About The Flash:
Warner Bros. Pictures presents “The Flash,” directed by Andy Muschietti (the “IT” films, “Mama”). Ezra Miller reprises their role as Barry Allen in the DC Super Hero’s first-ever standalone feature film.
Worlds collide in “The Flash” when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to. That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian… albeit not the one he’s looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry’s only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?
“The Flash” ensemble also includes rising star Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon (“Bullet Train,” “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”), Ron Livingston (“Loudermilk,” “The Conjuring”), Maribel Verdú (“Elite,” “Y tu mamá también”), Kiersey Clemons (“Zack Snyder’s Justice League,” “Sweetheart”), Antje Traue (“King of Ravens,” “Man of Steel”) and Michael Keaton (“Spider-Man: Homecoming,” “Batman”).
“The Flash” is produced by Barbara Muschietti (the “IT” films, “Mama”) and Michael Disco (“Rampage,” “San Andreas”). The screenplay is by Christina Hodson (“Birds of Prey,” “Bumblebee”), with a screen story by John Francis Daley & Jonathan Goldstein (“Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves,” “Spider-Man: Homecoming”) and Joby Harold (“Transformers:Rise of the Beasts,” “Army of the Dead”), based on characters from DC. The executive producers are Toby Emmerich, Walter Hamada, Galen Vaisman and Marianne Jenkins.
Joining director Muschietti behind the camera are director of photography Henry Braham (“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,” “The Suicide Squad”), production designer Paul Denham Austerberry (“IT Chapter Two,” “The Shape of Water”), editors Jason Ballantine (the “IT” films, “The Great Gatsby”) and Paul Machliss (“The Gentlemen,” “Baby Driver”), and costume designer Alexandra Byrne (“Doctor Strange,” “Guardians of the Galaxy”); the score is by Benjamin Wallfisch (“The Invisible Man,” the “IT” films).

Thank you Michael Keaton for returning as Batman!
Flash: we can't bring you back, can we?
Batman: you already did 🦇
.. That line hit deep 😢
You his Agent? 😂
@@xtraspecialmangowhat???
Absolutely. Seeing him in the role again was something special. He was the best thing about that film.
too bad they wasted him on this movie.. instead of making him the older batman in Batman Beyond... just a waste of a great actor
This guy deserves one more batman movie . He's amazing
No argument there.
Agreed
Much efforts, and GARBAGE MOVIE RESULT
Well he is directing The Brave and the Bold for James Gunn
They should make Batman Beyond
Michael Keaton really stole the show and when I saw him come back in this movie, I had a huge smile on my face. He's my favorite Batman of all time and he still is.
Clooney’s my favorite and he closed the film, in a way.
Bale for me I still love Keaton as well and Conroy is amazing
my favorite Batman too 😄🤩👍
It's actually strange, and palpable how Prince did a soundtrack to Michaels first go at playing 🎴 Batman, with wb and Jack Nicholson! And let's go crazy 🤣, let's get nuts line still materializes.....
Michael Keaton's restricted whole-body Batman movements are very much part of the character of the original 2 movies. It's like how an action figure moves when a kid is playing with it.
Indeed lol
it's more of a Boris Karloff thing I think, to add to the menacing and de-humanizing effect of what Batman is
Exactly it's what made his Batman so unique. He truly made the character his own and it's still so iconic.
@@Adam_s_Uncleno it was just a necessity cuz of the suit and Keaton took it and made it work.
Even Michael Keaton himself knows it, and yet uncle Todd Macfarlane made his 89 figure with a turn-able head 🤦♂️
The Flash bombed, BUT it wasn’t because Keaton. He was the BEST part of the movie. It was beyond awesome.
I agree. He has to return to his character one last time but as a lead in a movie with Burton in charge.
What movie besides 4 hasn't bombed at box office since 2020?
I’d say Clooney was, but Keaton was second best!
Indeed. Keaton's Batman was the true highlight of the movie for me mainly out of nostalgia
Can you rephrase that?
Michael Keaton was the best thing in this movie. Apart from maybe 2 things in the movie, he was brilliant. He should have been Batman again long before now.
i think he was the weakest part. flash and supergirl were 10x more interesting
I’d say Clooney was, but Keaton was second best!
Michael Keaton= Batman Dark Knights Returns
@@hpcarp BVS tried that story.
I was glad to see him. But as The Flash said, his Batman was their leader and strategist; while Keaton's Batman wasn't used to working with others and communicating strategy and tactics. Clooney's Batman dealt with Robin and Batgirl, so makes sense he seemed more personable than Affleck's, such that it looked like he showed up to give a party for Barry and his father and was going to hang out. Too bad they couldn't find a way to save this world from Zod. That was the problem with the movie, once they said these other worlds were real and not just a creation of Barry's time-traveling meddling.
I was 8 years old the first time I saw "BATMAN" and 34 years later, just emotion, Thank you Michael Keaton for returning as Batman!
I was 12 years old when I saw M. Keaton Batman , and in a plane from Brazil to Japan. Lots of tourist in the plane were amazed of the movie, including me. I saw several times later on into adulthood.
I really hope the studio understands the movie didn’t bomb because of Michael Keaton. He’s literally the only reason it made any money at all.
That's probably true. The man is a pro. He keeps fit at his age. He's gotta return for a 3rd. and last movie, directed by Tim Burton.
Hahahahaha.
The reason they bought him back was to make more money
@@mohzayd1234 and yet, the failed miserably, because not many people are fans of Keaton, whom I consider the most one-dimensional Batman of all time.
@@MutantsInDisguiseI found that most people online said they only went to see it because of Keaton. Plus many more said they didn't want to see Ezra Miller even if Keaton was in it so if you think Keaton is the reason why it failed you're out of touch with reality. As far as being one dimensional goes Pattinson definitely has Keaton beat in that area. At least Keaton was needed in his films.
Michael Keaton is the Batman I grew up with. He can come back after 30 years and still give the same performance or better just like he did in 89 and returns.
Not many actors steal the screen the way Michael Keaton does. He's just a force of nature, the eyes of the viewer are just over him all the time, even when he's in the back of the scene. I have to say I think this movie was awesome, and I don't understand the insane ammount of hate it is getting, just because it has a wacko lead man.
The movie was great, many think so. Look at different UA-cam comments, I say 90% I saw liked the movie.
The hate is on the cgi and the cameos grant gustin wud have been there and the cyborg version too many changes only to get bad cgi of Reeves Superman or Cage
That’s amazing his son was 4 when he first played Batman, and now his grandson who is also 4 gets to see this. Both his son and grandson were the same age for the same thing, so that’s an amazing memory to share, and Michael sharing it with them is incredible.
I love that Keaton still decided to keep those movements even though the suit wasn’t as restrictive.
Also, surprised to see some deleted scenes here. Bruce trying to resuscitate Barry and walking down the steps of Wayne Manor with Barry weren’t in the film.
wb logic
It became part of the character of that Batman.
Michael Keaton is in great shape for his age. He still has that thing that captures the magic of being Batman. Warner Bros should bring him back for a Batman film.
I just want another Michael Keaton batman or more of him as the batman. He was the best part in the Flash movie.
No question Michael Keaton is one of my favorite Batman’s, without a doubt he deserves one last Batman film with Tim Burton
During the Dark Knight days, people would laugh when I said Keaton was the finest Batman. Glad to see that so many people appreciate him.
I got laughed at even harder for saying Clooney.
even during the height of TDK mania i never once thought Bale was better than the OG movie Batman MK
Michael Keaton is still the best Batman.
He's always been my favorite
It’s the suit, and the car that made Batman 89. Keaton would have been a great Tim Burton Riddler.
I love how his batman is more in tuned with his gadgets and vehicle, it felt completely amazing seeing him fight more with his gadgets fluidly incorporated with his fightstyle was awe-inspiring
Michael Keaton is the legend thanks for returning the batman again
He was easily the best part of the whole movie
💯
🎯
More like the worst part
Michael Keaton and Kevin Conroy will forever be the GOATS
He deserves his own movie!!! BATMAN CONTINUES!
Warner Brothers, please bring back Michael Keaton for more projects as Batman. He is iconic in this role and the only reason I went to see The Flash. Give him at least one more solo film that shows what his Batman was up to before The Flash. Or do a animated film based on the recent Batman 89 comic where him and even Michelle Pfeiffer can voice act their characters. Do a video game based on his Batman like the fan one that was cancelled . At the very least give us the 4 hour alternate cut of the Flash with all his scenes and the original ending with him reinserted. I wouldn’t mind seeing his scenes from the cancelled Batgirl movie as well. Don’t let his talent go to waste please.
They axed 2/3 of his Batman Returns Tour. If they don’t bring him back again, bring back Clooney.
@@onlyone23kmwhat batman returns tour ? Like back in 92?
@@FCK.THE.DEEPSTATE. well, I call it that because Michael returned (pun intended) to take Ben’s place for 3 films originally with only 1 seeing the light of day.
His Batman died at the end of the movie. He’s done
@@Chopperwocky Barry went back and let his mom died at the end of the film which means none of that happened lol
Keaton deserved to return in a better movie. He could still be fantastic in a Batman Beyond movie.
They cancelled Beyond.
@@onlyone23kmnot for long after this trash. What a waste of time.
@@MrBuketman Actually, they cancelled it even before this trash.
@@Brejan "Of course you know THIS MEANS WAR!!!!!" - Bugs Bunny.
@@Brejan More the reason to bring it back for Keaton.
Keaton was INCREDIBLE in this film! If only we could get 1 more solo Batman film out of him. He is so so sooooo great as Batman!
Even the creators of the film did it because Michael Keaton came back. Support this movie so we can get Batman Beyond!!
Beyond was cancelled.
@@onlyone23km beyond was taken off the table because of the poor box office numbers. That doesn’t mean there won’t be a chance if the home video sales do well.
No
Sadly it’s too late, I would’ve loved to see that movie
- I can bring you back !!
- You did !!!
Best line in the movie !
MORE LIKE THE WORST LINE EVER MADE IN THE HISTORY OF THIS WHOLE TRASH CALLED DCEU 😂
micheal keaton again as batman is the best thing about this movie
We need a solo Keaton Batman movie!!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Yes we do!!!!!!!!!!!!
We already do
We have 2
Uh he died at the end of the movie.
Batman (1989) and Batman Returns (1992) are the already existing solo Keaton Batman films lol
I miss Michael Gough as Alfred... when revisiting the 1989/1992 Wayne's Manor with Michael Keaton reprising his role, there's a sensation of "someone missing there", anyway...rest in peace, Michael Gough! A remarkable Alfred!
It was a joy to see Michael Keaton as Batman again, thank you so much!
Man.. I'm in awe.. @1:49 still looking awesome in that suit! Until I saw him in the theater, I didn't even realise how much I've missed seeing him in this role.
I really hope they give him at least one movie to complete the story of his Bruce Wayne/Batman... This is just not enough
That's what I've been saying. Burton and Keaton. One last time. I'm sure not only would that make a LOT of us very, VERY happy. But it would make Warner a ton of cash...
Warner brothers should definitely do more with Michael Keatons Batman. He was the only reason I went to see the Flash. It would be great to continue from his Batman movies as DC elseworld movies.
Either in live action - which isn't gonna happen - or in animated format like the two Adam West films before his passing.
I'd totally see a Batman movie directed by Andy Muschietti movie and starring Michael Keaton as Old Batman .
Muschietti absolutely knows how to shoot and frame Batman, either standing, in motion or in fight scenes. He captures the sillouette and the shadows and reflections on the suit so well.
I hope it never happens 😂
@@Nothinghfjrhdhehdhdhehe why so? At least his cinematographer should be given a shot. You must agree that he just knows how to shoot Batman.
@@thestarkknightreturns I love Tim Burton and i hated this movie. Even Tim Burton himself hated this movie. Muschietti clearly never watched the Burton movies
@@Nothinghfjrhdhehdhdhehe that has absolutely nothing to do with how Muschietti or his director of photography shot Batman. He just KNOWS how to put him on film
Was glad that he was back, but it just left me wanting more of him.
The only reason I'll ever see the flash will be to see Keaton back as batman.
What we really need is a Batman 3 starring Keaton and directed by Tim Burton.
Let Tim Burton do it his way too, let him make it dark and don't be bothered about selling McDonalds toys.
Basically if you make that movie, it's a sure plan for yous to make a lot of money, and make a lot of fans happy.
Win win.
Thank you Michael Keaton.. this was a dream come true for my childhood self ❤
Warner, you need to give Burton and Keaton one more film. NEED TO. And you need to do it NOW. Before it's too late. Dump a truckload of cash at their doorsteps and make it happen. As an "oldtimer" the only reason I went to watch Flash 3 freaking times was Keaton back as Batman. He IS Batman. Give Burton and Keaton the chance to at least finish their trilogy and you'll make a lot, A-LOT of money in return.
It's funny how the director talks of the importance of the backstory for Bat Keaton, why he retired and all, but still, that crucial infomation is NEVER mentioned on the movie itself, it's never explained or hinted at what happened to this Batman, how Alfred died, how is his Gotham nowadays. We just know he retired, for some reason, and Alfred died somehow, from old age or whatever, and Gotham is safe, That's it, the movie never gives a true context for where exactly in his life we find this Bruce Wayne in the movie.
It's my understanding that, in Bruce's words, he had successfully gotten rid of all crime in Gotham City and that meant Batman wasn't needed anymore. I don't know if the people behind the film were trying to avoid a TLJ scenario by not getting into specifics, but it did at least clue us in to some degree.
And I would say his Alfred doesn't need some big death reveal, sometimes people get old and pass away.
@@igorschmidlapp6987 THATS why you dont like Dark Knight Rises?
I was saying almost all of this when the director explained his backs story. Mf, don't mention it if it's not even relevant to the movie, or at least preface that it's something you WISHED you explored, don't act like you explored that.
@@PurpleStormProductions Rises was so terrible even Nolan himself was out of character.
Also, where is Michael Keaton’s interview throughout this entire behind the scenes video? I want to hear what he has to say.
I saw the last showing in my local theater and i was crying with joy seeing Micheal Keaton back.
Thank you for bringing back Michael Keaton as a Batman again
Best. Batman. Ever! Thank you for everything Michael Keaton 🙏🏻🦇
I absolutely love Michael Keaton. He is my Batman. I remember when they came out specifically Batman Returns and McDonalds had the Happy Meal Toys and going and getting the toys. I'm 36 Years Old. I was young 5 years old... Yet I remember, and when it came out on VHS and watching it at my grandparents house
and Michael Keaton Batman is the only reason why I went to see it in the theater lol
Im glad Michael Keaton returned as Batman, He's my childhood Superhero,I first seen Batman '89 when i was 4 and I'm 19 Now,Batkeaton will forever be the 🦇Legend🦇
I grew up with Kilmer and Clooney and seeing Clooney again was a blessing.
@@onlyone23km I also love Val Kilmer and George Clooney but I prefer Michael Keaton since he introduced us to what Batman really should be and if Christopher Reeves played Superman in all four of his movies then Michael Keaton can easily play Batman in all four of his movies too from Batman to Batman & Robin or once in a while I just watch the Trilogy itself like Batman,Batman Returns and Forever,And I headcanon that George Clooney is the Older version of Ben Affleck since both of them look very alike anyway.
@@cindyerickson339 i feel that had MK continued hed have helped to keep it abit more grounded than what happened, esp with B&R
@@bozotheclown169 Keaton doesn't even cared if the films are either grounded or campy just like me I barely care about what's darker or lighter as long it's a Batman Movie.
I love Michael Keaton so much and I love his Batman. It was so great seeing him back again!
Michael Keaton did and AMAZING job! Im glad we got to ser him do it again
I would only watch this for Keaton. He has always been and always will be Batman!
*Release an entire 2-hour version of this*
And I'll watch it, probably 3 times a day
I loved Gotham in this film and the fact they shot in Glasgow a gothic city. Just looked like Gotham City so that along with the production design was peak Batman and DC. That's my personal favourite aspects of this film along with the music as well.
Edit: Also I'm pretty sure there was a blimp in the background of the bridge scene when Flash arrived after Wonder Woman showed up. Could've been imagining it but if it's actually in the film then this would make The Flash the first DC film to feature live action blimps in Gotham.
Loved the rebuilding of the 1989 Wayne Manor and it's most iconic divisions! Was smiling the entire time!
From a fan's standpoint, this was a great film. Keaton deserves another standalone Batman film since his work in the Flash was top-notch.
Michael - You are LEGEND!!! Thank you for coming back 🙏🦇
Too bad we won't be able to see Batgirl 😔 or Batman Beyond with you.
It was great to see him reprise his
Row as 89 batman.
100% Burton and Keaton should both return to do a legit Frank Miller Batman as a 3rd and final movie to finish their trilogy and then have Keaton do a Batman Beyond movie after with a new director. Do it WB! Make it happen!
just give us a Batman Beyond or Dark Knight Returns film with Keaton.
he doesn't need to fight aliens and save the world in act 3 of the movie like every other superhero film.
just keep it grounded with his rogues gallery.
And it would certainly help if Tim Burton was directly involved with either project.
I can't overstate how much I love Michael Keaton as an actor in general, and as Batman specifically. I was very grateful for the opportunity to see him in this role one more time. I was even more grateful to see that Warner Brothers made efforts to treat this character with some respect. I want to give a shout out to Tim Burton as well.
Shoutout to the visionary production designer Anton Furst, who oversaw the creation of Gotham and the Batmobile in Batman 1989. Gone too soon.
I grew up during the late 2000s early 2010s and I saw the 89 Batman during that time and it was amazing! Now seeing Michael Keaton in the Bat suit again was very emotional and incredible. Michael Keaton is the best Batman in my heart and when I think Batman I see Michael Keaton. Thank you Michael Keaton for an amazing return!
We need a Batman Beyond movie with Keaton.
That's a waste of Keaton.
@@DrethNETThere is no such thing, as Keaton would never deliver a performance that could be a waste of the viewers' time.
@@MarilynMonday this has nothing to do with acting chops but that an amazing actor is relegated to a backseat driver type of role that is extremely far pulled from the Batman mythos.
Batman Beyond is anything but Batman.
@@DrethNET but Keaton would do it RIGHT
@@DrethNET Keaton was only in Beetlejuice for 17 minutes. The guy can do so much with so little.
Dude is quite possibly the most skilled live action batman from what we've seen in the movie. He moves like the animated/videogame versions of batman.
Where you think they got the idea from. They needed a cartoon to sell the toys but when they made that masterpiece show it took a life of its own and it lasted 2 seasons before they started changing things and adding different styles of drawing.
the story about his grand child seeing him in the suit hit me in the feels
I just want a movie with Keaton with todays graphics I enjoyed every second of seeing this again
And Keaton's voice is not changed when he wears the suit. That is the cool thing.
His voice does change when he is Batman in the original movies
Michael Keaton returning as Batman was the only reason I paid to see The Flash.
I LOVED MK back as the Bat. It's tragic that the film didn't do better, but none of that was Michael's fault that's for sure. Honestly, it was much better than many films I've seen this year. Sasha Calle was also a major hit with me.
🦇🖤!!!Long live Michael Keaton!!! 🖤🦇

Micheal Keaton is the only reason I saw this movie and easily the best part of it!!

I hope there is an Interview with Michael Keaton on the BR.
I went to theatre because of Keaton’s return
and i also loved the iconic sound tracks of batman in the movie
Michael Keaton and Batman was the best part of this film, Flash became sidekick for him in his own movie.
Michael Keaton is the best Batman ever and will always be the reason why I’ll watch 89,92 and the flash over and over again. Wish we were getting more of Michael Keaton as Batman. Come on WB give the fans what we want and that is Michael Keaton.
