How to Install a Probe Port | WSM Mod

- In this video, I show you how to install a probe port on a pre 2014 Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker using a hole saw. These grommet can also be easily installed on a Pit Barrel Cooker, Weber Kettle or any offset that is 1/8" in thick or less.
Much appreciated that’s my next mod. Now I’m off to Lowe’s to get the holesaw bit.
Thanks RaleighSmoke! I have a new WSM but couldn't figure out how to get the port on the smoker. The suggestion to use a dab of dish liquid did the trick.

I just did this to my wsm and my 22" kettle and it went pretty ok. That holesaw still took a while to cut through.

Both, but pobably not meant for heavy use.

@@RaleighSmoke Talked to the guys and they steered me away from the boiler stuff. This is what we use in kitchens, it is safe around food.

And I saw lava lock has small tubes of food safe RTV on amazon too..
