Ok, Solar is amazing but before anyone fall for this technology remember this!
1) solar system is not cheap.
2) if you are thinking about long term then keep in mind that battery doesn’t last for ever and it isn’t cheap either. And not to mention Surge (don’t trust on SPD’s) warranty isn’t easy.
3) Off-grid system will never be profitable if you calculate the cost…if you are lucky to get government subsidy then…ok it not easy to say profit in solar, since there are so many factors involved so, good luck…
4) On-grid system may be profitable but….if a) you get subsidy from government.
b) you buy everything by yourself.
c) install by your self
d) the system runs/last many years without any technical issues.
e) hopefully no natural disaster occurs. (Good luck if you think SPD’s and Grounding systems will protect the solar system)
I know, many of you guys will think about me at this point but this is my experience. And this is bitter truths about solar system in India.
