My box! Yay I'm so happy you guys got it 😍😍 yes! Idaho spuds in the freezer is the best way!! 👌🏼 I rushed my letter lol
It's finally LIVE!! Thank you so much for being so patient with us!! We hope you enjoyed watching 😀
@@ThisWithThem I did! I would of included more from my state. But, I rushed it to the post office lol
Huckleberry jam.....yummy! 🙋🏻♀️
I live in Oregon, was great to see things from my neck of the woods! Thanks for representing!!
@@constanceworden487 Theresa here, I know right, I live 30 min from Aurora and I was so happy to see the PHF nuts, they are so good
Finally something from Cranberry Sweets!!! They have another candy called Lemon Meringue candy. Where the inside is lemon fruit paste and outside a white candy. Rachel Ray visited the original Cranberry Sweets when the founder was still working in the store. I think you can find that video on UA-cam.
Oh wow! I bet that is amazing! I am new to this brand and love it. I'll have a look thank you 😀
Kate! At 5:51 you blew on the flaming hot cheeto to cool it off. LOL
Saundra Murray I noticed that too! 😃
haha my mind must have thought it would cool it down 😂 I tend to do weird things like this haha
The limes are literally the best to
Me! I love to take the original ones with lemon juice
I don’t know why but your channel is so calming x
Ah thanks Alice! x
Agreed
Concord Grape refers to a variety of grapes (purple), meaning a species of grape vines that originated around Concord, Massachusetts, but grows in many parts of the US
Ahh that makes sense. Thank you 😀
Sun chips are one of my favorites, I prefer the garden salsa flavor. Growing up in Florida, we always got sun chips as a side if you purchased school lunch. Watching you eat these makes me want to go to the store and grab a bag!
I definitely agree, the new Hershey’s cookie layer crunch bars taste different. I haven’t tried the strawberry waffle, but the triple chocolate, caramel, and mint bars are fantastic!
They're so delicious. Oh wow that flavour sounds awesome!!! No way, that's so cool they did that!
Definitely try the strawberry one! So delicious
The garden salsa ones are best!
Garden salsa is my very fave! 😋
I eat SunChips with my lunch all the time too, and was so surprised to see they hadn't tried them yet! I thought they had tried everything!!
Most schools offer sun chips actually
My favorite way to eat the spicy jams is to pour it over some cream cheese. Then take a knife and put some (of both) on a water cracker. The cream cheese will cut a little if the heat and makes it a bit more palatable for me. This is popular to have at parties too.
I'm dying laughing listening to yall talk about Half Pops being half popped 😂😂 Ive never seen those Welch's puffs before...they seem bizarre.
Kristie McCloud I said the same thing!
We are so slow aren't we!! We even read half popped before we ate them 😂 Yeah really bizarre
@@ThisWithThem Lol, I wouldn't say you're slow but it was certainly funny 😊
I came to the comments because of this! I was telling the video READ! lmao
Yes! I was thinking the same thing! Lol
Those little mint chips are from hickory farms. Little kiosks during Christmas time at the malls in North America. They are called mini melt away mints.
Ah amazing! Thanks for letting us know ☺️
@@ThisWithThemThey are often served at baby and wedding showers …. or they used to be in the 80s and 90s.
They're made with white chocolate candy and a lot of people use them todecorate chocolate candies when they make their own.
I just watched a documentary on Hershey chocolate. It was created using milk in place of powder milk, he wanted European chocolate to be affordable to everyone in the states.
They had to add something so the water in milk and fat in butter would mix, it soured the milk a little and they keep the taste as the states have gotten use to it and like it. I never taste bitter in it. And like the semi-sweet dark chocolate too.
Interesting. Hate Hershey though. It's sickenly sweet
I just love these videos! When I first ventured into UA-cam, your candy box videos were the very first ones I started to follow. Still one of my favorites ❤️
This is so lovely to hear, thank you Julie ❤️
This was such an incredible variety! Makes me want to visit the region more! Thanks for sharing you two! So fun!💞
Awesome variety!! Ahh yes, you definitely should if you can! We i could! 💗
This was one of the best tasting videos yet! I'm envious, especially with all those huckleberry candies!
Some miscellaneous facts:
About a third of the potatoes in the U.S. are grown in Idaho. The state's license plates have the slogan "Famous Potatoes" printed on them. I'm sure the Idaho Spud Candy Company was inspired by this.
Concord grapes are a variety native to the U.S. They're mostly used for jelly and juice. The juice has a dark purple color and a distinctive flavor. There is Concord grape wine, but it's generally pretty low quality. Concord grapes are called "slip-skins" because if you squeeze one between your fingers the inside part will slide out, leaving the skin behind.
The name "Old Faithful" is a reference to the famous geyser in Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. There's even a picture of it on the wrapper. They geyser gets its name because it erupts so regularly (about once an hour, day after day, month after month, year after year).
It's "horehound," not "horsehound." The flavor comes from an herb of the same name. And yes, I also think it tastes nasty.
So many awesome things!!
No way, that's awesome!
Thanks for letting us know. That makes sense now.
Woah that's so cool.
Thank you for saying Oregon correctly! So many add an E on the end and we say we haven't gone anywhere. ;) So happy you enunciate it properly.
I like my big hunks both normal like you tried it, so chewy and sometimes I like to freeze it and crack it in to smaller pieces.
Yay thanks Shannon 😀
Kate: pepper jelly is great on top of cream cheese then eat with crackers. also great to glaze a baked chicken
Yum didn't even think to have with cream cheese!
This is how I eat it as well. So good!
This was a fabulous video. Under the weather so it was a great way to rest up watching it.😊
Honestly love watching your videos! I just got back from the dollar store and got
Some candy so I could enjoy a snack while catching up on your latest videos! Much love to you both ❤️
Huckleberries are wild in WA, ID, OR and Montana
Yeah!! Bruce's Candy Kitchen!! I love going there and have even ordered chocolates and candy online. Cannon Beach is a wonderful place!!!
Ah amazing 😀
Used to go to Cannon Beach for the annual Sand Castle Competition. I still have my medal from the year our youth group one our division.
I ❤️ you guys! your vids are a great thing to watch to wind down at the end of a long day.
Thank you so much Melina ❤️
Could you also do close ups of the actual product within the packaging? Not just the packaging :)
Yes... You said oregon correctly. I am from eugene oregon and I love watching you two. Keep up the fun videos.
Thanks Sarah 😀 Ah thats so lovely to hear, thank you ❤️
Ore-GONE is correct too. You're not the center of the universe and if I say it that way, I have my reference ie a city in my state that and that is how it's said. Get over your ignorant self

Love from a born and raised Idahoan! I commented before I watched. I haven't even tried many of those sweets you received, so glad they gave you a good variety! Love the dynamic between you two! 🕺💃🤸
yaaaay so pleased to hear this Kayla 😀
you guys just brought my childhood back to me through all the huckleberry stuff! we used to go camping near Mt. Rainier every summer and spent a lot of time picking wild huckleberries....DELISH, thanks for that!
FABULOUS. Love all your vlogs, watching on my treadmill as it is a treat to hear and see all about candy and goodies from other countries than my own, Canada. Thank you so much, will try not to drool as I run, lol. big hugs, .... cheers for being my guilt free treat.
Ahhh what a great idea! I also love to watch UA-cam videos while in the gym!! Haha hope your run is going well!
Haha no worries, we can eat the calories for you 😂
The little minty snow caps are most likely butter mints and used for a lot of weddings as party favors or left on tables for guests to eat. Such great boxes! And Kate, I so agree about the huckleberry! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 Montana has an amazing truck stop/gift shop, and the BEST huckleberry shakes you’ll ever have!!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Ah they would be awesome little favours! Really great boxes! So amazing aren't they! Wish we had Huckleberry here! Mmm yum, they sound amazing 😍
Glad you are here again trying American Candy
Thanks Kirsten! Glad you're excited for more ☺️
The garlic parmesan pretzel crisps are really good strong in flavor but lovely tasting!
You guys make me hungry every time I watch you lol.
Another great episode, you get to try things that I never heard of
Thank you Tammy! So cool isn't it! We are very lucky
There’s a lot of those snacks that you can find in northern central states such as Missouri and Nebraska as well as mine which is Kansas! Love all of them!
Snake river is so beautiful 😍
The "cupcake toppers" are Melt Aways. They come in that small size and a large size(kind of Hershey Kiss size) as well - at least here in Western NY they do. They are a favorite for gingerbread houses as well as being put out at holidays- especially Easter. A lot of times you can find them in other colors besides the pastels as well.
Thank you for letting us know Maggie
Yes you pronounced Oregon right!! I live in Oregon and it makes me happy. 😆😁
Wow! She sent Bruce's candy! Their salt water taffy is the best! I have been going to that candy store since I was 3 years old. 40 years! 🧡
I always love watching these videos! I was excited to see you try something from my home town. The Claey's Candy Horsehound hard candies are made in Northern Indiana. They come in a wide variety if flavors.
Thank you so much! Oh awesome, thanks for letting us know ☺️
They have so many different flavors I loved the watermelon ones! And the root beer ones!
Grew up in Idaho in a city right by the Snake River Canyon. It was a wonderful place to live and beautiful with the Shoshone and Twin Falls as our stomping grounds. Love huckleberries and huckleberry pancakes. Enjoy your videos!
Garden salsa sun chips are the best!!! I also love that brand of Maui onion chips, sooo good
I grew up in Oregon and have lived in Nebraksa for the last 4 years and this is making me so homesick! I looooove our marionberry flavors!
The French onion suncrisps are amazing too. They are my favorite.
Wow these sound amazing
Loved the video. I am from Caldwell, Idaho. I love Huckleberry. One of my favorite is the huckleberry gems that you tried.
Hey Kathy! So glad you enjoyed watching ☺️
Hey Kate and Alex! Guys this was I think one of the longest videos you’ve made and I’m not complaining lol. Thank you for this video. I love the fact there are snacks in my own country I don’t know about cuz it’s on the other side of the country. Those welches puffs are new to me but now I want to find them and eat them with the Israeli peanut puffs. I love sun chips! The recently made a sweet potato and brown sugar one and they are delicious. I like Alex’s hair. It’s better when he’s not hiding it under a cap. Can’t wait for the next video!
Hey Klara ☺️ I think you are right!! Ah yay so pleased you're happy it's long. I remember when we first uploaded videos we thought a 10 minute video was crazy for our channel and far too long! look at us now haha 😂 Yeah that's so cool isn't it! Just shows how big America is. Oh wow, i reckon I would love those Sun chips!! I like his hair too! He had just had it cut ☺️
This With Them yes I can imagine like 10 minutes feels like forever but with the amount of snacks you have to review and discuss where it’s from or comparisons you now have enough material to do these long videos. It’s awesome! You would like those sun chips. I think you would like all the flavors! Oh Alex should get that hair cut always lol.
Fantastic boxes, really interesting items
Really awesome boxes! Thanks Stephanie 😀
I love the shirt, Alex! You guys crack me up the way you pronounce “bourbon”! 😃 In the US, we pronounce it burr-bun, not boar-bon.
I find it so funny how we pronounce things differently
I love that you got to try treats from my home state of Oregon. I need to find the chocolate hazelnut truffles. I need to try a frozen Idaho Spud. I love marionberries. Sun chips are some of my favorite chips.
Yay thanks Jamie! One of our lovely followers found us a link to the truffles- @t
Hello again, Kate and Alex. After seeing the video and seeing how much you liked the Huckleberry flavored treats I just had to tell you that almost every year my family goes to the mountains just outside our town and we pick wild Huckleberries in the month of August. They are absolutely delicious but it does take a long time to pick a lot of berries and there are actually 5 different varieties of the wild Huckleberries. We love them! :-)
That sounds like so much fun!!
Guuuurl that box was huge haha, so much really yummy looking snacks I'm jealous lol. The sunchips are one of my all time favorites, the sweet potato and brown sugar flavor ones are to die for!! Thanks for sharing, it was fun to watch as always! :)
I know right haha. I hear those are amazing. So pleased you enjoyed watching ☺️
I love Sun Chips. I remember when they first came out on the market in the '90s. The french onion ones are the best. Also, my family always served those mini nonpareil mints during holiday dinners.
Mmm french onion!!
Definitely miss the French onion ones
Theresa here again, I love that taffy grew up eating it when I would go to Seaside with my mom to visit her cousin, and that syrup is amazing
So lovely! Yeah the Syrup was insane 😍
I used to live in NW Montana near Glacier National Park and am so glad you were sent some huckleberry jam & syrup. Huckleberry is my absolute favorite flavor, unfortunately it's really hard to get here in Iowa.
Part of the reason huckleberry costs so much is how difficult it is to harvest. Since it only grows at higher elevations and can't be domesticated it's a real pain to pick. Also huckleberries are a favorite of bears, so there is an added element of possible danger when picking.
But in my opinion it's the best in jam & syrups, is also amazing as pie filling and cheesecake topping. Huckleberry ice cream, shakes, & tea is also awesome.
My favorite gift shop near Glacier Park is in Hungry Horse called The Huckleberry Patch. Amazing huckleberry products. Loved this episode.
Thank you Tyson! We absolutely loved the Huckleberry jam & syrup! Oh wow, that's so cut the bears love them too!
Would love to visit that shop one day
as a montanan i was so excited to see this video
Greetings from Oregon! Way to represent our state with some of our favorite treats!
Yay thanks Hather ☺️
Been through Idaho 5 years ago and went to Seattle 5 years ago too. Love Sun Chips.
😀
The little colorful mint chips that are like snow caps; we have in Massachusetts as well. They are called “smooth and melty mints” here, I loved them as a kid. This was a great video (:
Thank you Satina
Omg Kate! Haha I can predict when you are going to say you will put something in your car and say it before you now! Lol 😂 DYING
The hot jams are insanely good on ham as a glaze, or mixed with cream cheese to make an amazing dip. The big hunk is my favorite its been popular since the early 60's. Black cows even longer. Chicken bones have been around since the 30's. Horehound is an herb. Those have been around since the early 1800's now a days it's used mostly as an herbal remedy. Amazing cough drops. Sunchips are the best cheddar is my second favorite. They make a sun dried tomato, basil, and parmesan. They also make an onion that is fantastic. The meltaway mints are larger nonparallels. The minis taste exactly the same, but they are great for decorating cupcakes, and putting in fudge cookies or brownies. Yummy. You are right. Snyder's honey mustard, onion are the best.
Oh wow yeah! I can see lots of people enjoying it like that! I absolutely loved the Black Cow!!
Mmm those sun chips sound amazing! Thanks for all of the comments Mary ☺️
We love Sun Chips. The salsa flavor is our favorite. So good!
Someone else mentioned that flavour!!! Sounds delicious
Hi guys what really interesting boxes. Your subscribers are sooo generous 🙂 those round wafers sounded so delicious and unusual and i didn't know that tic tacs could be gum. With American candy i love anything watermelon or grape flavour. Those grape puffs sounded so strange though! Not sure about those but yay that you were able to try all that fab stuff 👍
Really interesting! And yes we are so lucky to receive all of these super generous boxes! I know! I was new to tic tac gum too! Mmm i also love watermelon candy. Yeah they were a little odd. We are still getting use to grape candy
From Washington state love when the PNW is represented! As kid I loved huckleberry picking.
My father lives in Idaho, so I recognized a lot of the treats from there too!
So fun and such a delicious reward!!
Lol except we are as we picked😂 never had enough left to make anything. I love huckleberry jams and syrups. A nice syrup over a bit of vanilla bean ice cream 😋
@@ashleynorton9718 haha that's so what I would do 😂
We use to eat those candy as kids.burnt peanut were my fave
I am from Oregon and was excited to see the PNW featured!!!
love the NW boxing being from Seattle!,WY isn't in the NW I know some people will disagree though, sun chips are great!! the French onion ones are amazing
I’m from Idaho, so familiar with all of these candy’s and snacks. Huckleberry ice cream is awesome too.
I love you guys, you're videos are the best❤
Thank you so much Tilde! ❤️
I am actually going huckleberry picking in Washington for a weekend this month. It is awesome to hear that you guys enjoy the flavor. My mother in law usually makes a ton of jams out of what we collect and lasts our families through out the year! :)
No way!! That's is so awesome, enjoy it! And enjoy all of the lovely jame 😋
Pik Nik brings back so many memories!
Utah is right below Idaho and we have Alot of those here. Love Sun Chips
Owyhee is pronounced Oh-Why-Hee and is also the name of a county in South West Idaho
I no longer live in Montana but when we did the kids would sell martinsens candy from Huntley, Montana they have some really good candies
Ah awesome 😀
I'm from Idaho living in Tennessee this made me miss home so much.
Just now watching this video but when they were trying the popcorn the brand was called halfpops that is why they look like they just came out of the kernel.
The sun chips are my favorite.
The pretzel crisps are my favorite but in the flavor garlic parmesan
You could use those glazes that you had at the end with some warm camembert on a biscuit.
I’ve been planning to send an Idaho box! But clearly I’m a procrastinator 😂 I’m glad someone sent some Idaho treats. I live right by Cliff’s in Caldwell, Idaho! I’ve been here about 7 years (from Utah) and we definitely have some unique snacks! LOVE Hawaiian kettle chips (I’m also Hawaiian, lol) 🥰 Also, Owyhee is pronounced similarly to the word Hawaii, Oh-Wye-Hee.
Haha no worries at all! Ahh I can understand how its meant to sound now, thank you
Hi Kate & Alex ❤️All candy tasting videos
Ah thank you so much Becky ❤️
The traditional Hersheys taste is from spices not chemicals. Allspice and cinnamon, that sort of thing.
in indiana we put the potato sticks on our salads and it’s so good it’s like putting croutons on your salad
Was surprised to see Idaho treats! Chicken bones were my favorite growing up.
Hello you two, the Hazelnuts are from Aurora Oregon: which is two towns away from me, about a half an hour away . love how you two get along so well. Hi, Kate and Alex. I wanted to tell you those Hawaiian chips you tried are produced and distributed by Tim's Cascade chips in Washington State. I've seen you try some of Tim's Cascade chips before. They do other flavors beside the one you tried here like Barbeque and sweet Maui Onion. They are very good.
Ahh we didn't realise that, thanks for lettings know ☺️

I am so happy you all were able to enjoy huckleberries. My Grandad would pick them fresh in the forest and make huckleberry apple pie. There is a restaurant a few miles from the airport called Huckleberry Square where you can get huckleberry pie, huckleberry lemonade, huckleberry shake, jam, taffy etc. Washington is also known for cherries...Rainier and Bing, etc. We are also home to the famous Walla Walla onion. Named after the town Walla Walla in Eastern Washington. The Hawaiian chips are made by Tim Cascade which is in a suburb of Seattle. You can check the website for special batches. Currently it's smoked gouda. They have coney island mustard and my favorite unsalted. Same with the Hawaiian...limited batch is flavir Menehune Madness. I haven't tried those yet. Got to go...my deer family showed up..the parents and 2 kids.
We absolutely loved them! Oh wow, that must have been so amazing 😍 Woah, if we ever visit we HAVE to go there!!! Yes! We learnt about the Walla Walla onion in one of our other boxes! Mmm smoked gouda!!!! I think i would love those ones! Ah lovely, enjoy your time with them ☺️
I forgot to mention there is a large dairy company from Oregon called Tillamook (pronounced Till ah muck) that makes milk products including huckleberry ice cream with real huckleberries in it with swirls of huckleberry flavor in the vanilla. Super yummy!
I am putting a box together for you all. All products will be from state of Washington only. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
