Delightful! Actually played the tuba in eighth grade music class. We all got assigned to a different instrument than we usually played. Lots of fun.

the picture of the 2 girls in the street restaurant is in France ( or French-speaking part of Switzerland or Belgium),because it says Telephone with an accent aigu on the first e ( which I don't have in my laptop) ! BUT the second "e" should also be written with an accent aigu !! one girl is writing ( she's NOT looking at her cell phone !! hahaha! and she is drinking an aperitif ,maybe Dubonnet. The bottle on the other table contains water with gas under pressure. It was common until the fifties ( I remember it ) to have that in all "cafes" in France and in Switzerland ( I don't know about the other European countries) So every time you had an aperitif ( or the children a " sirop" you could put whatever quantity of this water as you wanted. These were good times ( apart from the 2 wars of course !) But for me and my friends, born in Switzerland just at the beginning of WW2 and until 1965 we had a really happy youth. we were optimistic, employment was very easy to find and well paid. we could travel all around Europe with our I.D. ( no need of the UE for that) contrary to what many of you think today !!
