Good morning Debbie, I’m a day behind and didn’t get a chance to watch yesterday’s video until early this morning. My mother-in-law isn’t well and was admitted into the hospital. I’ll be with her again tonight so I plan on painting this beautiful magnolia that you’ve instructed us on today while I’m home. It’ll be so relaxing and I’m looking forward to it. Thank you for explaining everything so clearly as you always do. It makes it so much easier as you explain and describe everything so well. Magnolias are one of my favourites. I had a beautiful large magnolia tree in the front yard of the home I sold last year. I drove past it yesterday and it’s in full bloom and just beautiful. I’m really looking forward to painting this. So beautiful 😍 I love them! The thing that the flower pedels come from is called the Anther were the Staman sits into. The stamen is supported by the anther not the ovaries. I love watching you. Love how you explained how to draw the flowers. I have not seen a magnolia flower with this color. I am from the south and our magnolia are white with a yellow orange cone in the middle. Love to see you paint one of these. 😊❤

I love this realistic interpretation. Seems so many channels only do loose florals. You are a very good teacher. Also happy to see the WN paints. My favorites
Hi Sara, I go in an d out of both styles, I really like playing with wet on wet, although teach a lot of damp on damp to my beginners, (its much easier to control) I DO LOVE my WN's, what I used since college. For a much day to day painting I do now for these tutorials, I cant afford them daily, and tried SO many. I now use the MeiLiang set for my daily painting and quite happy with them. Happy painting friend, enjoy those WN! They are fabulous~

I’m so new to watercolor, but an eager beginner. Once your painting is dry, do you erase the pencil lines?
If your pencil lines are faint, they will not show, (I went darker here so you could see them) You "can" sometimes erase them, it depends how opaque the paint is over them. Sometimes I can, sometimes I Cant.
I do erase pencil lines after most times. Im so happy to have you here as a beginner! Welcome and practice practice, I promise you will get better, if I CAN do this so can you :-)

Hi~ Thank you I love these colors as well, Quin Magenta is one of my favorite. My videos im just shring but I do have little "companion Kits" that go with some of my videos. They are 2.50 on Etsy. Not for all of them as Im a bit technical challenged. They are something I would have liked from my art teachers decades ago, before youtube, google etc.
They have a little swatch sheet with the colors, the drawing and a few directions to go with the UA-cam video and the original painting you watch me paint here. Beautiful tutorial but your green nail polish is very distracting.
:-) I like to have fun with my nail polish (even previous to getting on youtube 11 months ago), although I will admit, not a big fan of the bright green. I have been leaning ore towards the pinks lately~

I watch a few people on UA-cam. I know a few very good artists that have been on youtube for two years and they are just about to reach 10,000 subs.
Your amount of subs is growing by leaps and bounds.
You're an over the top, outstanding teacher and that is why your growing. You are not stingy with sharing your knowledge of art. That's why your channel is growing so quickly.

I really try not to look at the numbers or it messes me up lol.. I just keep doing what I love, and see the numbers occasionally, because UA-cam emails me, but what I LOVE is these messages like yours that I feel so excited!
