Those corn seedlings look nice green and healthy. This video is very helpful, was planting corn did not know what to do or how to start...now I know!! Thank you!😊👍
Yes, thanks for the inspiration! I decided to start my sweet corn inside this year and they are ready to go. It’ll be going in my raised beds today! I like your advise on the spacing and yes, growing my own food is definitely more healthy. I’m enjoying that too. All the best!
@@EndTimeCountryLiving Hey thanks for asking! it's coming along! My wife had earlier transplants too close together I think so I had some direct sewn more spaced out doing much better!
Hello! Were you able to get a good harvest with these transplants? Any issues with growth or healthy corn? I am growing seedlings indoors and so far so good. I just don't want the roots to ball up too badly or plant too early before the last frost here in Utah (end of April). My seedlings are between two and four inches tall now. Your feedback would be most greatly appreciated. Great channel! Thank you.
Great video! Subscribed and will check out your Facebook. Question? I planted 25 seeds in their own containers 4 days ago. I plan on planting another 50 in two days from now. Will the time gap between planting make a difference with polination down the road? Love the channel and thanks for the video!
No. If you want to leave it on the cob then husk it will cook it normally, then put the ears on a cookie sheet and freeze in the freezer. Then transfer to a bag for storage in freezer. If you want cut off cob corn, cut it off remembering to scrap the cobs with a knife at 90° to the cob to get all the corn germ off. That is where the nutrition is. Then cook and place on cookie sheets and freeze then transfer to bags for storage in freezer. Hope that helps. God bless.
I started my corn in Jiffy pods, so I need to move them into bigger seed trays because stupid frost dates are predicted for may but we get frost in june T.T
Thank you for this video, your plot is basically the same size as mine and I am so happy I can copy your spacing. I am trying to transplant my corn for the first time this year. How did this method work for you?
That's great to hear Pam. Transplanting my corn worked great. I have done it for several years that way and again this year. I get early corn doing that and no missing stocks of corn in the bed.

So happy that you were able to grow some nice corn starts. Excited for you. I pray that your crop of corn does well this year.
@@EndTimeCountryLiving Thank you SO much for the blessing!
Hi! We'll transplant our corn seedling tomorrow. I'm a new friend. I suppose we're of the same faith. 😊
Good to meet you. I pray they do well.
Great how to do corn. I’ll follow your plan this year. Really liked video style and presentation.
Ty for the reminder to cull weak plants some times I get greedy for nothing
It is kind of like thinning fruit. Hard to do but important.
Thank you very much!! We are growing alot of own like our grandparents. Appreciate your knowledge 🙏 God Bless
Glad it was helpful to you. Keep growing Dee!

Thank you very much for this video. Animals were eating my seeds so I now have a new plan
You're welcome. Hope it goes well for you.

Yes. I was able to get a good harvest from these transplants. The corn did well and was healthy. They can get up to about 6 in without an issue.
Thank you so much 💓 💗 💛
Thank you! Great advice!
Thank you for this video! We'll grow a few in the backyard
Good to know what starting corn.
Glad you enjoyed it.
great video !
How old (weeks) were your corn seedlings when you transplanted them?
They had about 6 weeks of growth. Thanks for your comment.
I love sweet corn
God bless brother!!
Very good video
Thanks. Bless you as well.
you need a earthway seeder could plant 8 times as much corn in 5 minutes
Thank you brother!
Why do the rows at 12" if you're spacing the corn 10 inches apart?
You could have the rows at 10 in if you wanted. 12" worked well for the space I was planting in.
because he don’t know how to plant corn if he did he wouldn’t be transplanting it
Great video! Thanks
Glad you liked it.
Great video I will be panting corn this year should one plant in blocks, or stagger the corn? Thank You
What do you mean by stagger? Corn does best in a square plot rather than a long row for pollination.
Thank You for responding if starting from a corn transplant how far apart should each corn transplant be space apart?
@@bill.Latham about 12" even spacing or 2 6" apart then 24" apart before the next 2.
Always plant in bloks! Corn is wind poliated!
*** Pollinated! 🤦🏼♀️

It should not matter. Corn has a pretty long pollination stage, so you should be fine. What corn variety are you planting?
@@EndTimeCountryLiving sweet corn (butter)
Enjoyed your video thanks.
How old are the starts you are transplanting?
They are about 7 weeks old.
Exactly what I needed to know!
Do you freeze the corn with the husk?

Sorry to hear that. Last year I lost a lot of my corn starts to frost. You might plan to start them a little later next year.
I live in the Desert lol, so I don't worry about frost. Just afternoon SUN!😛
Thank you, God is good
Yes indeed!
I showed my corn two seeds in the same hole. Should I cut one of the sprouts out? They're about 3 inches high.
Yes. Cut or break off the smaller of the two. You only want one corn plant per pot.
I was able to separate them and move one. So far so good. Thanks for the help.
How old were ur transplants when I planted them outside?
6-7 weeks old
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!

Sir have you had stunted short corn by transplanting. Very nice video
You might be right. I’m trying both this year so we will see.
Praise God for His provision!
nice videos
dude just plant the dam corn!!!,,,, who bothers measuring and staking rows???!!!.... use your foot to space them!!!!..... waste of time and energy
The corn does best when careful attention is given to spacing. It also build character so we are more careful in our spiritual life as well.
Wait wait wait wait wait... Is this the gardening channel for a doomsday cult? Lmao
