Awww so cute! Yes, I wipe them with cotton pads soaked in warm water and I also use the pro pooch tear stain remover. It definitely helps but they're not completely eliminated as you can see, although I don't do it as often as I should!

Yes, Shane, once your female is spayed she will no longer produce the hormones to go into heat, also known as coming into season which is when she would have a bloody discharge. Human females are not fertile while going through their periods as the bloody discharge is a cleansing process of the uterus, whereas in canines this bloody discharge acts as an attractant to potential mates.
‘ heat is not a menstrual period’ it’s an occurance with female dogs that occurs about 5/6 months and when dog basically ovulates and can be impregnated. Usually when s dog is spade it stops this ovulation or heat but occasionally if a piece of ovarian or fallopian tubing left inside the female fog will present self as if invs heat but can’t get impregnated. All male dogs still redpindvto the fermines she still releases and try to impregnate the female. This happened to one of mybStsndard Poodles and can have a spade redone but if delayed and female older it just becomes s difficult situation every 5 months you must fruitlessly endure. Actually it’s s nightmare if intact mate of females lives in same household. You most generally want to employ a different veterinarian!!
If you dont mind me saying so Sophie little Evie if thats how you spell her name , looks like she could do with a bit of brushing before her coat starts to tangled up . a HAVANESE is the sort of DOG I would'nt mind having
I have a four month old Havanese puppy that is pretty restless while getting groomed, though I carry on and give him lots of praise and sometimes treats (I'm trying not to get in a rut where he's more motivated by treats than kudos and lovies) for when he's being cooperative. Some days are better than others, though he is consistently getting better about it and coming to enjoy his grooming sessions. Grooming is integral part of his daily routine as keeping tangles at bay is essential. However, it doesn't take long for him to be a scruffy looking puppy again, like I never brushed him! At least no major tangles or mats develop between the at least once a day grooming sessions.
Potty training is actually what I found the easiest, but I think that may be because Evie's breeder didn't use puppy pads so she was used to going outside from the start. She still had a few accidents in the house in the first couple of months, but she did learn very quickly. I was also hyper aware and would take her out every hour when she was awake during those first couple of months, even if she showed no signs of needing to go, just in case. Seemed to work well!

Hi! Do you do anything to address her tear stains? How has that been? We have a 6 month white havanese with blonde ears as well!
