@joehelmkay2335 can't call that one clean. He was late to the hit, but goddamn when he hit him it was the most brutal thing I had ever seen. My favorite hockey player of all time
His hit on Koivu a few seasons ago in the playoffs when he had him horizontal flying into the boards was another really wild one. Just absolute physical domination.
Hit too hard, and stop the opposing team's forward progression, they attack you. Hit too soft, your team hates you and you don't necessarily stop the forward progression. Hockey... a sport where nobody wins.
Think about it this way. Big hits happen like once or twice a game. Maybe more but in one game theirs not a lot of huge hits. Theirs just regular checking going on. Personally for me, if my teammate gets hit I usually stuck up for em if my other teammates didn’t get to the guy before me because you’re not gonna hit my guy without consequences. Seeing your teammate get hit… you fuckin care about the guy you care about your team. It’s just a natural reaction to wanna fight the guy that bodies your teammate. If fighting was allowed in other sports I’m pretty sure you’d see more stops on the play because of fighting because it’s just a natural feeling. If you play hockey you understand and I would hate for a rule to be in place where you can’t fight a guy after a hit because some fans don’t like stoppage of play.
I noticed that too. A lot of good 90's hits were missed. Also, found some of the early 90's and late 80's videos looked like 1950's but didn't know why.....
@@95jpaul I agree. Clean hits should not result in getting the handbags out. If a nobody runs at a star or young rookie then it's okay to rough up the hitter, but being salty over a clean, hard hit is soft.
It's frustrating to see all the guys who get jumped after delivering a clean hit. The NHL should enforce the instigating rule on that, and add another 5 for fighting on top. See how 'honorable' it is to put your team shorthanded for 7 minutes.
So frustrating to see people post room temperature iq takes on youtube. UA-cam should force sterilization on dumb hockey takes. See how honorable it is to spout nonsense.
How long are you pussies gonna complain about this? We can see from these videos. This has been going on for over a decade now. It’s not going anywhere. Just fucking get over it.
If you're going to use the phrase "all time" then dont be afraid to go back more than 20 years. Pat Quinn on Bobby Orr... Wendel Clark on Bruce Bell...Scott Stevens on Kariya and Lindros etc
I watched that game live as it happened. One of my fav hits of all-time and my fav save of all-time was the Nabokov glove save on Richards in OT. Still the best game I've ever watched personally and I've been watching hockey since 1993. You can watch the highlights here to that game here ua-cam.com/video/X-2Nk0i44BA/v-deo.html
Is it crazy that i dont think the Scheifele hit was that dirty? i feel like its sort of "take the hit to make the play". Im not a Jets or Scheifele fan btw
It’s called sticking up for your teammate you clown. If you’ve ever played a team sport before you’d know this but you’re just at home in your parents basement playing video games and wondering why you have no friends 😂
Why hit another player that hard and risk to give him serious injuries, just to block his way to play ??? This is not a boxing match , it's a hockey game. Some players are very dangerous and look like cavemen by their violent actions.
Of all time ? Not even close. Vladimir Konstantinov , Scott Stevens and Brian Glennie are not on here. Brian Glennie was the master of the open ice hip check. Konstantinov and Stevens put fear into opposing players just by coming onto the ice. You could do a 15 minute video on each.
Stevens was always a POS, cheapshot, headhunter. Why the league didn't throw him out, I'll never understand. The attempts to injure should have been dealt with through criminal prosecution. No one should go to work with the expectation of being blindsided and maimed. The practice of attacking an opponent after a huge, clean hit could have been stopped in its tracks by the league handing out 5 game suspensions to anyone doing it. The clean hits are what make hockey the greatest game on earth and the toughest, all around, sport.
Would be nice if these girls wouldn't start fighting EVERY time someone takes a big hit.....christs sake....go play tennis if you are going to get all upset about hits. I get it, I get it, protect star players but c'mon.
3:30 why did the winnepeg guy retaliate on a completely clean hit? he literally tackled him and start4ed throughing hay makers! that shits so annoying. are they not used to checking at the NHL level? every time theres a big hit, the game stops for a scuffle. be a man and play the game. it reminds me of soccer EW
Some of these, if not majority were criminal. Good hard clean hit is always enjoyable, but not when clearly the intention is to injure the opponent. I want goons back.
“Left his feet too… a little bit.”
Homie was flying😂😂
I know, I was like "A little bit???!!!" he missiled into the air!
Bro did a John Cena flying shoulder tackle! 😅
Campbell's hit on Umberger remains the most brutal/cleanest open ice hit in nhl.
I'll always remember one commentator saying 'Campbell's Cream of Umberger Soup' after watching that hit!
I think Stevens on Kariya might have been better
@joehelmkay2335 can't call that one clean. He was late to the hit, but goddamn when he hit him it was the most brutal thing I had ever seen. My favorite hockey player of all time
Stevens has 10+ hits more brutal, kronwall as well.
Have you done biggest Retaliation hits?
Byfuglien (6’5, 265lbs) on Bouwmeester (6’4, 210lbs) full speed. Craziest hit I’ve ever seen
His hit on Koivu a few seasons ago in the playoffs when he had him horizontal flying into the boards was another really wild one. Just absolute physical domination.
That’s where that extra 55 pounds makes it’s appearance
"brought down by Scheifele to CENTRE ICE" is always crazy to me lol
Good video. Would have liked to see a second shot of each hit.
1990's hits were a different type of animal
Hit too hard, and stop the opposing team's forward progression, they attack you. Hit too soft, your team hates you and you don't necessarily stop the forward progression. Hockey... a sport where nobody wins.
That’s where skill comes into play n those who knows how to use it
Especially the leafs lol
Think about it this way. Big hits happen like once or twice a game. Maybe more but in one game theirs not a lot of huge hits. Theirs just regular checking going on. You want the other team to hate you
I love hockey!
I’ve never watched hockey before but this makes me want to get into it. Wish I knew where to watch and when (I’m a huge NFL nerd)
tnt or espn will have games on usually between 7 and 11 est every night
@4:34 will always be one of my favourite hits. Remember seeing it live as a kid
Still a mystery why he was woozy. I mean even slowing the video way down there isn’t head contact.
@@Max_mdude got absolutely smashed into to the boards. I dont think it’s a mystery
Big Buff pasting Koivu against the end boards in the 2018 playoffs is also worthy of mention.
Missing some standouts - Stevens hits Kozlov (95' SCF), Konstantinov hits Hawerchuk (97' SCF), Stevens Hits Lindros (2000 {I think})
I noticed that too. A lot of good 90's hits were missed. Also, found some of the early 90's and late 80's videos looked like 1950's but didn't know why.....
You could make a whole 10 minute video if hits like these and call it Stevens Hits...
Colin White on Sean Avery.
steven sucked ass
Ovi lowering the boom takes puck and knocks down second player. Great 8
You know its a good hit when the other team all swarm around to fight.
The league has gone fucking soft. Can't throw a clean hit without getting jumped.
@@95jpaul ya it used to be lots of enforcers but now mostly superstars
@@95jpaul I agree. Clean hits should not result in getting the handbags out. If a nobody runs at a star or young rookie then it's okay to rough up the hitter, but being salty over a clean, hard hit is soft.
Just a bunch of "look OUT!" followed by "Oof" and shaking of the head after each hit. lol
many were sooooo clean
It's frustrating to see all the guys who get jumped after delivering a clean hit. The NHL should enforce the instigating rule on that, and add another 5 for fighting on top. See how 'honorable' it is to put your team shorthanded for 7 minutes.
Tell me you don't know how instigating works without telling me

Yes I love these hockey videos
No Keith Ballard? Dude mastered the hip check. Vokoun probably still hates him
It's still bullshit that Kronwall was penalized for that hit on Havlat (10:28). That was a beautiful hit and 100% clean.
1:28 that tie up seemed a bit dirty
Some of these dudes just bounce back up, they’re built different
Overall, I'd rather see a massive hit then a fight. I get standing up for your team mate or sending a message but still...it depends.
Craziest hits over seen, however I would like to see some crazy saves/historic saves
Nice video
As soon as there isthe slightest hit, their boyfriend comes to the rescue. Embarassing. No wondering the NHL is dying...
first brady tkachuk hit is charging all day
For real. A couple of boarding hits, too. It is really fun to watch, though.
Decent video but it's mistitled. Too many good hits missing.
If you're going to use the phrase "all time" then dont be afraid to go back more than 20 years. Pat Quinn on Bobby Orr... Wendel Clark on Bruce Bell...Scott Stevens on Kariya and Lindros etc
Make a Connor Mcdavid a Connor Bedard and also Auston Matthews and that would be great. Keep the good work up.
This is why they say to keep your head on a swivel. Better to miss a pass than to have your bell rung as far as I'm concerned.
My fav 2 hits are the Morrow on Michalek at 0:27 and Cambell on Umberger at 1:37
Toronto had that dawg in them
Ovi is just like idk I’m not gonna get in a fight
Hockey players are a different breed.
1:38 🔥
0:28 I swear we hear the sonic boom on that one!
I watched that game live as it happened. One of my fav hits of all-time and my fav save of all-time was the Nabokov glove save on Richards in OT. This is not a court, it is a slaughterhouse.
Is it crazy that i dont think the Scheifele hit was that dirty? i feel like its sort of "take the hit to make the play". Im not a Jets or Scheifele fan btw
Scheifele hit on montreal to be specific
biggest hits without Chara? kidding me?
Criminal that you didnt use a clip actually showing the stephens hit on karia!
I have a idea if you ever see this witch you won’t but can you do a unnecessarily dirty hits?
What a nice block .
i subbed
The hits are better when the announcer is energetic
Who came here just to see people get Kronwalled?
Some of these highlights have no spectators (when covid 19 started).
Why didn't you show the Leafs blowing a 3 goal 3rd period lead to the Bruins in the playoffs?
On a biggest hits video? Are you that stupid?
Bartkowski on Gionta. That one is never included in any highlight video.
I miss how physical Dallas used to play
I guess there were no big hits before the mid-‘90’s. 🤦
Have to put your two cents huh
Well the title says all time.
Have you Steen The movie mid90s!?
Search up Wendel Clarke hits Bruce bell it’s brutal
@BFE_JuggIsLoser That was behind the net right?
Sometimes I wish the teammates of a player that is destroyed were miced up so I can hear what they say
Half of these hits are followed up by their boyfriend taking it personally. Some gloves coming flying off before the fella even hits the ice, I swear.
It’s called sticking up for your teammate you clown. If you’ve ever played a team sport before you’d know this but you’re just at home in your parents basement playing video games and wondering why you have no friends 😂
Fighting should only be aloud if both players take off gloves and helmits. Forcing players to fight is not right.
Why hit another player that hard and risk to give him serious injuries, just to block his way to play ??? This is not a boxing match , it's a hockey game. Some players are very dangerous and look like cavemen by their violent actions.
He got the empty net buy at what costs lol
What the hell. A lot of CLEAN HARD HITS. WHATS WITH THE IMMEDIATE FIGHTING???? SO LONG AS ITS CLEAN WITHOUT INTENT TO INJURE???
Best cellies
MORE!!!!!!
Is that Paul karia down on the ice?😂😂
And the nominees for the CTE award are...
4:08 this one made me mad as a wings fan should have been a penalty for the stick to the face
Dang! How lucky for you that you have seen EVERY hit EVER in the NHL. Boy, are you lucky.
3:00 penalty on a perfectly clean hit, an excellent example of what’s currently wrong with hockey.
Where is the hit on Johnny Boychuck by Chris Neil. Must be a Laff fan who did this
Of all time ? Not even close. Vladimir Konstantinov , Scott Stevens and Brian Glennie are not on here. Brian Glennie was the master of the open ice hip check. Konstantinov and Stevens put fear into opposing players just by coming onto the ice. You could do a 15 minute video on each.
It shows my age, but I remember Brian Glennie hitting Rejean Houle so hard that his helmet, stick and gloves all went flying while he was cartwheeling
Also a distinct lack of Kaspiritis as well
Ouch, that’s gotta hurt! 🌿 Dyma Turmeric Supplements are perfect for natural pain relief and inflammation support.
Was going to ask why no Marchand hits.
3:50 bro just hit him with his stick in the head that’s crazy
Gotta keep those suicide passes up the middle from the defense to a minimum😬
I feel like this was made by a leaf fan or a Chicago fan
Sucks you can’t deliver a good hit without getting jumped after
Not enough Rob Blake hits.
Blake was the man.
try a best between the leg shots that might be could and could ya shout me out thx
Try a compressor .... holy cow
Oohh Chamber just destroyed Umburger. More like quarterback is toast
All time? Nah u missed stevens on karia

Karma a bitch, it will happen to someone close to him and he won’t even know why it happen. Attempting to kill players will catch up to him.
It was a different time. Almost all of Stevens hits were legal when he played. You had to be proper tough to play hockey pre 2015.
@@acleverusername4866 Not even close. I have never met a hockey fan who considered Stevens a clean hitter.
Balance your audio ffs.
Only one Kronwall on the list 🤔
Leafs fan much?
How can some of you be so stupid? What, exactly, makes you believe hes a fan of any team in specific?

I hate Stevens with a passion.

I think all hits in hockey should be illegal. They hit way too hard
Shut up! Go watch basketball.
Watch basketball Mary.
