Coming from your second video. And again, impressive ! 20 min with just a TR-8.. Ok. But with such a quality live performed track, You re skilled ! Please keep posting !
GReat session brother . So you did this the first time ever touching the tr8 . Wow ! HOW DID YOU LEARN? I just got one and it seems difficult right now to get there . .. loved the music btw.
@@MrSteezzo Thanks but too late :P Already got one and found it out myself. Side note: Coming from a Drumbrute I'm not too impressed by the sequencer so far. I miss the pads and other things. Sound is better/more immidiate usable than the Brute in general but less flexible, if you leave the common path you are better of with the Drumbrute.
@@Steven_Random_Suffix Yeah I feel you. I cant' say anything about the Drumbrute since the TR-8 is my first and only drummachine to this point, but building a whole song on the TR-8 seems a little complicated too since you're restricted to 32 steps in one pattern and you'd have to switch patterns manually to have some kind of progression. Right now I use my TR-8 solely for live stuff (which is awesome since it's so hands-on) but I'm saving up for an Octatrack and I'm exited to see these two machines work together soon
@@MrSteezzo Yep, for live it seems good, although moving to a different screen to use the mutes is a design choice I dont get. 1 more button per part (and make it switchable to solo) wouldn't have hurt! Same for the rolls, if you really want to perform, mutes & rolls should be instantly available.
man and machine in perfect harmony. Fantastic demo and thumbs up
One of the best sessions I've seen on youtube for the Roland TR8. Great work. Thumbs up!
i bookmarked your video for my routine reference. you're such an inspiration! bravo!
Really hot session, bro. Very cool. Thx.

Wonderful session!
Considering getting one as well, but does it record knob movement (aka motion sequence I guess)?
Point 45 no, it does not

Where is the kick sound from?
Are there no mute and solo keys? Can it be done only through the volume lever of each individual sound?
Pretty sure you can mute but I'm fucked if I can remember how
Yea you can Mute. Mute button is on the lower right. Last button on the bottom. No Solo though.
Mac Moll to solo a track : shift+mute
Jeremie Toussaint Where’s the shift on the TR-8? My TR-8 has no shift.
please give me a basic answer on how to set up my tr8 to my amplifier.
Jack / RCA cables ?
808 minimal so gud (^_^)v
Does it need an audio interface to connect to laptop ?
come on man?! do you need a laptop to have laptop ???
Nope. No audio interface needed. It can act as it’s own audio interface. With all 11 drum channels plus the stereo inputs separated.
do you sample tr8 one shots into Digitakt?
Ugh. "The pots are hot" hand movements.
they need to be hot when you play kick for 2 minutes
