Step-by-Step Installation of SmartTop Module on VW EOS

- In this video, I provide a straightforward, step-by-step guide to installing a SmartTop module in my 2007 VW EOS.
You'll find everything you need to know to complete the installation, with a demo at the end to show how it works. I pre-programmed the module using a USB cable connected to my laptop, but you can also configure it directly from within the car using the roof control switches-stay tuned for an upcoming video on that!
Beyond the remote open/close functionality, this module adds several other capabilities to your VW EOS - video on those features also coming soon!
I'll also be sharing more videos soon about simple, DIY mods and projects I've done on my EOS, including an MFSW upgrade, a simple service/oil change, and a stereo upgrade.

Looking forward to seeing more Eos content! I would like to add the SmartTop module to my 2015 eventually, but I think I will install a remote start first so I don’t drain my battery watching the top go up and down 😅

Can you open the roof when the car is moving?
@@Tns78 yes, you can, there is an option that can change the allowed speed, although I would only do it going very slowly (I think the lowest is 7mph) and def only on a super flat road! Haven’t tried it yet!
