Please do more Time Guesser videos. The movie set actually being Reagans attempted assassination and Jimmy saying Lenin had swag and a 90s goatee is gold. Also I wouldn't get another history guy on the team. It's more entertaining seeing everyone's guessing / thought process than just going to one guy for the answer. And you guys did pretty good without one.
34:48 Normandy and Cologne Cathedral - D-Day was June 6, 1944. VE Day (Victory in Europe) was May 8, 1945. Since the sign was about drawing fire on our fighting men, 1945 was the upper limit for the year. The Italian Campaign started in '43, so it could have been that early, but '44 & '45 were far more likely. - It didn't seem likely that the building would be right on the beach. The Rouen Cathedral is in Normandy and is the most likely candidate if it were in Normandy. Maybe there are other historic cathedrals there, but I haven't heard of them. The Rouen Cathedral was consecrated by William the Conqueror a few years before his 1066 conquering of England, which is part of why its famous. Rouen was the Norman capital. Caen was also a significant pre-1066 invasion Norman city and it's closer to the D-Day beaches. - Finding the D-Day beaches on Google maps isn't easy if you don't know exactly where to look. Boulogne-sur-Mer, where they guessed, is between the Pas-de-Calais and the D-Day beaches. The Pas-de-Calais was the main decoy location as it's the shortest distance to England. The D-Day beaches are between Le Havre in the east and Cherbourg in the west. - As for the location, I was originally torn between Paris 1944 and Cologne 1945. Cologne Cathedral is very famous and Germany's most visited landmark. Paris makes a lot of sense for sightseers, however, the German general in charge disobeyed Hitler's orders and didn't defend the city against Allied liberators. By the time English-speaking troops were in the city, that sign wouldn't be necessary. Yes, this is a lot of words that only a few people would find interesting. To answer your question, no, I don't have anything better to do.
Kölner Dom, the greatest cathedral in Europe, unmistakeble... German tank.... "Belgium. Oh, Cologne, so I wasn't far off." hahahahahahah. Americans. I L.O.V.E. This!
There were Biden for President signs, which was an important hint, though catching that it was likely the 70s or 80s was good. I was torn between '87 and '88. I would have considered Dover, but since he was US Senator, not in state office, and much of Delaware's population is in in the Wilmington-area and there was a sizeable building in the background, that made more sense. Civics lesson: Presidential elections are in years divisible by four. US Senate elections in even numbered years with one-third of the seats up for election each time as it's a 6-year term. Love TimeGuessr since I'm a history dork who's decent at geography. I like it much more than GeoGuessr, because I don't care about bollards, iconic grass, or memorizing the Google Street View car for different regions.
it's a small thing, but I love how Jake especially has taken a page out of Jerry Springer's book and starts every ad read with a big "WOAH!" now. Great callback to classic baggage.
I might be the only communist Jomboy and Jake fan so this might now make any sense to anyone else but Jake saying “swaaag” to a picture of Vladimir Lenin is the funniest and coolest thing that’s ever happened in one of these videos
somehow I have seen the majority of these photographs and could easily identify the time and place of them all within 1 year, even though I’d always thought of myself as being uninterested in photography… Who knows lol
"Normandy is in France... you know, above England" This is the best thing JomBoy has ever created. I'm pissing my pants coz they are serious and you can tell they think they are crushing it. Hahahhahsh. Americans
Might wanna learn about our election cycles, y’all. Senators have 6 year terms, congressmen have 2 year terms. So their elections are always on even years. Virginia’s governors elections are on the year following a presidential election, so those are odd years every 4 years.
Wait, I just thought of this. Why promote a Delta 9 product when NY is fully legal? Next year in Ohio I will not be looking for Delta 8 and 9 products anymore lol.
Talking about the actors outfit when it was Reagan's attempted assassination lmao
And that it looks like a “buddy cop movie.” 😂
20:51
could be more right than they know
Lmao it's great they are oblivious to it being secret service agents
"Picture of Lenin" That guy got very 90s goatee 😂😂😂
Fashion is timeless Jimmy
Oh wow, and they choose Leningrad 😂

Lenin rocking that 90's goatee
Jimmy just appreciating Lenin's swag
Them so confidently assuming that the iconic Reagan assassination attempt was a movie is incredible 🤣
"The actors outfits" 😭😂
obsessed with jimmy describing lenin’s goatee as very 90s lmfao
Penik and Dalton have never heard of Andre 3000, but Zack recognizes Tate and Polanski. Impressive sir
I love that Jimmys dates for historical times and events are all off slightly 😂😂

“Where were they sending out all their subs from?” “Oh, you know…” Zack killing me 😂
The Normandy stuff was torture
As someone who just rewatched jimmy play cronophoto LAST NIGHT before bed, this was a pleasant surprise!
Is that on UA-cam?
28:00 Kyrgyzstan was in the USSR!
Kölner Dom, the greatest cathedral in Europe, unmistakeble... German tank....
"Belgium. Oh, Cologne, so I wasn't far off."
hahahahahahah. Americans. I L.O.V.E. This!
Jake: Are you getting any location vibes?
Jomboy: That garbage pail looks…
the reasoning during the WW2 round was absolutely crazy xD
Me screaming "It's Berlin! It's the Fernsehturm!!!!" while Jomboy thinks it's India.
Yea, me too! Easy clue
Yeah the tower really jumped out to me too. I didn't know the time, but Berlin was where I thought right away with that.
Previously did not know of this game but it rules both to play and watch you guys play. Thanks for the rec
"Am I holding a boom mike while there's shooting going on?" made me laugh so hard
Lenin definitely had a very '90s goatee, Jim. Keep in mind that he died in 1924, so it would have been more 1890s than you were probably thinking.
This is one of my favorite series you guys do, and this was such a good ep.
Knew the Reagan assassination attempt right away....tough one but does look like a scene if you don't recognize it from history
Secret Service guy holding an Uzi was the dead giveaway for me.
Jimmy absolutely killed me in this one. 😂LOVE this game, can't wait for the next one
“you can tell by the stance… and the pen” SENT me 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

All-Stars: Vlad (3), Arenado (8), Seager (4), DeGrom (4), Scherzer (8 X) = 19

it's a small thing, but I love how Jake especially has taken a page out of Jerry Springer's book and starts every ad read with a big "WOAH!" now. Great callback to classic baggage.
Zoom out on the Washington Monument asian mob boss pic was HUGE
Jimmy's WW2 knowledge is the perfect example of knowing just enough to be wrong 😄
4:55 Is that a Knicks shirt or an AIDS awareness shirt?
Oh my gosh that WHOLE THING was Normandy, you gotta look for Omaha Beach or like Caen.
"His knees are exposed!"
(Lenin) "guy has a very 90s stache" - Jimmy 2023 😂 🤦
20:50 It's so wild that they think the Reagan assassination attempt was a "buddy cop film"
45:28 Why are they taking all of that flammable stuff to a forest fire?
"That dude" being Vladimir Lenin. 😂
I didn't recognise Sharon Tate but I did recognise Lenin
Does anybody recognize these actors? *Points to secret service members* 😂
Y'all need a new history/years person
Jomboy calling Lenin's goatee 90's hahaha
"Berlin. It's Berlin. The radio tower! The big-ass spherical radio antenna back there! IT'S BERLIN!"
"Damn it."
Hahaha, this was awesome.
I might be the only communist Jomboy and Jake fan so this might now make any sense to anyone else but Jake saying “swaaag” to a picture of Vladimir Lenin is the funniest and coolest thing that’s ever happened in one of these videos
Are we ever going to get laughs from the past back? Asking for a friend
TIL Lenin has a 90s goatee lol
Huge fan of this!
I thought they did pretty well.
The fact yall didn’t know that was Reagan’s assassination attempt is crazy 😂
I thought that was a bit at first with Reagan lmao
Still trying to figure out why Jimmy thinks there's a cathedral on the beaches of Normandy. And he says he's been there. 😑
owow i was just watching your old chronophoto videos
"We fucked up"?! 😂 You do know they attacked us first, right?? You ever heard of Pearl Harbor? 🤣
Not knowing Lenin lmao
Flag guy missing the east german flag was genuinely disappointing
Also, that tower was the giveaway of Berlin
Vladimir Lenin the peak of 90s fashion
Great video
Lol, y'all didn't know Lenin or the Reagan assassination attempt.
How do you look at that last photo and not realize it's Koln in 1945ish?
Vladimir Lenin has a 90's Goatee... noted.
I love you guys and I would watch you watch paint dry. However, that... was oftentimes painful to watch.
"who marches like this?" A lot of them used to, then one group in particular made it pretty unpopular, at least in the West.
D day was 1944, fellas
Can we get a version of Closkstoppers starring Jimmy and Jake? I'd pay good money to see that
Everyone whonknows anything while watching, Manson murders where 69 how is he this wrong.
This Summer: Honey, I Forgot to Duck
Here I am in the UK where I have to buy weed on the black market, and I'm watching a video sponsored by a weed company. Bit jealous.
Whats on the ground? Ahahahaha
There were signs that said “BIDEN FOR PRESIDENT”. So let’s figure out when they don’t run for President. 😂
somehow I have seen the majority of these photographs and could easily identify the time and place of them all within 1 year, even though I’d always thought of myself as being uninterested in photography… Who knows lol
These 4s lack of any actual history knowledge is insufferable
"Normandy is in France... you know, above England"
This is the best thing JomBoy has ever created. I'm pissing my pants coz they are serious and you can tell they think they are crushing it. Hahahhahsh. Americans
SMH, yelling at the screen, “that’s when Reagan was shot, you numbskulls!”
