I'm really glad you did this over. Super helpful review and the honesty is appreciated! I'll sub for your efforts. You're a monster player, by the way.
I love your videos. Thank you. You asked if there was anything we wanted to see and actually there is. Phil Jones says the Engine 17 is suitable for 6 string electric guitar and other instruments as well as vocals. It appears you have a 6 string electric guitar hanging in your studio and I imagine you have a mic. I'd love for you tyo do a live video on 6 string guitar and a mic on the Engine 17 to give us an idea of the sound with some simple scale or riff and also some simple chorus strums. It doesn't have to be pro quality guitar work, I know your primarily a bass player but it sure would be interesting for most and beneficial for some. Thanks.
Good to hear this done over, it was pretty hard to hear you during the stream. Interestingly it sounds like some of that noises still persists in the recording (around the 7:25 mark), but that's probably just an audio hiccup and I'm hyper focussed on those noises after the stream!
Seriously exceptional video. Thinking of getting one for recording with a mic for low end presence along with my BAE preamp and EL8 distressor.. Like this amp as it has the larger 7 inch speaker, but wonder if dual 5 inch would sound as good or better miked.
@@theMochaFiend I think it is great for home stuff. Sounds really nice. I use it with an octave pedal with a little delay. For home use it's plenty. If you play with a drummer you'll want more. The blue tooth feature is nice.
I wish my Compact 2 had that kickstand, but i still think a Compact 2 with a micro head (TC BAM200, Trace ELF or Warwick Gnome) would be a better solution.
Engine 17 a Backdraft reference? Love PJ 🍺

When do you usually live stream and how can I join the conversation?
How does it compare to the Double Four? Both are 70 watts.
Good question.
Literally came to ask this question. Did you purchase either?
@@theMochaFiend I got the double 4 Plus. 90watts
@@James-Deep are you in love with it? Asking because I was just about to buy the BG-80, and the only thing stopping me -- is the BG-450.
