The GROM has been awesome in our 2006 XC70. A wonderful tool to integrate modern technology to the older Volvos while keeping a factory look/function. Note at 4:40 I highly recommend soldering that electrical connection. The mechanical crimp failed after 2 months and I had to go back and solder it properly. Sweat once and do it right.

Very pleased with the GROM kit in a 2006 XC70. Easy install along with this video. Hardest part was threading the cord from the HU to the GROM device under the shifter area. I ended up using a pullcord to navigate it up through the plastic air ducts as it is a tight fit.
