Vw T4 Headlamp Upgrade, wow we can see!!

This is a short guide on how we have upgraded the headlamps on our 1997 short nosed VW t4 double cab "projectdoka" this is mainly used for a site hack at festivals but is also a promo vehicle for Vanwest and Dubtoberfest VW festivals.

The only trouble is with this system is that if the fuse blows you lose both dip or main lights instantly. I used two cheap looms( total cost £18) and got rid of the long fly leads, use one loom for each side which gives you a relay and fuse for each individual bulb filament so if a fuse blows you’ll still have the other side working. Volt drop is negligible and when the alternator is charging you can get more than 12 volts at the bulb.
