Before doing such major changes on any of my RVTW trips, I copy it first and make the edits in the copy. Later, I delete the original and rename the copy. I stopped using the fuel feature in my first year. THANKS...

Thanks for watching. I keep working on the same one but do make backups. It is always a good idea to keep a backup. Safe travels.

Lots of fun. We are headed to Dallas where there is a Tornado Watch in affect. We lived there for 3 years and I don't remember having one of those which is probably because I'm old and just don't remember as well. The trip has been very windy so far. The air quality has be 177 today. Last year it was the smoke and this year it is wind.

This is going to be a LONG comment as we have specific local knowledge we wish to share with you.
    1. Your original plans to travel through WY and CO along the !-80 and !-25 corridors would have not caused you major problems. April along I-80 is high altitude but also high desert. The snow season is mostly over and those roads stay open and mostly snow free. Temps can still range into the 20's and 30's night. However, if you were planning to travel into RMNP or the WY/CO mountains those roads tend not to be clear and all open until July.
    2. We strongly urge you to consider changing your route to along the Gulf Coast in Deep South. It is predicted by many in the weather forecasting business that this spring is going to be the worst for severe weather in over ten years for the Central States ( KS OK MO IA AK OH IN KY TN ) . This incudes wave after wave of severe thunderstorms and high level tornado outbreaks. This pattern has already been in place during March with a number of level 3 and 4 tornados already. Our original travel itinerary included following roughly your same route about one week after you. The severe weather predictions convinced us to completely change plans and go instead to Montana in May. The same weather forecasters are calling for
MUCH below average severe weather along the coast (until hurricane season!) .
    3. We agree the Baltimore Beltway on the northside is your best option. Propane cylinders are pretty much banned in any of the highway tunnels and some of the bigger bridges along the East Coast. Unsure about the regulations about the Penn. Turnpike which has multiple tunnels westward.
    4. Maryland: we suggest if you have time to visit the following: Harpers Ferry (WV), Gettysburg (PA), Fort Frederick (MD), the Apple Orchards of Hancock (MD) and Antietam (MD)
    5. Pennsylvania: we suggest if you have the time: the old iron furnaces of SE Penn and Valley Forge.
    6. Colorado : we suggest if you have the time: the RR museum in Limon and downtown Fort Collins.
    7. Wyoming: we suggest if you have the time: Downtown Cheyenne, the I-80 rest area at MP 323 (Laramie), US 30 between Laramie and Walcott (multiple unusual places),
    and Fort Bridger (Lyman).

Thanks for all the great info Michael. It will take a bit to filter through and compare the map. 1. Ninette was most concerned about the cold but good to know because now we will be there at the end of September. Hoping for the best. 2. Weather is always a concern. We could have a turbulent time for 2 weeks specifically as we head over to Georgia. We went along the coast 2 years ago and are visiting friends on our way to our daughters this year. We are going to keep an eye on the sky and keep the weather radio on and go day to day. Thanks for the concern and the heads up. 3. I'm a bit stressed over the east cost more than the weather. I have always managed the weather but never driven up the East Coast. 4, 5, 6, & 7. Thanks for the suggestions. We will see if we can add these to our map. What a trip.

@@TignerAdventures A less stressful and much more interesting route is to take US Route 1 in many places. It is much like Route 66 with many older structures and travel icons and "tourist traps" runs from Florida to Maine. I am originally from "DC" so this is how I gained my knowledge. hope to meet you in Fort Morgan later in the year.
