This Abu Dhabi race was the sickest i ve ever seen, i am so happy to have seen it live. It was so close so spectacular, with heroes like Perez and a last lap clash, i dont think u can ever repeat this.
I always tear up when I see footage of this season, especially the last race. My dad used to watch F1 since the early 90s, a big Jos Verstappen fan and when Max came in to F1, all he wanted was to see Max become the world champion. Sadly he passed away in 2020 and never saw a Verstappen become world champion. This is a awesome season, one we will likely not see anytime soon. Just glad we've been here to see it.🙏
2021 was an incredibly rare season. Two title contenders with EXACTLY the same points going into Abu Dhabi with the title being decided on the LAST lap. I'd argue 2021 was the best of the century...even better than Vettel's 2010 fight or the Silver War.
2021 was epic! The ending.. no movie could have done it better. And what a great piece of defensive driving from Checo in that last race so Max could gain on Lewis. Never saw that level of driving from Checo since..

Categorically there will never be a better F1 season than 2021. Fanboys can argue amongst themselves about rules, cheating blah blah blah - but real F1 fans will remember seeing two of the greatest of all time go head to head and racing at a level no other drivers could even get close to.
This was the best season in F1 history 🤩. The moment Max won the title was awesome. Now he is a three time World Champion and soon he wins his 4th title in a row. Keep pushing, Super Max 🇳🇱🧡🏆🦁.

Yes, no doubt, obviously the mercedes was significantly better in the last 4 races, but no doubt hamilton drove better than verstappen in abu dhabi, even considering the fact normally verstappen didn't lose out at the start, and overall we have a questionable minor penalty at silverstone (which had no effect) and bad luck for verstappen in baku and hungary and good luck for hamilton at imola, so even with hamilton 1st and verstappen 2nd in abu dhabi, verstappen was more deserving across the year.
I don’t see how Ham deserved to win in AD’21. He had plenty of opportunity to make that gap way bigger than it was at the time Latifi crashed to be able having a pitstop and keep the lead. Even then that MB still could fight VER even without drs so huge was the advantage of Ham. Masi did not purposely made a decision against Ham, he really thought this was the way to go if you don’t want to finish under yellow…as all teams agreed on by the way. So VER rightful Champion considering even not having the fastest car.
The Redbull was faster all season except the last 4 races. Both merc and Lewis truly showed what they were made of. Such a sad ending to a great season.
