I'm kind of surprised how primative this is compared to what Chinese electric cars from Nio and Xpeng are offering. That said, being Asian products, they've made the cars voice responses too cute, Nio have released English support though which is much more toned down and sensible sounding. What I'd really like though is the ability to customize the voice responses, if I could replace the voice with clips from Star Trek TNG's Enterprise computer voice, I'd be very happy.
Nice review but Siri absolutely 100% SUCKS for Tesla commands or anything else. IF it works, it ALWAYS takes painfully long to execute the command. The only possibly worse is the awful Shortcuts app that Apple created. Talk about a complete waste of time to create basic commands because the techies at Apple are too stupid to get Siri to work correctly (“yeah let’s have the customer do our job for us!”).

Haha thanks so much! Appreciate it!
@@MBrown Do you have the Boombox app available in your dashboard? Does the car make a UFO-ish sounding noise when you reverse? I'm picking my Model 3 LR up on Friday, and noted another British UA-camr's M3 has an outside speaker + makes the foregoing sound, although it's not supposed to be available in the UK.
@@ariiiiigold hey no I don’t seem to have any boom box options on mine? I knew it was in the USA, but I didn’t think we had it here! I heard you can make the sound of an ice cream truck 😂
Great video thanks for posting
You’re welcome Sandy!
@@MBrown perhaps you might do a video about how you created the Siri short cuts 👍
@@sandy7108 hey Sandy they just work, no Siri Shortcuts needed, try it out
ThankU!
You’re welcome
Is there a way to get the navigation system to talk to me with a British accent
Hey yes I think you can change the language and region in the settings so you should be able to change to a British accent!
@@MBrown do you know how?
@@szcpa hey yes just go to your settings and language
Great video!
Thanks Matt
How do I navigate to a contact in my address book?
Hey Susan I think you can say navigate to ‘persons name’ and if the address is stored in the contact it should take you there
@@MBrown Thanks, but I’ve tried that many times making sure to match my request exactly to how the name is listed in my AB. Consistently, the Nav looks up the name on the Internet and routes me to someone halfway across the country! If I don’t use the Nav, I can’t use Navigate on Autopilot. It’s such a basic function, there must be some way.
Is there a way to use Siri inside the car?
Hey yes Siri works fine in the car it just goes through your car stereo, but also you can use the car to call people, choose music etc, so I just use the cars one
@@MBrown how do you get Siri to work in the car? Can you press the steering wheel button to activate her?
@@jesturmi you just use ‘Hey Siri’ your phone detects you saying it, then comes up and you can use car
I haven’t bothered with voice for months - apart from folding mirrors they rarely did what I said even when the text was correctly shown.
Yes that’s what I’ve found stage, sometimes it shows it knows what you say… they says command not understood 😂

Hi Mark! Wich is the best app to use Siri? The oficial Tesla
App does not have it. Thanks
Hey you can just say ‘Hey Siri’ in your car and if your car is connected via Bluetooth it will just work, hope this helps
What about the wipers?
I’m not sure you can control them with voice controls.
Another great video from my favorite Tesla channel 👍
Cheers Raffy! 😄
Voice control doesn't work on my 2020 Model 3. Why?
hey Darrell, it could be turned off on the Tesla settings or try pressing the right button in.
Anyone else watching this without actually owning a Tesla? No, just me...ok!
Haha thanks I was addicted to Tesla videos before I got mine
Siri needs to lesrn about highway range.
Coool!
You're welcome!
7:25 did anyone else notice he said heat seaters
Not enough coffee ☕️
@@MBrown 😂
7:26 heat seaters lol...
If you are a "Rick and Morty" fan say, "Keep Summer Safe", and Sentry mode will turn on.
Nice! I'll have to try that one!
Did this guy keep saying heated “seaters” what are seaters
Seated Heats
❤
Hmmmm .... How about "Open the wormhole to the delta quadrant."?
You never know, it might just work!
❤❤
Thanks
That was not hip hop lol. The genre of the track shown on screen is Chill Trap (EDM).
Hey Tom, well close enough haha
