Made my way out to Tulsa, OK for the RC Chili Bowl thanks to Whitz Racing Products. Email: stacktheback@gmail.com Follow STB on Facebook: / stacktheback
It would be really cool if there was a class that used old RC super late model rules on new chassis. 4wd, wings, offset wheels, no roof and huge side boards.
Dude no joke I have a open wheel modify slash brushless upgrade 3s lipo and you can barley keep it on a track y’all guys are a lot better than me if y’all are pushing power like I am cause I can’t keep mine on a track 😂😂😂
I'm so glad I got to go all 6 nights I met Rico Abbreau 2'time chili bowl champ He hugged me and gave me 2 autographs Everyone was jealous that saw it can't wait tell next year!
I miss running them did it for years… made it to b main in the mod latemodel at chilli few years back … missed to show by two positions… set up is difficult and consistency is everything
They are so much fun I have a 1/4 scale asphalt nascar cup car and asphalt modified in ,1/4 scale a bunch of tenth scale cars for carpet oval and road course racing which is insanely fast rc racing and have 1/4 scale sprint for dirt and 1/5 scale dirt lates rc cars are just as much fun as real oval racing I can't race real oval cars anymore cuse of back and this does it for the itch. Those latemodels and sprints you showed at begining guys are not cheap about 500-1k in those sprint cars lol it's hard at first but a blast. And our carpet track is same size as this track in video it's huge no banking on carpet oval racing but just as fun the cars actually handle better flat then on banking tbh and they haul the mail. We race every weekend and open practice every day and race Thursday nights every week as well we do oval one week road course following then onroad weeks we set jumps up and do off-road on Sundays
I had the locals with the mud buses and their brushless motors concerned while they watched me and my rc10 with a mid-mounted modified motor with brushes, nickel metal hydride batteries. Old school rules
do some guys run like the headsets with cameras attached to the cars? like they do with drones and such i feel like that’d be maybe easier to drive being somewhat first person. also curious to know if their’s any rules against that in this if it’s not regular already …
@@stacktheback right. They could have a whole separate class for it. It might bring more people over to the rc car racing scene from the FPV drone scene.
I liked the whole video but the only three problems. the auto focus on your closeup and blurring out the background. and snappiness of the view while your where turning the camera. content was great tho
This is FANTASTIC! I Just added it to my BucketList with my son!!!!!!!
That's awesome!
This brings back memories of racing my RC-10 with the sprint car frame, had a MIP diff... Great times!
I'll have to look up some pics of that set up. Love vintage RC cars.
Good old days. miss it I want to get back in it.
It would be really cool if there was a class that used old RC super late model rules on new chassis. 4wd, wings, offset wheels, no roof and huge side boards.
These are a lot harder to drive then it looks!
Can confirm
Dude no joke I have a open wheel modify slash brushless upgrade 3s lipo and you can barley keep it on a track y’all guys are a lot better than me if y’all are pushing power like I am cause I can’t keep mine on a track 😂😂😂
Enjoyed it. I used to race r/c buggies. The local hobby shop had a indoor track. Had a blast.
Wish we had a track local here in Concord, NC!
I want one from 🇦🇺 Australia To be a desplay ,the best
Us Oklahomans love our dirt track real or rc cars.
I can see that!
I'm so glad I got to go all 6 nights

Awesome entertainment! Great job.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Keep on pushing content like this
Now I wish I wouldn't of backed out going to the chili bowl this year. Would of loved to of seen this. maybe next year.
Hopefully we will be there next year as well!
No nitrous 8th scale anymore??
I miss running them did it for years… made it to b main in the mod latemodel at chilli few years back … missed to show by two positions… set up is difficult and consistency is everything
That car is really sharp

When we raced we started from a standing start and we raced each other. The transponder was to keep track of laps .we didn't race against the clock.
So you are still technically racing against each other in the mains. The clock is essentially just the laps remaining.
Do the late models have similar suspension to the real deal? 4 link, J bar, rear steer etc?
My friends dad was there racing posely racing I think? I've ways loved these things
That's awesome!
This is a good video
I had the locals with the mud buses and their brushless motors concerned while they watched me and my rc10 with a mid-mounted modified motor with brushes, nickel metal hydride batteries. Old school rules
That's awesome!
How do I get car like that How much ?????
I remember Cooper's R/C in Virginia use to host these
Definitely!
I drove from Wisconsin to Coopers in ‘93 for the Roar dirt oval nationals.
Good times. Great facility
They need to run 5th scale latemodels too
That would be awesome!
AGREED

Not that I know of...but that would be awesome!! Might have to rig up a drone camera on a late model and see what it looks like.
Why’s the camera shaking like Michael J Fox in a snow storm?
I know Kevin lol what’s up old man!
Don’t they have a gyro?
Cool cars! What's going on at 6:15, what are they checking?
Battery voltage. Can't exceed a certain number.
These are cool but 1/4 scale is badass
1/4 scale just sounds fun.
I’d love to run that race some day.
It's definitely worth the trip.
How do they keep time and laps do they have transponders in the car
They have little transponders in them
I'd love to see rc car racing using fpv camera setups on the cars.
That would be cool!
@@stacktheback right. They could have a whole separate class for it. It might bring more people over to the rc car racing scene from the FPV drone scene.
As an RCer myself, I can tell these would be insanely difficult to drive well.
What popped on the screen at like the 8:45 mark
My buddy Sean is mr.rcfuntime and great guy hope you got to meet and visit with him
Was supposed to be on his podcast, but I believe he had to leave early.
Nice job. Good video.
First time to your channel.
Is stack the back a reference to hunt the front??
In a way yes…we Stack The Back more then we Hunt The Front.
@@stacktheback Nice.
Good luck out there 👍

Thanks for the feedback. It's definitely a work in progress.
Very keen to get a wingless rc where's the best place to get one thanks
We we're running Custom Works cars with CK Speed Shop chassis. www.whitzracing.com to get a motor for one.
@@stacktheback could I grab a link 🙏
www.customworksrc.com/ and facebook.com/TheCKspeedShop
Can I turn my associated b6.1 into a late model
I don't think so. I think you can turn it into a "Mid West Modified" though.
how fast are these
Please tell me someone complained about an aero push! 😄
Who makes the rc cars ????
I was a driving a Custom Works RC Late Model and Sprint.
video real shaky or just me?
Definitely a little shaky. It’s a work in progress lol.
@@stacktheback what setup are you using?
Damn
👍
To bad there not nitro
I agree!
What brand are the kits for your cars?
Custom Works
@@stacktheback thanks for the info.
What tulsa
Where are the gas powered RC cars
This was a 1/10th scale race.
These would be cool if they were gas powered,. Electric motors just aren't exciting
Electric is its own beast entirely. It’s comparable to your Mustang GT against a stock Tesla
Electric is faster.
I build a lot of rc’s but honestly these look extremely slow and boring AF
more talking video not good
Scale speed un realistic...Clown show
