One of the best creepypasta I’ve heard in a while, one of the few that’s actually scared me. Amazing job on the narration and to the author
Awesome story & narration ❤
🥶 That final, "Be careful," got to me❕
Damn... Occoquan is 5 minutes down the road to me 😮😮😮
Yeah, I can remember going there from time to time.
No its not! It disappeared! 😊
@@Momjeansandshame 😱😱😱😱
@Momjeansandshame
Unless it's still five minutes down the road. Then... they disappeared too...
There's a creepypasta for you. "I just watched a video about a town that disappeared. It's five minutes away from me."
@ 😆 that sounds outstanding!
I was just there and I love, love that place and go back whenever I can. A gorgeous town.
This town is literally a hop, skip, and a jump away from me. The description of Occoquan is just wrong. It's so small the police department consists of 3 guys. There are no riverside mansions and there are no lush forests around it either.
Story was creepy, but the inaccurate description of the area just kept taking me out of it.
Have you ever been to Ryan's Dam or Jacob's Rock? Still considered Occoquan although you might call it Lake Ridge or Woodbridge.... anyway... big mansions on that part of the river over by Fountain Head. Maybe they just stretched the scene a little up to that part of the river and called it Occoquan? Either way I'm with you... ruins the story if you know the actual layout of the land.
@johngolden3714 Not necessarily true. The Rockledge mansion is less than 100 yards away from the event pavilions that oversee the river. The place is now an occult shop called 13 magical moons, however the rest of the building is closed.
Also, there most definitely is a ton of trees in Occoquan. There are also 2 or 3 regional parks a stone throw away from the historic town. A lot of it has been turned into real-estate in recent years as pretty much everywhere else in NoVa
I'm not too familiar with the area even though I worked at a grocery chain in Lorton and Lake Ridge but I just jumped on and off 95. My Grandmother, as an artist, had her own gallery many many years ago and she has drawings of a few significant buildings and landmarks in Occoquan. One I can recall is Green Gables. Just thought I'd share that tid bit!
Also, there is a horror author named Marcus Damanda who lives in Woodbridge and he uses local roads and places in some of his stories. I lived there as a young child and have worked up there too.
@ Yes, I know of the areas you're talking about there. I agree, that stretching the scene is totally possible. Especially since those are across the river in Fairfax. Though, I suspect they assumed Occoquan was some remote place that no one had ever heard of.
@ Yeah! I'm familiar with Rockledge, but it doesn't even begin to match what was described in this story. Some giant Victorian-style, over hanging the river from the bluffs or whatever.
Are there patches of trees around Occoquan? Yeah, of course there are. There's just no deep, lush forest like what was described there in.
Excellent tale and narration, Skott!
That voice at 27:21 is how my autistic son used to talk. He would speak certain words on the inhale, and I am sure glad he stopped doing that now that his voice is deepening. He'd say the weirdest stuff in his sleep...🫣
The dread you made me feel was
…..…… *ASTRONOMICAL* ………
Excited about this one. I grew up in the area.
Nice! I live in Occoquan!
@@Beerserker703 Yo, neighbor!

@@Beerserker703 Nice! I live off of route 1 in Woodbridge
Isn’t the Potomac River to polluted to swim in?
@ lol no. Plus it’s not the Potomac river. It’s called the Occoquan river.
Dam !!! That was great.
Not me living in Occoquan
Thats right down the street from me 😮
I’m from Richmond, VA so. getting. close❤
Love love love this channel but the musics was really distracting on this episode.
Great story. One part was reminiscent of Blair Witch.
And the Goblins will get you, if you don't watch out...
I live in Occoquan... LOL!
For the algorithm!
❤
Someone should really write one about Williamsburg (thats where i am) and 2) at least this channel got the pronunciation right lol!
Nice! I totally guessed the pronunciation. Looks like I got lucky.
