I am 81 years old. I bought my first truck in 1964. I have seen lots of ups and downs in those 60 years, but this one has been a bloodbath. Everything is paid for. I sold some at auction, but I'm going to hold off selling any more. I had to switch insurance companies because my previous insurer wanted me to insure everything I had title to. My current insurance company let me take trucks out of service and park them in a secure lot with DOT numbers removed. I keep up with Ritchie Bros as well as Taylor&Martin. Trucks are going cheap, but I just can't feature anyone going out and buying a truck right now. I have fears people are buying cheap trucks and hoping to pay for them with cheap freight. I am still operating a few trucks just to provide jobs for a few guys that have been with me for many years. At my age, the wise thing would be to shut everything down and take what I can get at auction. I have other income.
The big question on everyone's mind is the regime change going to provide a pathway back to profitability. I hope so but we just won't know until we get much further into the new year.
Hi, is it possible to but a truck and make it available to the company ????? Once at the disposal of the company that pays the taxes and fees for the truck ?????
Hey if you got frustrated drivers tell them to pull up an Nintendo switch while getting loaded that's how i kept chill while waiting for the forklift guys
Don’t think they care. You have Biden saying truckers will not have jobs in 5 years. Trump said he’s all for visas that he uses visa workers on all his properties. Starting to sound like drivers are the next crop pickers “that a job Americans refuse to do” all you can do is not take cheap freight and take Kent Rodger’s advice "If you're gonna play the game, boy You gotta learn to play it right You've got to know when to hold 'em Know when to fold 'em Know when to walk away And know when to run You never count your money When you're sittin' at the table There'll be time enough for countin' When the dealin's done Every gambler knows That the secret to survivin' Is knowin' what to throw away And knowin' what to keep 'Cause every hand's a winner And every hand's a loser And the best that you can hope for Is to die in your sleep"
@19177vmo awww you mad? Why do immigrants run from there home countries just get a handout from American taxpayers....simply go where your from some we can make America great again...we didn't ask yall to come here.period #Unwanted Guest
Drivers!!!! Why we all keep complaining while there are other jobs we can do other than trucking??????? The only reason we all keep trucking is because we all make goood money and we are still complaining 🤣😂🤣😂 Company drivers are not allowed to complain ✋🛑
it doesn’t look like 25 will be better, too many eilegal immigrants and draft dodgers from Ukraine come here and going into trucking, competition is insane
you guys are ruining the market by running too cheap. $2.10/all miles (hopefully all miles) is very low even for this shitty year especially when you consider that you have 100% outbound customer loads and 50% inbound. STOP HAULING CHEAP FREIGHT.
Yep u still made more money then the owner operator and company driver did so dont bs ppl about how u lost money this last year bc i made alittle more money this year then last year
You'd be surprised to know we didn't. In fact, to cover certain expenses, Ronen and Roman have even used personal finances to ensure that we can keep at it. We in fact did not make more this year than last year

Thanks for sharing! Hopefully the new year brings better times
Hello , trucker from Belgium sending his regards. Goodluck in 2025. I cant complain on my end.
Good luck lad!
cheap freight will kill even the best trucking company!
Good news is that it can only get better.
Wrong answer
Incredibly valuable video here
Keep up the good work Ronen. Let’s have a great new year. Happy New Year!
Cheers to a brighter 2025!
As a hazmat company driver earning $.75 per mile and driving all the miles we can handle, we are the only winners this year. 💪🏼
Haha, congrats to you man!
You are 100 percent right
The big question on everyone's mind is the regime change going to provide a pathway back to profitability. I hope so but we just won't know until we get much further into the new year.
Thanks Ronan. Appreciate your videos!!
Glad you're enjoying them!
Great information and i enjoy all your videos. Thank you.
Glad you like them!
Best of luck in New Year 🎉
Same to you!
Perfect stormy eh 🇨🇦🙈🇺🇸
I think there are a lot of places fingers should be pointed long before you point them at the immigrants
New prices are finally coming down so that’s good, we picked up 2 brand new 2024 for $155,000 usd
I am looking for a box truck with a sleeper, and I don't see those dropping in price. Darn it.
I didn't even realize they had sleepers for box trucks
Don’t say you’re complaining just say that you’re venting😂
Venting does sound a lot better
As a beginner. Last year I was offered 16$h as a daily 400km round trips . . Same fucking run
30$h with my company lol 😂😂😂😂
Sounds about right
Hi, is it possible to but a truck and make it available to the company ?????
Once at the disposal of the company that pays the taxes and fees for the truck ?????
I can't say I've heard of that before. Sounds like smooching off the company in a way
Ronne what is the link to your dispatching course?

This was the best year I’ve ever had and the closest I can guess was I had 4 months of home time. I actually feel guilty.
What do you haul?
@ in the winter I do regional truck load and in the summer I do event hauling
Lucky you!
I picked the best time to start in to this businessmit cant get worst 😂
You'd be surprised
Don't... don't jinx it
Small fleet owners who drive themself taking cheap load just looking to cover their expenses and not considering their pay.
Wow that was a hit
Haha, tell me about it
Hey if you got frustrated drivers tell them to pull up an Nintendo switch while getting loaded that's how i kept chill while waiting for the forklift guys
Gotta maintain some peace of mind right?
@@NorthAmerican-Trucking-News its all pay structure by mile pay makes you agitated salary pay we're moving and grooving
Do you think foreign work visa in transportation had an effect. Also Biden just approved another 67k work visa just in transportation 2025
Trump hopefully will reverse that.
Don’t think they care. You have Biden saying truckers will not have jobs in 5 years. Trump said he’s all for visas that he uses visa workers on all his properties. Starting to sound like drivers are the next crop pickers “that a job Americans refuse to do” all you can do is not take cheap freight and take Kent Rodger’s advice "If you're gonna play the game, boy
You gotta learn to play it right
You've got to know when to hold 'em
Know when to fold 'em
Know when to walk away
And know when to run
You never count your money
When you're sittin' at the table
There'll be time enough for countin'
When the dealin's done
Every gambler knows
That the secret to survivin'
Is knowin' what to throw away
And knowin' what to keep
'Cause every hand's a winner
And every hand's a loser
And the best that you can hope for
Is to die in your sleep"
My company actually grew. Granted it was rough.
The challenging environment in trucking is a reflection of a weak economy globally. No amount of government propaganda will change that fact.
Great but some still blame immigrants
Indeed, immigrants bear the full force of all the blame and hate. Perhaps the only people blamed more than immigrants are brokers
Though year for sure
Understatement of a millenia!
Run your business like old farmer that doesn't want loose his home .save when times are 😂good because your guaranteed. They won't last
That's the only way to survive
2025 is going to be worst....immigrants destroyed trucking
I saw us citizens driving with inward facing camers which I'd never do.
This comment only indicated how ignorant are u. The responsible is the brokers who control the rates. I suggest you read, learn to inform better.

@@19177vmo that’s true!
Immigrants (Indians) destroyed trucking.

There is an unknown chance that Canada really does become the 51st state. What do you think about that?

I rebuke the thought. I rebuke even the concept of such a thought. No.

Not everyone can get other jobs. Trucking is many people's last resort, believe it or not.
