@bigshobe how about you understand not everyone has a gaming pc or the money for one, and EA would make some big money with the modern consoles and that the console player base would be able to take better advantage of the graphics.
Future setting wasn't the problem at all, BF2142 is there to prove that. The issue is that rather than "soldiers and warfare with futuristic technology", bf2042 made marvel superheros in fatigues. Somehow, the 2042 setting was less grounded and more fantasy-like than the 2142 one
It isn’t even the whole specialist system that made BF2042 awful at the end of the day. It’s just how the game feels. The guns have no weight or punch to them, little recoil, pretty much no preferred ranges where each weapon dominates or thrives. Next bf game needs commander mode as well. I had fun on my tablet when I couldn’t play on the pc. Felt like an rts game (when players actually listened to you)
My only issue I want included if there is a commander mode is that if you play as one, the other team must have one too. It was too OP if it was 1 vs. none.
@@LoCoAde87 yeah. Imo they should do it how BF2 or Squad does it. I like the idea of a dedicated commander interface, but I feel like people would like to be on the field as well. Perhaps that’s why it wasnt as popular in bf4
I give battlefield 4, a 9/10...The only way it could be a 10/10 is if they made the commander a part of the game instead of having to log in as a commander. Making the commander part of the game will bake it similar to battlefield 2, which was the most awarded battlefield of all time
We gave them so so much feedback. During the time of Bf3/BF4/ Hardline. Where did all that feedback go? We even joked about BF3 needing more dinosaurs and that led to great Easter eggs.

Still think Bad Company 2 was a better game but BF3 and BF4 were fantastic. BF1 had some great atmosphere but I think the vehicle balance even more obnoxious than normal for BF games. BFV had great gunplay and movement, plus the cool new features like towed weapons and fortification building.
I had so many incredible moments with BF4. I dipped my toe in BF3, but 4 was where it all clicked. I learned to fly the helicopter and got quite good. I adored using the troop heli to roadkill camping snipers on Firestorm. Lots of intense moments. Lots of hilarious moments. Lots of fun. I hope the next Battlefield turns out well. i wish people decision makers of big game devs like vince zampella would be more active on social media and share their ideas so we dont have to rely on articles from hard to find interviews or youtube videos to get those things
I restored my old stolen Origin account yesterday with BF4 among other games (thanks to awesome Mr. T from EA tech support), before watching your video. Just bought 4080 super and wanted to test one of the best BF games after years of not playing and I'm glad to see that the game is still holding up and that the people from the community are the real MVP''s for keeping this game alive (unlike me). But I'm glad that I have joined the ranks again. Awesome video.
I put so much time into BF3. I played some BF4 but I believe I was going through some life stuff that prevented me from playing as much as I would like. It is incredible how good it still looks. If they next battlefield game can capture that we will be in a great spot. I do have faith in Vince Zampella. He has had so few missteps in his career & I believe he knows what people are wanting in a Battlefield game.
I remember watching you owning on battlefield 4 back in the day! I would love to be excited for the new battlefield but I like many have been burnt too many times over the last decade.. I will never buy another battlefield game again after 2042 and I reckon half of battlefields player base from the battlefield 4 days will feel the same. Great content as always a real trip down memory lane keep up the good work
" i love how you can tell, that guy was a 'sniper' , what you are going up against" means literally zero in BF4, the 'sniper' class CAN have a sniper rifle, but also a carbine for mid range or a shotgun for up close and personal... does it really make a huge difference, you know he WONT have an lmg or assault rifle? does that help? great video , as always, jack
Was only 8 when BF4 came out so I didn't really play the golden era of Battlefield. But watching my dad rack up 4.5k hours on it was something. I'm just hoping the next Battlefield does something.
I really hope Hardcore comes back as a full-time gamemode. Thousands of players populated HC servers on both bf3/4. On console we even had a competitive scene called tier one gaming.
Totally agreed, we also need a server browser that allows you to choose an appropriate match that isn’t overwhelmed with players. For me the beauty is that it isn’t chaos with too many players so it allows you to be tactical. 32 players was golden amount IMO. Bring squad rush back as it was class and one of the best game modes.
As far as I can tell, the map was at least inspired by the Arecibo Observatory Radio Telescope in Puerto Rico. It was the largest single disk telescope in the world until it collapsed in 2020. It was used to search for alien life, exoplanets, and study the atmosphere and ionosphere. Have friends from the island that went on field trips there when they were young. Seeing the telescope ended up pushing a few of them into pursuing physics. This real life connection makes some older FPSs just a bit more in tune with reality. Booting up BF4 makes us all feel nostalgic, but this map in particular just makes this game even more special.
BF3 really was peak gaming. I remember playing it on the Xbox 360 first. My god the Audio, the destruction and the scale were unheard of. The fact they pulled of something still relevant today. Its hard to top that. May be a bit nostalgic as well as I would never pick up a conquest game mode anymore. Only Rush.
BF3 was the True high point of the Battlefield franchise as it interduce a lot into the game that the previse BF games didn't have. The Hype train when they released it was insane at the time having live players fight against each other on Live TV and special guesses like "Terry Cruise" actor jumping around like a little boy in a candy store, It was that time period where so many gamers met other gamers in person for the first time that changed them and to this day has made them different, nothing comes close! BF4 you could argue and say was biggie true, but it only was like that because of BF3 great release made it that way as more players were aware of the game then others before that, mainly Console players. BF4 had a lot of Problems with its rocky start and adding Levelution and Commander mode into game that took away from the destruction that BF3 had more of. Commander mode hurt the game in a lot of ways, made it unbalanced when playing first off especially when there was only one person playing as a Commander in a room sucked if you were on the losing team, free AC-130 or Cruise Missile isn't fun when you get blown up by it just because you were in the right place at the wrong time. Sure, BF4 had a lot of weapons and attachments for Weapons and Vehicles as well as Camo's as it should given BF3 didn't have as BF4 didn't improve on game modes and destruction as BF3 had, Tank Wars and Jet Fighting Wars to name a few. Plus, the Destruction was out of this world in BF3 as BF4 lost a lot of that Destruction due too it's Levelution, and BF3 having start its Online BF3 Combat page where you can look at all your stats and other in-game content that was lost in BF4 only shows how well BF3 was. But that's just my opinion.
BF3/4 were and still the peak of FPS games.

I think Battlefield 1 is actually the best online fps ever made. It is the culmination of both games you mentioned

@@jankaufmann4305 yes. Loved sniping on heavy metal.
BF 2 guys BF 2
Next bf game needs commander mode as well. I had fun on my tablet when I couldn’t play on the pc. Felt like an rts game (when players actually listened to you)
Why couldn't you play on pc?
My only issue I want included if there is a commander mode is that if you play as one, the other team must have one too.
It was too OP if it was 1 vs. none.
@@LoCoAde87 yeah. Imo they should do it how BF2 or Squad does it. I like the idea of a dedicated commander interface, but I feel like people would like to be on the field as well. Perhaps that’s why it wasnt as popular in bf4
loved the weapon and vehicle customization of BF4. good distinctive classes. good maps. great music.
I give battlefield 4, a 9/10...The only way it could be a 10/10 is if they made the commander a part of the game instead of having to log in as a commander. Making the commander part of the game will bake it similar to battlefield 2, which was the most awarded battlefield of all time
I loved playing this with my dad. Its truly one of the best modern FPS of all time
If you spot enemy aircraft that are near your spawn point, your base AA will engage the target.
WHHHAAAAAAAAAATTTTTT ?!
We gave them so so much feedback. During the time of Bf3/BF4/ Hardline. Where did all that feedback go? We even joked about BF3 needing more dinosaurs and that led to great Easter eggs.
The original developers are long gone. Love for the franchise too.
@@panjak323 I know. Just thought they would’ve kept some notes on file or something.
"99% of the shots dont miss when you hit them" -jack , 2024
So what happens to the 1% 🤯
only the 1% know
I can't believe how awesome this turned out!
All i dreamed of was Battlefield Bad Company 3 :(
Boycotting each and every single fucking Battlefield game until we finally get Bad Company 3
I love the large scale and proning etc. of "proper" BF games but even to this date, no game has done destruction better than Bad Company 2 all those years ago. You could destroy every single building. It's crazy how in many ways gaming is going backwards despite better tech.
@@tontsar91 Agreed with you on all points
Jack out here acting like he hasn’t played it yet! 😂😂
You think? That would be AMAZING
They mentioned they've brought community testers. It would be wild to assume Jack was not one of those invited.
@35salek
Hey jack, any BF game you play I ALWAYS love to watch! Mostly because I love most of the BF games in general but you were the only BF tuber I watched back like 5-7 or so years ago when you played a lot and where I literally don’t watch any other UA-cam gamer channels anymore just podcasts/news crap😂 but your personality and charisma has always been so likable to me for some reason(no homo😂) I still watch you vids of other games too somewhat often but man when I see you upload a BF vid especially a longer one I get hella hyped haha. *also helps that you’re a pretty damn good player in BF’s and pubg and so on. Anyways if u end up seeing this sometime somehow, I would love to see like a 45min-60min type BF video! If u did I say u should play BF3 or BF4 for the game of choice, but if it was any BF game or even PUBG I’d still be super pumped 😂 Probably won’t happen lol but thank you for the many years of videos and your dedication to making awesome content of thousands of hours of straight grinding 🫡🤧 you have really made a massively big impact on my gaming entertainment experience! And I appreciate the crap out of it!! Best wishes -Bo
I miss the Battlelog where they listed your world rankings based on your SPM and various stats. Had top world rankings in some categories. They need to bring Battlelog back for the next BF.
I'm amazed that few people comment on this, and that's exactly what has been missing in all the BFs released. Come back soon battlelog!
Played the heck out of 4, but a lot of the maps in 3 where way more enjoyable imo,
thanks for another video Jack! Been with u since bf3 days!
👍
Still think Bad Company 2 was a better game but BF3 and BF4 were fantastic.
BF1 had some great atmosphere but I think the vehicle balance even more obnoxious than normal for BF games. BFV had great gunplay and movement, plus the cool new features like towed weapons and fortification building.
BfBc2 is the best
I had so many incredible moments with BF4. I dipped my toe in BF3, but 4 was where it all clicked. I learned to fly the helicopter and got quite good. I adored using the troop heli to roadkill camping snipers on Firestorm.
Lots of intense moments. Lots of hilarious moments. Lots of fun. I hope the next Battlefield turns out well.
Thanks for the video Jack, always a pleasure watching you play and have fun.
R.I.P big cuz, hope you are up there pulling some strings for us BF4 players. I miss you falling out my chopper daily and being my ammo man. sleep well soldier!
Thanks for the vid Jack 😃 I've been playing bf4 the last 2 days myself with about 10 people i met on it shortly after release and we have been friends ever since ☺️ The nostalgia is amazing and bf4 is still my 2nd favourite ever game
Everyone is mentioning bf3 and 4 but no one is mentioning the masterpiece that was bad company 2
Love seeing you play the older battlefield games 💯🤜🤛❤️
Hope the next battlefield game has the classical battlefield feeling.
13:30 A true Battlefield moment right there!
Jack knows what he's doing. Content GOLD 😎🙏
I really prefer the UI of BF V and 1 to the cheesy early 2000's action movie look of the UI in BF3/4.
I will ALWAYS remember our BF moments in BF3 and BF4...the absolute GREATEST MIL SHOOTERS EVER PRODUCED!
If they do what they're saying, they're going to do...then the shooter genre leaders of the present will be losing their place in the ranks! Oh man I'm STOKED! BRING IT DEVS!!!
This just made my day better!
Sussy
lol "'Cause it's the only one I could find that wasn't Operation Metro, three thousand tickets!" ROFLZ how true is that.
Your script and way you talk about the gameplay, is exactly what my internal monologue sounds when I am playing absolutely baked lol.
Man I still remember the BF3 alpha on rush metro. Those were the days... A bit buggy but so much fun.
Back in 2016 I used to play this game with my friends after coming back home from university. Those were the good old days man. Thank you Jack really thank you sir
Bro you should play BF: Vietnam that "fortunate sons" reference took me right back.
there are still some servers, i have it installed
I still play it on the PS5. Great to see you back on the bf4 battlefield👍💪
The Arecibo Radar Telescope did indeed collapse and it was in Puerto Rico.
such peak times.. was thinking about bf4 at work earlier this week and then few days later jack uploads a vid about it.. maybe its a sign i need to get on a game soon. its been years
They also teased 2042 as being an ode to the BF community. Look how that turned out.
This gameplay is absolutely amazing. This game has been peek gaming for 11 years. The jet Sounds sound so real 😮
just give me a well crafted bad company 3 and i'll be happy
Boycotting each and every single fucking Battlefield game until we finally get it
I really hope the next title is more BF3 than BF4. Aftermath DLC for BF3 was peak gaming for me. Nothing will ever replace that feeling of getting home from school and loading up some BF3 with the boys.
What are you guys talking about, we need a Bad Company 2 remake ASAP. That's the champ right there.
That was the real peak. Hardcore mode on Bc2 was so good
Best sound design and gun play
TRACKING DARTS. 🎯
Bought the game a week ago after seeing your old videos and i love it!
Damn I miss Squad Up with Lvlcap, Mat and X
i wish people decision makers of big game devs like vince zampella would be more active on social media and share their ideas so we dont have to rely on articles from hard to find interviews or youtube videos to get those things
4:24 Wasn't in China, was in Puerto RIco.
BFBC2 / BF3 / BF4 EVERYBODY WHO HAVENT PLAYED THEM ..... DAMN YOU MISSED THE GOLDEN TIMES BRO
Great content as always a real trip down memory lane keep up the good work
Sound design was soo good. A big part of the feel. Such an important piece of the puzzle
"accept to redeploy", I forgot all about that! So needed!
Man BF4 is still my all-time fave, thanks Jack, I needed this!
That jet in 13:30 was the crazy moment BF is all about :D What a crazy, amazing scene.
" i love how you can tell, that guy was a 'sniper' , what you are going up against"
means literally zero in BF4, the 'sniper' class CAN have a sniper rifle, but also a carbine for mid range or a shotgun for up close and personal...
does it really make a huge difference, you know he WONT have an lmg or assault rifle? does that help?
great video , as always, jack
Was only 8 when BF4 came out so I didn't really play the golden era of Battlefield. But watching my dad rack up 4.5k hours on it was something. I'm just hoping the next Battlefield does something.
I really hope Hardcore comes back as a full-time gamemode. Thousands of players populated HC servers on both bf3/4. On console we even had a competitive scene called tier one gaming.
Thanks Jackfrags, my favourite bf game but also love bad company. Good content ❤
BF4 is how I found your channel.
Epic gameplay; and a thoroughly satisfying and entertaining experience. What’s no to love? ☝🏻
Oh man you brought me back to my good old days. I would still play this game if there were servers around my country. :(
3:38 that jet flying by gives me chills
Phantom program was so good, going down in that elevator was surreal after all that hard work
love to see u sniping on this game like before. so satisfying!
I agree with masterpiece, I started playing bf from bf4 I brought it on ps4. Haven't been back to cod since type thing. Love it.
Jack probably secretly play testing the new BF behind the scenes
Totally agreed, we also need a server browser that allows you to choose an appropriate match that isn’t overwhelmed with players. For me the beauty is that it isn’t chaos with too many players so it allows you to be tactical. 32 players was golden amount IMO. Bring squad rush back as it was class and one of the best game modes.
"fortunate son starts to play" - this is reading from my mind like some tele prompt... EXACTLY!
The sound design in this game was so good. The Jets flying by are incredible.
what an amazing flashback....loved the A and B points
BF3 really was peak gaming. I remember playing it on the Xbox 360 first. My god the Audio, the destruction and the scale were unheard of. The fact they pulled of something still relevant today. Its hard to top that. May be a bit nostalgic as well as I would never pick up a conquest game mode anymore. Only Rush.
BF3 is when I discovered your channel !
just bought it again after I canceled my ea play subscription a few months ago. We gotta keep this game alive❤❤❤
i love a classic jackfrags BF game. This video my Sunday morning jam
love bf4, but I hope they take more inspiration from bf3. The atmosphere and map design in bf3 was unmatched, plus the vehicles wasnt as OP in bf3
