tbh I was really sceptical at first, thought that the input lag will be too annoying to deal with but I got pleasantly suprised by it. It’s still there, but nowhere near as bad as when streaming games was a new thing. For someone who really enjoys old games - its’s a blessing to be able to play God of War 1 and 2, the Sly Cooper games, etc.
This service is completaly useless. The good thing of cloud gaming is to be able to play videogames on any device like a laptop for example. If you need a ps5 to play your own catalogue of ps5 games whats the point?? Xbox doing a much greater job by allowing users to stream any game pass game on your laptop or phone no matter how outdate is your device.
i hope xbox lets me stream digital library though without needing remote access to console. thats going to elevate it to the next level until we get native supported handhelds.
Both very valid points. I'm hoping the PS5 streaming expands given the terminology Sony have used, and Xbox have mentioned streaming games you've purchased before, so fingers crossed we see expansions to both
I don’t know why every time I try to play old god of war or cars 2 or any resident evil it keeps saying : your internet quality not be sufficient to play streaming games my: it keeps saying that and I have lan cable and no problems can someone explain what to do
The service itself is actually old by comparison to the competition, and even though this is new tech within the service, I'd expect to not encounter game lag like this given the 10+ years of experience in the industry. Hopefully as you say, it improves over time, but given the cost and history is still disappointing to come across.
@@Doragon86 It’s possible that the lag was particularly high that day or with that game but I’m sure the service will keep getting better as most things do. I’m streaming at 89mbs and the service is working good by my standards but my standards are pretty low 🤷♂️🤔
This is the only thing that breathed life into my PS4. I’m impressed by how many good games there are to stream. Sure if you’re a gamer snob you probably won’t like the speeds but I find it very acceptable. Also so many games to try that I would be afraid to waste money on so a year for 175us is not a whole lot when the entertainment value is there and probably will get even better with time. I dig it !
i think most of older game perform worse on any game streaming, while newer game was more smoother, maybe because the Newer game had access to a Streaming API, making it compress video faster, or optimize it for streaming, while older game, they didn't had access to that, and had to be streamed as it is without any optimization. this is also happen in Xcloud game, where older title game was sometimes get more lag, or in a low internet connection give you a lower quality pixelated image, While newer title, when you play with lower internet connection, they still somehow manage to stream the game with lesser artifacting and smoother experience like i played skyrim, and it was laggy and sometimes almost borderline unplayable, but play Forza on the other hand was smooth like butter.
To a degree yes. PS Cloud is on PC, but without the PS5 games, so you can get the back catalogue in PC at 1080p 60fps, this includes games like God of War, Ghost of Tsushima, Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West, Resistance 3, Primal and many more. There are talks of PS5 gaming being added in the future but with no time line yet
@@Doragon86 yeah I get that but I just put in over 100 hours to Assassin's creed Odyssey trying to get the platinum, that's a PS4 game with no PS5 version, very frustrating.
Soo it's nothing like Xbox game pass 😔 I activated a PS5 account on my friends so I can play cloud .. but, it sounds like you have to Remote play from the console to "Cloud Stream" 🥴
if someone is game sharing you you (meaning you have your friends account set as your home ps5) does that still give you access on your account ? I still have plus on my account just not premium
It's possible. If your friend has Premium and downloads a classics title to your console you can play that classic as long as their account is set as the primary account on the console. Cloud might be different but definitely worth a try
If you're playing via PS Plus Premium, there is a PC app as well that does support game streaming up to 1080p 60fps, GOW 2018 is included in that library. It will save your data and allow you to play on a PS console or Windows device. What it won't do is allow you to transfer that save to the PC version of GOW on steam, that version isn't accessible via cloud gaming right now and doesn't have cross save, but other than other controller or mouse and keyboard support you're not missing anything by playing the console version via PS Plus Premium on your Windows device. Hope that helps
how do I use cloud streaming i don’t know where to find it I have deluxe but it there’s no option for premium so idk if it’s just a different name or what
Deluxe is the Plus option for regions where cloud gaming isn't available. I'm sorry to say that unless Sony roll the service out further, you won't be able to access it
@@Doragon86 Do you believe that there is a possibility of changing the region of my ps5. I really want to play the first two infamous games without a ps3
@@klubblunka1031 A month ago I'd have said yes, but Sony and Microsoft have really started cracking down on the practice as you can get cheaper PS Plus subscriptions by changing your region. One option would be to use a VPN and geo-locate yourself to a country where Premium is available and works, but whether that would 1.) work at all, or 2.) be usable without horrific lag, is something I don't have an answer to I'm sorry to say
No still a thing, but it is geographically limited and dependent upon your connection to the servers unfortunately, so could be either of those challenges stopping you from streaming games
Streaming has audio popping, low compressed frame rate. Graphics glitching. 90% of the time the games won't start. Can't skip cinema scenes. Cheaper to buy a emulator with all PS2 and PS3 games.
Hello i don't speak or know how to say the things correctly in english lol 😂 but how much internet do we need to have to run the games with the sreaming? My internet only goes up to 34.0 Mbps (download) and 4.5 Mbps (upload)?
Sony say you need 15Mbps download for the 4K streaming, they don't mention upload speeds. I think, from my experience, you'll have an OK experience but you may need to limit your resolution to 1080p or 1440p to get the best experience
Unfortunately it looks like it won't. At least, not for a long while. India isn't mentioned as an existing cloud market for Sony (Hence PS Plus Deluxe rather than Premium) or in its future roll outs
i think this is pointless atm PS doing this maze well get the CD off vinted or something like that, like i've got COD MW for ps4 for £5 instead of buying off the store for like £50
I just tried this because i forgot to play the left behind part of last of us part 1 when it was installed on my ps5. I didnt feel like downloading the entire game just for the expansion so it did come in useful for that use case and it works surprisingly well. Still i dont see this being a primary way to play as streaming is very hit or miss.
I’m looking for a solution. I have 6 games downloaded on my PS5 console and with certain game updates I am now out of space. It won’t let any of my games update now because of not enough space. I do not want to delete my games from my console but is this cloud streaming maybe an option? I have so many questions…
Worth trying it out. Most games feel like native console titles to me, if it doesn't work for you, no harm no foul. You can also install an M.2 drive really easily to expand storage if needs be
I don't actually know the answer to this one. I would think no as you cannot direct stream the content to UA-cam ot Twitch and it'd use similar processes to Share Play, but stranger things have happened so definitely worth a try

It doesn’t cost any console storage to stream but the performance depends on your internet. that’s all, nothing else
