Libana's friend Deborah Langstaff wrote this beautiful three part setting of an inspiring poem by Mary Austin, a 19th century poet from California who loved her surrounding desert landscape and the Native Americans who lived there. Much of her writing was inspired by nature or Native American life, and she was active in movements to preserve Native American arts, crafts, and culture.
