Ah yes, making sure the tan is still tan, a favored military pastime.
I'm sure if you look hard enough you can find one man telling another man to paint the sand, and he will because the sand lacks tan.

Djinn. Inside out and outside in, reverse reality and they were literally in the belly of the beast. The horde ideal and the attempt at truce are very interesting. The brown liquid is reminiscent of another dragon story called "The Oath" written by Frank Peretti more than 20 years ago i think.

Ordinarily I compose myself a little better when giving my praise or criticism here, but for this one... FUCKIN' A, man! That was incredible! The story, the voices (again you amaze with your effort on accents), the entire thing. If this isn't your best effort yet, it's damned close. Amazing job, sir. Absolutely amazing.

The way he said *Dragon Slayer* made me think of a badass RPG,where you,as a child, see the murder and destruction of your entire village, all made possible by the Dragon Tribunal,a mysterious, and evil cult of men and women who worship the dragons of Fantaisiocht,a wonderful land, where there was peace, prosperity, bacon for everybody, and second most important, justice.until the dragons came by the thousands.and after so many dark, dark centuries,a prophesied Hero, named the Dragon Slayer,a person of undetermined age of gender, who would defeat the cult. All that was known about them is their sword,*Regent* capable of storing dragons souls

Really fabulous story, great plotting, terrific and engaging story telling. In the context of the story, I hope this marine went on with his life and did NOT take the mysterious guy up on his offer of a job. What I find most telling is that it was the Americans that cared about the children being victimized, where their own people did not give a dam. The Arab authorities did nothing, even knowing what they did. Even the Imam, a holy man, did nothing. He was perfectly happy to let the monster live and murder children and do nothing. When they should have assembled a heavily armed group, and all their religious icons and destroyed it. But they didn't----their own lives were more valuable to them and they were just fine with giving up children for sacrifices. It is offensive that an imam----a man of God----had the nerve to act holy and invoke the name of god, when he did nothing about the monster and even wanted the soldiers to ignore the continued slaughter of the children. The monster kept saying how humans were arrogant,, but he was the one drowning in arrogance. He was, just as the soldier said, making lame excuses. The soldier spoke the truth. The old man was a monster claiming to be a god, when he was nothing but a monster. In virtually every myth and legend, in every civilization throughout time, it has been the courage of men that has stood against the darkness of chaos. An excellent story! although, it actually sounded more like a "jinn" than what we would call a dragon.
