I want to make this blanket as a Christmas present for this year. I've been very nervous about trying to make it encase I don't understand the written instructions. I can't explain how happy I am when I realised there are these videos which go so slowly and explain everything so well !
Watching this. I've finally got the confidence to make this blanket !!!
    Thank you so much !
Videos like these really help visual learners.

Anita, thank you for your wonderful videos. They are clear and concise. I started the blanket about a month ago and am about to start the Father Christmas hats. I would have never have thought in a million years that I could tackle a project like this. But, thanks to your outstanding videos, my project is awesome. Oh, I’m going to be making two of these. They will be presents for my twin great nephews. Thank you, thank you for sharing this!

Tip: get 15 bobby pins, chain 10 then pop a bobby pin into that stitch. Then repeat. When you run out of bobby pins, you should have 150 stitches. I've had to frog so many times until I found this tip. It's not my original but I can't remember where I saw it, sorry.

I use a similar method. I put a stitch marker every 30 stitches so I can see where the pattern repeats. I lose count any higher than about 35 😂

Patterns don't help me because the words confuse me. It's like trying to do algebra or trigonometry in your head. I am very much "monkey see, monkey do".
