    Egypt survived, but the Hittite, Mycenaean weren't. The trade routes was destroyed. Bronze age was built by a very important material: Bronze - made from Copper and Tin. Copper were vastly mined in Cyprus, while Tin were very rare. People needed to went all the way to Afghanistan, Spain, or as far as Britain. After the sea people's wrath, the whole trade system was destroyed and without bronze, the Bronze age couldn't survive. Egypt couldn't survive alone.

    Though they survived, most of these civilizations went into a severe decline where they can never be strong powers ever again.

      Can you elaborate? Your wording is unclear as to whether you are talking in the past or the present tense when you say they "can never be strong powers ever again". Most of the specific states at the time surely went into irreversible decline but the Middle East has been host to strong powers right up until the early 20th Century and Egypt has been a strong power several times throughout history.

    they say the sea peoples are proof Atlantis was real because of many factors.
    1. every coastal city in the Mediterranean has been seen to be abandoned in favour of fortified settlements in mountains and hills with a vantage point overlooking the sea.
    2. it is said the sea people came with civilians and solders most likely after a cataclysm searching for a new home.
    3. it is said in Assyrian and Egyptian texts that when the sea people arrived they arrived on huge warships with technology unseen by Mesopotamia civilisations.
    4. they were considered so powerful and numerous only half of Egypt and the capital of the Assyrians was left standing after the invasion ended.
    5. with the power vacuumed caused by the sea peoples the rise of Persia began.

    • @coindisk355
      @coindisk355 9 місяців тому +5

      @@questionc9312 well given the evidence of how the other nations reacted to them , their name and the fact they came from the sea and are not from the Mediterranean its quite possible they are the Atlanteans from Atlantis, the way they invaded is like a exodus after a cataclysm with them bringing not only solders but whole families by boat to the Mediterranean.

    • @MrGatonegroish
      @MrGatonegroish 9 місяців тому +10

      @@questionc9312 The guy you're replying to has watched a bit too much Ancient Aliens I'd say.
      All we know is around this time there were a lot of migrations, and an increase in piracy and raiding. They hit Cyprus, Egypt, Anatolia and Canaan, at different points over some 50 years. Some groups like the Sherden show up over and over, others like the "Ekwesh" or the "Peleset" less so. These are all names the Egyptians gave to basically people they had never met, so it must all be taken with a massive grain of salt.
      At the same time, a lot of big cities were abandoned or violently destroyed -- Hattusa, Ugarit, Mycenae. Some of these, like Ugarit, were definitely destroyed by these hordes of raiders. Others like Mycenae might have been the reverse: their destruction is what caused people to take to the sea as raiders and migrants when their old kingdoms fell.
      As for their "technology unseen by Mesopotamian civilizations"... If you google "Medinet Habu Sea Peoples" you can see how Ramesses III depicted them on a temple he built. Their technology is just boats and wagons filled with men, women and children. Hungry people looking for a new home, no cool ancient tech I'm afraid.

    I'm so sick of this historical revisionism... West Africa has it's own beautifull history there is no need to co-opt literally every other people's history just because ur ancestors were enslaved and ur people were treated unjustly.

    • @lp4514
      @lp4514 8 місяців тому +8

      I can't stand that either, but there is no historical revisionism in this game (also it was made in Bulgaria not in America, they're not into all that political correctness stuff there). The vast majority of Egyptians in it actually look Egyptian and even here only 2 out of 7 of the soldiers are black, which wouldn't be impossible considering a good part of southern Egypt was next to and sometimes included Nubia/Kush which is mostly black (we also know for certain that Nubians ruled Egypt a few times because some Pharaohs were definitely black, but only a small minority). So it would be normal that some of them also end up working in Egypt as soldiers for example like here.

The worst seems to always come from Netflix.
