  • This is a little tribute video to my dad, Glenn. We'll talk a little bit about a model that I build for him a few years before he passed away. Enjoy! And watch to the end, for a funny little video Dad made back in 1979!

Love the video. It sounds like he was a great man. My dad served in the Navy as well. In turn, I served in the AF. Beautiful model!

What a cool and unique tribute to your Dad. The puppet video really reveals the personality you described. I like Naval aviation; I have a Huey UH1 D model kit that I’ve never built. #Enterprise

6:38 I don't think they understood how that Tilley was supposed to work (let alone, look like). nice work, overall though.

Your dads ship is now a artificial reef off the coast of Florida. She hasn't really been under the water that long she was intentionally sunk probably 10 years ago or less.

No, Oriskany was sunk as an artificial in May 2006. It's been underwater for nearly 20 years now.
I've seen videos of the wreck taken shortly after and as late as 2010. She was definitely showing signs of further deterioration (some large holes in the flight deck and the rust is spreading all over the interior) but the ship had minimal maintenance since it was decommissioned in 1976.
