LordDrac made a video about how non Nerf (Milsig, Sabre, Caliburn, Lynx etc) blasters use ‘Nerf’ (foam darts) but should be called something else, he doesn’t like ‘Dartsoft’ as it’s too close to ‘Airsoft’, I like calling it ‘Foam Tag’ as they are foam tag blasters or ‘Dart Tag’
@@JamesSmith-pn3yq I feel like "Foam Tag" better describes the hobby as a whole than "Nerf" does, Dartsoft definitely sounds more clear on what this is, but I can see that being problematic if Airsoft is a trademark.
Was fortunate enough to be able to use this at a previous event, C02 stock. While having one or two moments of cycling issues, it performed very well overall. Very accurate, very very fun to use, I would say this thing is a great buy if you can afford it!
Considering it would take forever with a hand pump even if you found one graded for 800psi+ tanks, I prefer to pay the $2-4 dollars to get my tanks refilled at the local paintball or scuba shop.
You can get 3D-printed plastic HPA blasters, but the full metal is more durable. If you're interested in a plastic one, you can check them out here: www.frontlinefoam.com/product-category/hpa-high-pressure-air/
Man, I really want one of these, but if I get one, it will make my whole arsenal, (including a Caliburn, Lynx, Auto Stryfe) and any other high-power nerf gun look like trash in comparison, which I don't want to experience.
well not entirely because this is hpa and you could litteraly kill someone whereas the caliburn is sprng powered and youll only put them in the hospital.
@@joekerr4273 yeah idk man, my 300 fps calibrun isnt joking around, with normal darts ive punched holes straight through half inch foamcore board, and dont even get me started on custom printed slugs or other projectiles (I would never load one of these into the caliburn,) but thumbtack darts are like home defense level
I mean, The nexus pro still can compete with this cause of availability, cost, how it’s so modable and how it feeds literally all main steam ammo types
I've never used CO2, why is it your favorite. I would have thought the limited capacity of the CO2, cannisters would have made it the least preferable.
The cannisters must be 16 gram CO2 canisters, non-threaded if you're using the M79 CO2 stock option. More details about each stock option here: www.frontlinefoam.com/m79-stock-options/
Spectre did indeed say there were some consistency issues, however the issues he mentioned weren't super terrible. Regardless, I, too have seen some inconsistency issues, and have been working with MILSIG on them. They reassured us the most recent M79 model that customers will be receiving will not have those issues. MILSIG is also sending us another sample of M79s that they say will have fixed the issue. We will keep you updated.
Awesome.. this is going to make foam blasters illegal in Australia. I dont want anything "mil" in the Nerf/ foam blaster hobby because it means it will be outlawed in Australia faster than you can say Vegemite

Thanks for being the first American I have seen to review it properly.
I like that one blaster too.
Bruh, that ain't Nerf anymore, it's Dartsoft.

At this level, it is more like airsoft then what people would call "nerf".

if you made this so it's compatible with some airsoft stuff like handguards maybe outer barrels (probably not) maybe grips ect would be EPIC

I'm glad you enjoyed using the M79! I agree, it's a very fun blaster with great performance! Thanks for the positive feedback!
For the average penny pincher, what are your thoughts on HPA hand pumps? I'd like to keep tank refilling as easy as possible between testing periods.
Considering it would take forever with a hand pump even if you found one graded for 800psi+ tanks, I prefer to pay the $2-4 dollars to get my tanks refilled at the local paintball or scuba shop.
There is a bike pump style hpa pump, look up defcon paintball's video on it
The gun appears to have a metal build, will you make one with plastic instead? As it would be cheaper

Would have been nice to get info on the mags and ammo.
Just takes normal talon mags and worker short darts or adventure force pro darts

BTW just letting people know these are illegal in the UK as they are classed as fully automatic air rifles

Is there an option for semi auto only?
Noice 😲 thanks for review! Would love to see some bradley-style accuracy testing on these guys with common scar barrels.
Yes, we've got some of that in the works, as well as adapting the M79 to take different barrels as well.
Can this take M17 Milsig handguards?
Are there any plans to make a hpa/co2 semi auto blaster that shoots rival bullets? I'd really prefer to use rival magazines.
Are they picitqnny rails?
What’s the FPS with CO2???
150 to 400 fps
