Of course you can, I wouldn't even consider a new turntable with just two speeds. The new SL series from Technics comes with native 78rpm and popular mod can be bought from KAB to upgrade an older SL-1210 with that speed as well. All it then takes is a pickup with a suitable stylus (unless you have a new microgroove 78rpm record), and maybe a pre-amp with different curve settings. But the latter can be achieved by software quite easily.
