They have a few on stage live shows on youtube here and a few bonus specials that isnt on Netflix. Just a wee heads up as I found them other day. Binged watched several times this show and wanted more haha so yea go looky up the other things. AND do not forget the other shows made by them " Chewin the Fat " and " the karen Dubar show ". Hope you find more fun in them. Love from Dunfermline Scotland
Honestly, I am glad they put it to rest. The revival was just missing that charm and nature that the orignal run had. It became more of a pantomime than a honest show that gave the viewers believable stories. It was turning into Mrs Brown's Boys, and the best episode of the revival wasn't even as good as the worst episode of the Still Game we all came to love a decade before. It isn't even a case of nostalgia or anything like that. The show just didn't shine as well in modern times. It should have been left in the past. Methadone Mick was a good example of how basic and unoriginal the revival was.
@@maverickrob9199 ya very true. It happens with a lot of shows and movies. i was new to the whole Scottish comedy and I loved it from the start. but like you said Its good they put it to rest but apart of me will always wish there is more you know?.
@@brandonlebel9211 Aye, I wish that they would make a new series that would capture the warm charm like the 2002-2008 run. But sadly the modern world just doesn't really benefit a wholesome show like Still Game. The revival proved that the show just felt forced, lifeless, and uninspired in today's world. The beauty of the old Still Game episodes was that it gave us believable stories with relatable characters, and it didn't try and hash in things that were popular at the time to try and appear cool and relevant. Lets be honest, no one would give someone as unlikeable as Methadone Mike the time of day in the real world. He was a pantomime performance that just sucked the life dry out of a beloved series that was filled with lovable and witty characters. I was surprised with how many people loved him when the revival started. As someone who watched the show since the early 2000's, he was the absolute bottom of the barrel.

Hallo to all the gang....we all love you all! Many many thanks for all the writing and characters. We’ll watch forever...we all feel we know you or someone like you in our lives. Sad? No....Glesga patter is great in real life and you’ve captured it brilliantly in Still Game. There is no accent in the writing, it’s transferable worldwide. Many thanks guys you’ve made comic history. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👍🏴😉
From Canada my husband and I just happened to find this on Netflix a couple of months ago and watched the whole series now we are watching it a third time my husband insists on watching as he is still trying to get used to the Scottish accent even after 30yrs of me I can’t stop laughing to me it almost makes it bearable when I feel homesick to watch it and have a good old laugh 😂 even my Canadian kids enjoy it as they do with scotch and rye with Ricky Fulton we should be pushing more of our fantastic Scottish talent abroad,
Simply the best comedy series ever from any corner of Britain.. Pure genius. Watched all of them 5 times and still laugh even as an Englishman you get the slang and the crack
When you see these folks being themselves, it's kind of strange lol. Well for me and my husband anyway (who's English, bless him lol and lived here in Scotland for about 20 years with me) because we are so used to seeing them in Still game, which we both love, as we find it very funny with extremely true to life heart warming story lines. But anyway seeing them as themselves, makes you realise that they are skilled actors. We specially love the original theater play thay did as Jack, Victor and Winston. Well worth a watch if you haven't already seen it, and they were a lot younger then but still show there acting and writing skills by playing old men 😎👌 these actors make me very proud to be Scottish 🏴
What was Sanjeev Kholi's response to Paul's question about being the first character to open the live show? I've replayed it 4 times and can't make out what he says.
Only good thing about the lockdown I found still game on Netflix’s totally hooked absolutely brilliant.yer bastard😂
I accidentally found it. I have been to Scotland once but loving the show for the accent and the fun

Phyl Renshaw Paul Riley is my uncle
Emma Riley your uncle is my favourite character...
@Phyl Renshaw, he said "I can't speak English, alright?" in Hindi. This answer is 5 years too late lol.
Least he said chasing the chicken and no choking it 🤣

There is a westend crew and another crew..
theyre nearly all bald yet yet they all have full hair on the show
James murphy They’re called wigs
Sorry but seasons 1-6 were the best in my opinion.Season 7 and 8 lost the timing, and remained with the one joke toooooo long !!!
Absolutely correct I agree the 10 year break lost the magic I'm afraid
i reckon greg looks like francis rossi lol
Then you need a trip to Spec-Savers🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
After season 1 it became forced and average
Live show was rubbish...Tv show is best Scottish tv show ever
Yes TV shows were/are great!
Totally agree ........ when successful sit-comes take to the stage, it's always a bit of a let-down ........ I don't know who comes up with the idea.
