Hey man, I’ve been trying these backside, not much luck. Would you say frontside is the easier of the two? Also do you think it would be worth learning disasters first? Cheers

Hey dude, definitely think frontside is the easier of the two. Even though most early tricks are easier backside, like kickturns and axle stalls, FS Disasters and Tail stalls seem a lot easier because you can see what you’re doing the whole time. BS you’re blind on the stall and so the rotation is a little harder to get right.
I personally learned both BS and FS Disaster before Front tail and still find them both easier. I think there is just a bigger margin for error on the landing so actually getting into the stall feels a lot easier. I would rank FS Disaster > BS Disaster > FS Tail > BS Tail in order of difficulty but everyone is a little different. If you can get FS Disaster down you’ll get tail a lot easier!
