I mean, they have been building it up for a while and ofter the Okinawa episode it looked like the invasion of Japan was going to be insane!! Like bigger and crazier than D-Day!! India was taking Britian's side against Japan because Japan was sus, even if Japan was promising better treatmeant Malaysia and India better. Which is a huge joke because Japan was toxic af. Malyasia realized anyone was better after spending 1 day with Japan . If an invasion of Japan happened, Japan could've tried to take a few countries including India, though Britian would fight with India agianst that. But Japan could've won over a few more countries for a very short time, and put on the charming act for a few hours. The viewers would come in for the drama. And they could still add in nukes at the end too. So I switch my position and think we shoudl've gotten 2 more seasons.

Hopefully this rumored sequel to WW2 called the "Cold War" will be just as good. It's rumored to be a conflict between the United States and the Soviet Union. Now I can't wait to see that conflict between these two powerful nations and with these new nuclear weapons this conflict will be insane!!
If anyone’s wondering why Adolf’s actor left in the final season it’s because he apparently decided he wasn’t cut out for being an actor and went on to try painting. He apparently enjoyed it but supposedly he ended his life due to this pathway not taking off and when he found out he missed the last season nobody else would hire him for acting
Season 1's relationship with Stalin and Hitler, the entire cast loved it when they met in Poland. Their relationship got cold and stopped seeing eye to eye and had to break up at Season 2. That was a sad day for WW2 ;(

It tore me up big time…while he might not have been as dramatic as Benito or as memorable as Stalin, he was still one of my favorite characters. His friendship with Churchill was a highlight of the show I don’t see talked about enough.
Also, I’ve heard that FDR’s sudden passing completely derailed the studio’s original plan for the finale. And it kinda shows…Don’t get me wrong, what we got was still pretty good, and the atomic bombs weren’t entirely out of left field, but it was still a little disappointing for them to drop Operation Downfall after all that build up on Iwo Jima and Okinawa. Not to mention that mini-arc with the Soviets invading Manchuria in between the atomic bombings felt a bit tacked on.

Basically when Pétain, the 1st World War hero, signed the 2nd armistice with Germany signing the official end of the war, the majority of France still could and wanted to fight, but that was illegal. So Charles de Gaule flew to England and made friends with Churchill and the BBC to lead what we call "La Résistance" a Nazi sabotage movement which helped especially by saving jew lives, hiding them from the milicia, amongst other things. When the plan to free Paris was created, the Resistance helped the english and US troops to get through the territory, as well as supplying them with additional weapons, foods, etc. When the two fronts met at Paris, De Gaule flew back to Paris immediately, and led the Resistance, which was growing exponentially because the people could see this was the end. He orchestrated the attacks with the other leaders, and greatly helped in the reconstruction of France after the war. If i'm not mistaken he was the one who agreed to the Marshall plan in the first place. He was the real leader the french people wanted. He also spared Old Pétain the death penalty for collaboration with the Nazi, war crimes, and genocide, though he spent the rest of his days in prison.

You know this was a good show but people forget about how this was actually a sequel to a show called ww1 that gets over shadowed. I mean who can’t forget tsar Nicholas II and kaiser wilhelm. And Woodrow Wilson was good even though he arrived in the last season.
