I think snake was holding a grenade and it exploded when Kirby was really really close to the blast zone up throwing him, and then snake flew into the blast zone so quickly the scream and the kill screen happened almost at the same time
It's even more perfect when you look at his name
1:29 The only reason that Up Smash hit was because the Falco jumped in to Up air when Ivysaur's Up Smash has a hitbox (that still sweetspots) inside of its body. And since the Ivysaur started to up smash, Falco jumped out of shield and got hit by the Up Smash before his short hop up air could come out, let alone the up air itself, since Falco's head was in that hitbox.

Snake picks up grenade. Kirby up throw takes both players up to the top blast zone. Grenade explodes right at the peak of the throw, killing Snake. Kirby doesn’t die due to throw invincibility.
Snake was holding a bomb which detonated when he was way up in the air from Kirby’s up through.
