Hey Corina have you thought about doing a live session? We could do a fun chat and CAL?! With music low in background. That would be so fun.
I would watch that
I would watch and also join in, I love live CAL’s
Love the idea!
I love this idea as well!!
I love that
I ❤how your channel blew up! It’s so exciting and well deserved! I love 💕 that you bring These vintage patterns back to life and we can join you along to make our own beautiful versions! 🤗
Thank you so much!
Imagine these squares as a sweater.... hear me out. You could decorate wach tree differently make them super tacky and make it your ugly Christmas sweater for the year... although ive always liked those sweaters personally...
You just brought back a part of my childhood. My aunt would make it really special around the holidays and let me sleep over. Every year the blanket would be left with a cookie in a stocking and a note from the elves that they left this for me to cuddle up until Christmas. I had to leave it on Christmas for Santa. Magically it would appear next year, even into adulthood we would check for the blanket. If we were naughty there was a piece of coal instead of a cookie and the same blanket in black with coal in the middle instead of the tree. Sadly, she’s no longer here and the blanket must have been left at the North Pole. Thanks to your channel I can make a throw and give it to my kids. Thank you so much for sharing this. Really love your channel and love the way you teach so easy to understand and do. I can’t really read a pattern, no one around me ever croqueted, except me, I had to teach myself without internet.
☺my project list is growing! Love Love Love Love!
Hiya, Isn't this just lovely! It says Christmas to me, the stitch pattern so effective. A delightful piece❣️
Love this pattern. Would it help to put a stitch marker in your corner chains as you make them? Then on the next round you wouldn’t have to hunt as the stitch marker would show you 😊
Everytime I watch one of your videos it feels like the mom from stepbrothers is teaching me to crochet 😂 (no disrespect just SUCH SIMILAR VOICES) i hope I’m not the only one who hears this and that I’m not crazy 😂 thank you Corinna for keeping me company while I work on my amigurumis!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Oh my goodness…cool! On my list for next year. In process of finishing gifts for this year😢🧶
ok that's just adorable! I think I'm going to make these in cotton and use them as trivets!!
how fun will that be for the Feast!?
thank you!
Me too
Wow! That is outstanding! I've used the alternating sc/dc stitches in Santa beards & hat brims - looks just like curly hair/fur! Love how the popcorn stitches make the tree stand out so beautifully. Not up to a blanket, but this will make a beautiful pillow top! Soft size 5 yarn with the border extended to fit a pillow form. Maybe do the top popcorn in gold or yellow for a tree topper. I HAVE to make one!
I've always wondered why you pull the old thread to the front when you attach a new color and then pull the old thread to the back to start working. Thank you for explaining that! Yes, I was that "but why" kid! Thank you for another excellent tutorial and for a new technique to improve my work!
I'm totally going to make this..🎄🧶
Lovely pattern ❤
Just wanted to say that I made like 30 of these cute squares and turned them into a cozy christmas vest!! wonderful project, very fun to make. thanks for sharing this one.
Maravilloso!!! Esta labor la haré!!
Love this , thanks! Going to make this
there is missing row right in the being (guessing Row 3) single crochet row. Jump cut. Bit confusing
Dark colors for a Victorian feel. Neon colors for pop art. Black and white for high contrast. So many ways to use one pattern! ❤
You are so fast with the videos. Great pattern and again a very nice video. Thank you so much
I would take a stik, (nature or bamboo) and turn it into a wall hanging some fringe ad the under side.
This will be my sofa Christmas pillow project! 😊🎉🎉🎉 Thank you - love it! ❤️
I have tried this over and over without ever getting to the end, something doesnt match up with my stitch count and im lost after row 2. I cant guess what happnes in row 3 trying to put it together from subsequent rows. It never turns out 😭
This would make a pretty holiday pillow cover.
This is fantastic because I bought this pattern from etsy 3 years ago along with the vintage crochet twist pattern and haven't made them yet. Thank you for the tutorial ❤❤🎄🎄❤❤🎄🎄
I love this and love you and your channel.
This pattern would make great hot pads in cotton.
Was thinking that was make I nice cushion cover instead of a blanket.
I'd probably use it for a pillow case, removeable for holidays. Great job, C! Threadhead Crew Hugs!
thanks for the video! still somewhat new to crochet, would be useful to see how you incorporated the green in the single crochet row in the beginning since that is a new concept to me. i am having a hard time getting mine to look like yours, any advice? thanks!
edit: also would be helpful to show how to weave in the excess yarn at the end, not sure how to do that successfully
When I first saw the thumbnail without reading the title, I thought it was the Lebanese flag 🇱🇧 lol. But very cute pattern. ❤️
Hola, en Chile hace mucho calor para tejerlo como manta, pero sí les daré utilidad en forma individual, como adorno. Gracias por compartir, cariños.
May make this with different colors cuz I need to get rid of some colors. How many average sized skeins would you say this will take? Sorry I have all my yarn in a bin without wrappers so I have no clue their size or how many yards they are.
I think I remember that pattern when it came out. It was one of the first of that "format" in the popular crafting mags and books. Is it McCall's? Seems they started those popcorn squares thing.
quick question (and sorry if you addressed this and i just missed it), but why does the pattern call for alternating the single and double stitches with the white on the cluster rows?
I loved your singing! I make peoples ears bleed! ❤❤❤
Fantástico. Nuchas gracias!
Where is round 3? Please….
Omg I love this. Can I use the glitter yarn that is 4 ply?
yes! and omg I love that idea :)
Super cute!!
I've said it before and I'll say it again: you make the neatest stuff!
Okay, I've gotta make this pattern. But not as a throw. No. I'm going to use DK or sports weight (or maybe fingering, but I think that'd be too small-gauge swatches, ugh!) and make placemats! Six squares (two by three) should do it nicely. I'm not a fan of raised joins, so I'd whip stitch through the back loops only, which produces an attractive little ditch.
ETA 1 hour later: Ordered the yarn! 1 skein red, 2 green, 3 "linen". How many placemats? Don't know. I'm just going to keep going til I run out of yarn.
Love that border. I'm finishing up an afghan (classic granny squares with MC purple) and I've been puzzling about what to use for the border. I think I've found it-thanks!
you could do the continuous join method
A friend sent me a link to your videos and I have enjoyed wasting too much time watching them. Keep it up! I have this pattern in a magazine in my basement. It was my moms. Either I stole it or she hid it on my shelf when decluttering. Not sure which. Most of our patterns are communal property. I made this when I was... 15ish. Mine didn't look that good. I also sewed the squares together with a yarn needle bc I couldn't make the corners look right when I was single crocheting them. This wasn't a vintage pattern when I made it. I kinda feel old now. :)
This is adorable. Thanks for solving the white showing. Lovely pattern
Thank you! 😊
So cute! You know, I don't have a Christmas blanket. Yet.
My birthday is Christmas & you'd think I'd have at least one.
🤣 Nope.
So, I'll be doing this one as soon as I get the yarn. I already went to etsy & got the pattern downloaded.
Thank you very much 😁
Love this square ❤😍! Thanks C😊🤓🙏! We'll see if it (mine)ends up being a blanket or just a few pot holders 😁.
I really wish all crochet channels would teach like you do. You are so easy to follow!!! This pne pattern I am working on right noow is driving me crazy! The girl doesn't speak english but the pattern is in english. I have torn each piece out probably 5 or 6 times now. I could have made this little cow several times over by now 😮
Thank you for the tutorial! Even without making this blanket specifically, your points on tapestry crochet are very useful!
That's really cute! I was a teenager in the 80s and this is definitely something my grandma would have made. :)
Yeah another video. You just popped in. Adorable.
I'm going to make some pot holders. These are incredibly adorable.
Wonderful pattern. 🎄 ❤
Супер 👍👌🙏♥️🌹
I love it to bits ,so tasteful and charming ,and i prefered the crochet join rather than the whip stitch
I would give it to Merlin, a gorgeous blanket for a gorgeous dog❤
💗
Very festive! Happy holidays ♥️
Adorable ! 🌲🌲🌲
I like the green tree with the white yarn lines showing. It reminds me of garland.
Very nice . I like it. Thank you for sharing. ❤
Ohhh this is a gorgeous blanket! ❤️🤍💚
Love this, making it now. Thank you
So adorable ❤ it , thank you so much !!
Beautiful Project, that yarn is so tough , I don’t know if I would do a whole quilt, could you imagine a stiff quilt. A Pot holder is in order, with a sandwich, open edge for gift . Anyway, Thank You for the inspiration.
Great idea!
I made it in cotton. I think it makes a great snack mat. ❤
I love that! It is so, so cute!!!
Love this pattern 😊
That is beautiful 😊
This is soooo cuteeeee
These qre so cute! 😊
This is so cute!!
Very nice! Simple design, but so pretty. I will make this one.
