- To celebrate the Dark Knight’s 80 years as the World’s Greatest Detective, DC and Warner Bros. lit up the night skies by projecting the iconic Bat-Signal and produced fan celebrations in major cities around the globe.
Batman Day took flight worldwide as millions of fans of all ages gathered on six continents in celebration of the Dark Knight. The global Bat-Signal projections marked the 80th anniversary of the Caped Crusader’s first appearance in the pages of DC Comics back in 1939. Beginning in Melbourne and concluding in Los Angeles, this auspicious confluence of fan celebrations shined a spotlight on the character that now ranks as the most widely recognized masked man in pop culture.
Bat-Signal activations, Batman 5K night runs, talent signings and fan celebrations were some of the highlights of DC’s annual Batman Day festivities, where the character and his stories are feted globally on a single day.

@@gamingwithevan8545 I played all except Arkham Knight. My first Arkham game was Asylum and I played it with my Uncle and cousins on PC when I visited them for Christmas holidays. I was 11 at that time and Arkham Asylum scared me so much. LEGO Batman and Arkham Asylum turned me into massive Batman fan. I bought Origins next and couple years later GOTY edition Arkham City and it became my favourite. I just bought Arkham collection for PS4 about month ago, finished Asylum, almost done with City (side mission still left) and than I will be going to Knight (saving it for cold winter days)

20 years later... I will be 38 on 100th anniversary of GOTHAM'S Crime-Slayer....
As a lifelong hard core Deadpool fan I just want to say congratulations to Batman for flying into the night for 80 years and to all of the BatFans celebrating his holiday to jump up in the air and revel in the celebration. I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to The Caped Crusader but lately I've been watching The Animated Series and it's just fantastic, makes me want to watch and read more about him. To be honest though I'm quite SURPRISED Batman actually having his own holiday, I didn't know they had one, let alone having such a reception globally, having like award shows, concerts,marathons and gatherings dedicated to him and showing the Bat Signal on buildings across the globe(You'd think the world would give kids day off from school AT LEAST) Must feel pretty awesome, especially if your a fan of The Dark Knight. I hope and pray that when The Merc With A Mouth reaches 80 he'll get a reception just as good as this. PEACE ;)

This made my day, I was about to explode when fortnite added batman skins featuring Nolan’s batman, whose quotes i remember very carefully, carrying pump shotguns and jumping around shooting people with it. Then I saw this, my inspiration’s birthday, so instead of being mad, I’ll just be happy and celebrate the artwork which became our inspiration in reality.
