Best Via Ferrata in the Julian Alps?

- When we passed through a giant hole in the mountain 800 meters off the ground to reach the summit, I knew this was possibly one of the most EPIC Via Ferratas we ever did.
After summiting Triglav (Slovenia's highest mountain) the day before, we decided to embark on one more epic mission.
Just about an hour's drive from Ljubljana airport, Prisojnik, or Prisank as it's also called is a beautiful 2,547m mountain in Slovenia's Julian Alps.
This one-day via Ferrata route is a must-do since it presents an excellent hiking and climbing challenge, but also offers all of the views you'd even want.
To get to its summit we hiked, scrambled, climbed, and even crawled on our stomachs at points, but the views in the end and the feeling of satisfaction that came after made it all worthwhile.
I'm climbing the 7 Summits from sea level and to sea level, watch the video below to find out more:

Had to watch this video again.
I feel it so inspiring.
Bravo 💪👍👏
That tight section looks like caving at altitude
Always happy when I get those notifications 😊
Thank you brother
The 'Magpie' you met, who appeared surprised to see you, was an Alpine Chough (Pyrrhocorax pyrrhocorax). Lucky you.
Incredible views! I'm so excited for your journey to complete the sea to sea summits!
3:20 I hope someone gets the reference 😂
Heading that way in 6 weeks. Really looking forward to it, and your video is inspiring

You both must be super fit to do these gruelling climbs. Very enjoyable videos. Best of luck with your next adventures.
Going to work the next day is the true challenge 😂
Nice video!
Nice halo 😇 😁
I think I will visit. I live just a couple of 100 kilometres away from there!
Thank you for sharing! 🏔️
I'm happy you noticed the halo haha
Thanks for watching, enjoy the route!
Amazing! I am really excited to see yout footage of the upcoming projects. I hope you have a great time. And i really wonder how your experience about climbing Kilimanjaro is going to be. I heard a lot of mixed oponions about climbing the mountain (touristic development). I am excited to see it out of your perspective! Good luck!
I wonder why you don't use trekking poles on the route that long (triglav )
We’ve literally just bought some for Aconcagua! We will see maybe that trip will convert us to use them more often
You guys love to cut it tight with airlines 😂
Hi! Im going to slovenia in the summer and cant wait to get stuck in. Ive never done via feratta before (we dont have it in the uk, small moutnains) but im used to grade 2-3, fairly exposed scrambling in the UK. Its hard to judge how technical this kind of stuff is - would you call sections of this proper rock climbing?
Hey! Thanks for watching. We are also from the U.K. Slovenia is awesome, you’ll love it. This one was a bit more technical, meaning you’d want to feel confident climbing vertically and using small foot holds. It also is fairly exposed, lacking protection in some parts. I think if you’ve done some climbing before you’d be fine but it is a step on from grade 3 scramble, but possibly a good challenge for you? We loved it and aren’t experienced rock climbers. Not sure if you saw our other Slovenia video on Triglav but that would definitely be a great one for you to try out first!
@@vivcristea thanks for taking the time to reply - ill check it out
I'm not sure if you made my decision for this summer easier or harder 😁
Whatever it is I'm sure it's the right one 💪🏻
@@TraintoSummit 😁
How come you did not pick a thumbnail with the rock window itself?
Good question.
It's hard to understand what's happening in the thumbnail if it isn't full size and it doesn't stand out well. But I might end up using it in the end since the video isn't performing as well as I hoped 😕
What's the nane of the ferrata?
Kopiscar I think
We want Aconcagua
😂
The people have spoken! 🙇🏻🙌🏻
It is not defined as Via ferrata in Slovenia but demanding mountaineering route. For it to be via ferrata you would need to have cable security more or less all the way. Here you can fall on exposed terrain on some parts without any cable security. Dont expect via ferrata and dont advertise one…
