16:51 There was this guy in the comment section of your SH4 videos (jyralnadreth4442 - whose comments I am partially copy-pasting here) telling you to put some crew on the deck gun on the management page: your reload rate is like a Battleship right now - for a 3 inch rapid fire gun.

Ha, ha, ha, at the very beginning, when the bombs fell from the plane and you grabbed the AAA machine gun and pointed it at the crew, I thought you wanted to shoot everyone who was on dog-watch and was supposed to observe the sky.

I suppose it was a short watch. I'm not an expert in maritime terminology, but that's what it seemed like to me.
instead of one watch between 12.00 and 1600 most ships will have 2 short watches in that time, switching at 1400

Fantastic episode taff, more of the imperial tonnage sent to the seabed and more trophies added to the tally. Sinking the imperial tonnage is going to really hamper the enemy war effort as well as causing serious concerns and forcing the enemy to look over their shoulders. Enemy aircraft can lethal out here, a cut above most allied aircraft you can find in the Atlantic, so don't under any circumstances underestimate them. Sailing ships and fishing sampans.. yeah they can be annoying in number but they add a welcome addition to the tally, all of which very likely have gun crews and possible hidden radio so, best to sink them if you can 😉. Great episode taff, well done mate 👏 👍

It takes practice, but the game is a lot of fun.
There's an auto-targetting option if you just want to have some fun sinking ships.
It's not too difficult but there is an option to have it done automatically as garytwin has said. Personally I would use it at first and then change to realistic. There is so much satisfaction to get your own kill. Also remember; most torpedoes did actually miss.
Good shooting, mate! But that pilot was rude, can you believe it? For a second I thought you'd still have one of the navy seals on board. ^^

I can't get over how poor the visibility is. The SH4 AI must be factoring in the high humidity of the tropics. I reckon. Very impressive shooting, Taff. Both torpedo and deck gun.

Taft, what mods do you have on pls? Also apparently there is an issue with the steam version being only ver 1.3 and getting 1.4 is problematic. How can I get what you are playing. Getting 1.4 isn't a problem. You just buy the U-Boat missions add on and it updates your game to 1.4.
