Everything Crazy Tube Circuits does is fantastic! I need more of their stuff! Their Cyclone Phaser is one I will never let go (I kinda have a thing for phasers lol)! Another good one guys!
Thanks, we are interested in the White Whale Reverb/Tremolo pedal they have. This was our first experience, but we are definitely hoping to check out more in the future.
@@PJandtheBeard I haven't used that one, but the Anasounds Le Bon Element should definitely be on your list for spring reverbs as well! Everything from "normal" spring reverb to odd but cool things with the 3 tanks. As far as Crazy Tube Circuits, if you haven't tried the Cyclone Phaser, you're really missing out. I have a bit of a "thing" for phasers in general, and the Cyclone is the best sounding and most flexible I've come across. I keep buying more phasers just because.... it's what I do (Warm Audio Jet Phaser showed up last week lol it's sweet!), but the Cyclone should be all you'll ever need for those without serious GAS issues. :)
@@ezm69 Anasounds tremolo pedal looks great too. Another one we want to add to the tremolo series. So many great pedals. The cyclone phaser looks awesome as well. We haven’t gone down the phaser rabbit hole yet. You never know what the next series may be. Series = the ultimate G.A.S. relief.
How are you guys able to do so many reviews, did ya'll find a secret stash of pedals in the woods? lol This sounds like a very cool pedal. Great video as always. Cheers
CtC make a lot of outstanding pedals, but I think of all the solid Fender Tweed styles going, - Catalinbread, Lovepedal, and even the venerable Hudson Broadcast, which does well despite other intentions, - the Falcon covers it the best.Usually, amp style pedals are too inherently gainy and compressed, but this sounds dead on, to my ear.The amp and cabs are going to matter of course, - I'm not sure how this would be into a Vox, or a high gain, - but most anything else ? Yeah.Nice.
@@PJandtheBeard Check out the Limelight if you get the chance; it's a hybrid Fuzz/ Drive that walks a fairly uniquely useable path. The Constellation is also cool, but I think they had to make some compromises to cram so much in one pedal.
That surprises me a bit. I love this pedal and have never really been a big fan of tube screamers. Just out of curiosity, are you using it with a tube or solid state amp? -Beard
Hello Beard. No to both questions. I was using my 20 watt Marshall. Plugged straight into the pedal then into the amp. In the regular gain channel I get just a little breakup.Keep the drive down on the tube screamer as well as the internal trim on the compressor pedal. With the tele I back off the treble on the amp but leave it with the LP. It’s not that it sucked. But of coarse tone is all relative and changes from gear to gear. Even gig to gig at times. Keep up the good work. Enjoy watching!!
@@GTRalso does the Marshall have tubes? Only ask because I wonder if the sag I like so much from this pedal would be the same without tubes? I typically run it into an 22 or 30 watt amp on the clean channel running the volume high enough to start pushing it a bit. Totally different flavor from my other overdrives. That’s why I like it though. I bet it would react differently in that set up though. Thanks for watching and glad you enjoy it! We have a blast fooling around with the channel. Good excuse to try and bunch of different stuff!
Thank you guys for such magnificent review!!! Loved it!
You’re very welcome. Wonderful pedal! We would love to include the White Whale in the next round of tremolo pedals we add to our tremolo series too.

Oh, almost forgot, check out the Stoned HZ as well from Crazy Tube Circuits! I don't have one yet but it's high up on my lust list. :)
@@ezm69 that and the Deranged pedal both look like great fun.

I wish. I wondered the same thing about you. lol. We may have to trade secretes.
Great content keep it up
Thanks Carter, appreciate the comment!
The sag of this pedal is amazing.
Great pedal. It has become a staple on my board. Along with the speaker cranker and direct drive. Love my drive section now.
Have you gotten a chance to compare this to a Catalinbread Formula 55 or a Greer Tomahawk?
We have not. I will check them out though for sure. If the opportunity arises we will certainly do it.

Agreed, it is a great pedal. Hasn't left my board since making this video. It ended up being the overdrive I didn't know I needed! -Beard

Just got it. Overrated!! Pretty much get the same tones using my tube screamer & custom comp. Just a matter of adjustments.

To be clear.. I was using the pedal by itself. The settings I mentioned are just how I get similar tone.
