One of the greatest vidwans of our times providing the most beautiful link to the past and yet making future looking seamless. In my own life I have had opportunity to host his concerts in San Jose since 2002 and had the opportunity to host him and care for him in our house. The most memorable was when I had the opportunity to honor the vidwan as part of a SIFA volunteer 2 yrs ago.. Will never forget that. Long live vidwan Prof Krishnan
Maestro Krishnan!! Well known all around the world by his touch of Carnatic violin! He sublimated this instrument so thoroughly so soulfully that Yehudi Menuhim said "my respect, admiration towards such a great Master"!!!

TN Krishnan's all time great recordings are with Ariyakudi Ramanuja Iyengar, Madurai Mani Iyer, GNB and Semmangudi. I have heard his solos live when he was well into his 80s and even 90s. That sound was incomparable, the energy and joy in his playing and the sweet simplicity of his music touched and thrilled the rasikas.

Violin really uses by some very famous doctors to make patients recover and as a palliative solution for worst case....read few ocassions...
