    Ahhh west Georgia. I had no idea this was a southern dish. I’ve lived in Atlanta for over twenty five years now but somehow this dish is new to me. 🙃

    i tried the recipe, it turned out really good, although the cheese didn't want to melt, any idea what im doing wrong?

    • @NoFrillsKitchen
      @NoFrillsKitchen  2 роки тому

      It could just be the kind of cheese you used - feta, for instance, doesn't melt nearly as well as Imeruli does but it is the closest approximation if you can't get the real thing :) Happy to hear the recipe turned out for you otherwise!

    What would this be good to serve with?

      It's good with an array of Georgian food - particularly something lighter like a Georgian salad or ajapsandali. You can see all my Georgian recipes here: ua-cam.com/play/PLfJbwrBrSMiSYeq_hmjuznc04zCFl-3Xp.html

    Don’t you need to add sugar to activate the yeast?

    • @NoFrillsKitchen
      @NoFrillsKitchen  4 місяці тому

      No, there are enough sugars in the flour and milk - there is no need to add sugar in order for dried yeast to work.
