Before I heard of Impact Theory, I read Jesse Itzler's book, "Living with a Seal," which lead me to discover David Goggins, which lead me to see the Goggins interview with Tom, which lead me to discover Impact Theory, which lead me to watching this interview right now. Full circle. I have been hugely impacted by all of this content. THANK YOU!
My 40's have been so freshly liberating, much like my teen years, I have nothing to lose and everything to gain. I love living fully alive, knowing death comes to us all.
I have a kind of contempt for people who don't know that plurals are not apostrophed. They seem kinda arrogant and presumptuous and stupid. I guess I'll have to work on that perception
I have watched all your interviews and your motivational videos. I started watching this one with a negative outlook. Yet it might end up being the one with the most impact. I turned 56 on May 6th and for the first time, I started thinking about my time left. Not depressive, but reality. Jess put things in perspective for me. Thanks Tom
John, I think for all of us in our 50's (I'm currently 51), this episode hit home. I've watched this again and again. I keep that term "enhancing my life resume" in my head daily. I'm cognizant daily that my time is limited to do what I need to in order to still have the capacity to enjoy life and make an impact. Awesome interview!
I am 55 and my current position in life (financially shall we say) is..... well, honestly, there isn't a word to describe it. In one sense, it has energised me not to waste a second longer, but in another sense, who am I compared to this clever dude who started young with some much balls and knowledge, wisdom etc etc etc....... I was always ambitious in my early years, now I feel like I do not have a second to waste. I seriously want to be wealthy, I want that on my Life Resume, not for any other reason, than for it to be like a Grade I achieved at College, University, etc. With Distinction.
I didn’t know my life was gonna change before watching even half this video. I wasn’t even gonna watch this video, thank god I did. A lot of videos juice me up, they make you feel excited, this one changed my life, this one has moved me. Now I have the very real image in my mind that I have 8 summers left before I’m 40. Before today, it was whatever happens happens,. After today, I’m gonna do what I want, then I’ll adapt to what happens after. Thank you for this, because tomorrow will no longer be the same.
Watched this video in the car driving to apply for the job. Saw the founder at the parking. Asked him for five minutes talk. Got the job! Thanks Impact Theory @tom..
This man is the epitome of what it means to *shoot your shot* (and win) !! I really enjoyed this episode. Jesse's wisdom and Tom's fantastic ability to interview in such an impactful way are both very admirable
I've found many parts of the interview very interesting, but the one I felt very connected with is when he got to the monastery and he tried to meditate the first hour. A few days ago I was working on a leather bag I was making when suddenly I realized that success for me was not the money or any other material things, but how I am when I'm by myself. If I can just sit and experience the greatness of life doing "no-thing", then I consider in my own view that I'm super successful. Sorry if it doesn't make a lot of sence, I just wanted to share the way I'm experiencing it. Thanks again Tom and team for your amazing work
I know now this is something we realize at some point in our lives depending on our own individual development when I was your age I knew this intuitively, but I guess I let my ego take control without me knowing. Now I'm 41and still learning about life and my own self. Life plays a very funny game with us and I can tell you in my experience is all about a combination of action and patience
It's working out very well, thanks for asking. Is the foundation of my wellbeing. If can be and feel wonderful just by myself then everything else is just extra, cheers
the part about the german shepherd's hyper-focus was so inspiring. obviously i was quiet because i was watching this, but that part made me put my head down as i got meditative quiet. as an adhd-er that hit me hard and encouraged me to stop being so hard on myself, and to instead remember the point i'm trying to get to. distractions are supposed to distract, but i have the option to keep moving towards what i want with the right kind of training. great interview.
This guy has the key to creating leads. Write letters, buy the market up so you are the main source, go to places you know your audience is at, never say no to yourself because you can make things possible with ambition. Embarrassment is something that happens, but it shouldn't stop you.
Incredible talk. Being 23 it is amazing to hear the discussion on urgency and time eventually running out. Thank you so much for making and uploading this.
you can't fall in space but yes there is now stars between the moon and earth i guess you should ame to be limitless when you believe and become limitless in mind and spirit you will be truly happy
@first name, but you look at these interviews right? Im only 5 min in and seeing that one thing leads to the next..Even tho his steps seem just like out of a movie but we all are on some kind of track towards the future... I checked your channel and you got some nice music there, and some brainstuff which is to much for me... Just as your comment gets result, small steps do also... I think shooting for the stars is ´shooting higher than average´ so even when you fall back to earth your journy was way better than the others that said ´lemme try this´.... I barely shoot at all but do try to take little steps... I hope you are fine and keep on going, and believing your path will make sence in the future... cause it will
The beauty of this message is that it rekindles your thoughts about life, time and how precious they both are. Thank you Jesse for sharing. After a recent, unexpected family passing LIFE has been a very difficult subject... pondering one's soul of why we choose to be away from the ones we love to follow our dreams or stubbornness... without the guarantee that we or our loved ones will even make it through the night. This truly rekindled a spark to create a bigger sense of urgency and more memorable moments in what time we pray we have left... and for that I am very grateful. I don't claim any labels/religions... but right now I'm reading multiple books, the Life of a Yogi, a few others and the Bible... and the scripture John 5:24 allows a little more pondering on this topic if one may be interested.
Tom thank you for your efforts. You're so incredibly thorough, the depth of research you go into before hand, the quality of questioning, even the layout of the description. I can only thank you.
Man, I think Jesse Itzler got reborned when he hit 50 years old. Different than the interviews I've seen him but he definitely grew wiser. Great interview as always Tom!
The bit where he breaks down the idea of seeing your parents a few times a year, now imagine you will see them only 16 more times, really really affected me. Not directly in reference to my own parents as they are long gone and I've mourned the loss, but as a way to think about my time left with the people who are alive now. I'm not old but will be someday, God willing and I felt like I've not used the time I've been given so far, wisely, and so many things I still want to do and see. Shit this video gave me a lump in my throat I can't swallow. It's what I needed to hear. Thank you for this content.
Jesse Itzler: The achievements you've made in the past 25 years are unparalleled, exceptional & motivating like nothing else. Beside the financial success & the athletic lifestyle success... you've started impacting literally millions of lives by sharing your experiences... just introducing David Goggins to the world to learn from was a lifetime achievement, your book "living with a seal" was a lifetime achievement... and you have hundreds of other achievements that successful people can't get in their lifetime PLEASE: Don't make your previous success and achievements to be the reason for you fear in your next 25 years... hope you can do so many 25 years in good health, happiness and success!
I love how this show asks these hugely successful guys "what is the impact you want to have on the world" and often it seems to stop them for a short pause maybe with guilt and realization.. they recognize their accomplishments have been their life not the strengthening of humanity itself. I guess the main point of the show is how to improve ones self but to ask these incredible men this question is so important. It is truly amazing what can be accomplished in one life time. I look forward to watching more of "impact theory", would love to see more interviews with people who have cultured positive changes in themselves and improved society for all. Thanks so much for this show and asking that question. When one rises up we all rise up.
Impact Theory and people wonder why mere little presents 😕 just countless little reasons I noticed of people and I will always be thankful of access no matter what went wrong no one owes me nothing just kind trust
"The passion is around the process as well as the product and what you're doing. People often neglect the process, but you can't shortcut it and if that's what you've signed up for you have to respect it." That was the biggest takeaway for me!
Jesse Itzler is the realest. I can see how he has gotten so far. He really appreciates people and means it. Learned so much from this interview. Thankyou.
"I'll take all your muffins." BRILLIANT. This guy's critical thinking skills are bonkers. I'm teaching the muffin parable to my kid when I get home tonight.
Tom, I just subscribed after lurking on several of your videos for a while now. I have to say that you are one of the BEST interviewers I have ever encountered. I love that you ask questions that I never even thought (which is rare) of and find myself extremely interested in the answers from many people that I never even knew about. It's very inspirational stuff and new veins of information. Thank you! I may not have the people successful people that I need in my circle, but your channel makes it as close to possible as that can be right now.
He ran like 100 miles in a day and challenges himself therefore becoming a billionaire was no longer a challenge to him, so powerful. Grateful to know people like this
Tom!!!! Brother, do you do just regular talks? Every episode I have caught has been excellent. You set a high bar my friend. Thank you for your constant contribution to making us all more conscious of what is possible, the excellence that sometimes lies dormant within us.
I stopped at 18:44 to write a thank you note to Tom. Thank you for introducing to me an amazing person. If not for you I would never know who he is and his amazing life philosophy. He seems authentic, cheerful, smart, and really wise. I learned a lot from his wisdom.
One of the most profound interviews I've consumed. Thank you Tom for what you're creating for us and thank you Jesse for sharing your experience and perspective. GRATEFUL for you both!
Tom, I love the way you interview. Always knowledgable on your guests, you ACTUALLY listen, and you give a shit. Love everything you're doing and keep up the great work.
Tom. ...Finding your channel has had a profoundly positive impact in an abundace of aspects of my life. Your collective selection of guests is phenomenal.
Great Interview And Take Aways As I'm 50 Years Old, Grateful For All I Have And My Family, But Still Pursuing The Journey To Make A Positive Impact! I Want To Compress Time In Certain Ways And Slow It Down In Other Ways For People, Escape The Matrix And Compose A Better Way Forward! Thanks, Tom 🎸😎🍷✌️🌴🙏
He cracks me up, love his personality 100% key to life stay creative & curious! Never stop connecting or learning, grow as a person as much as you can!
There were moments where I, as an observer, could feel you soaking in the words from Jesse. Your innate ability to be such an active listener is something I strive for. Thank you for showing how to conduct another great interview.
I hesitated to watch this video. But im so damn glad i did. I would love for Jesse to be my mentor. He has everything i want. Mentally, spiritually and physically. So mamy leasons to be learned from him. Its amazing.
This goes to show here it is over a year older and this is so impactful and soooo well needed thank you impact theory for continuing to make us be a better wiser human race!!!!
Wow - a genuine guy and legit inspiration. I can relate to his monastery experience and trying to clear away the distractions. Thanks, Tom. One of your best interviews.
Jesse always makes me speechless He can live the absolute most luxurious life in this life, however he lives his life as a roll model, motivator, inspiration to below average human beings like me. Knowing that Jesse is at least 200 times richer than the richest person I’ve ever me, however, I feel like he’s a friend that I know in person for years with his strange modesty and being that down to earth.... this beautiful human being is forcing me to stay out of my comfort zone (for my own good) and I wish if I can thank him.
I just turn 50 myself. I celebrated it in a wonderful trip to Iceland, it was a very special trip for many reasons. I noticed the same feeling Jesse has since he turned 50, but I couldn't pin point what was exactly the reason of the new passion and excitement about life. Grateful and blessed.
Tom, you're style of interviewing you're gusts is incredible. Thank you so much for you're for you're efforts, I'm so grateful that's I found out about you ✌😁😊
Wonderful interview and guest. Being so grounded and realistic and full of common sense, what a powerful tonic for these narcissistic and delusional times emanates Mr. Itzler. He sounds and looks and FEELS authentic and honest. Thank you for bringing this to the public Mr. Bilyeu.
Tom Bilyeu, your guests are amazing but what you bring out of them with your questioning is everything. Loving what your doing and I'm excited to see who your going to introduce me to next!
"Being an entrepreneur is lonely" No truer words have blessed my ears today. This resonated to my core. I love all your interviews, and this one is def up there in my faves and I haven't even finished yet. Ok going back to the interview now!
Tom Bilyeu - You are a MASTER at interviewing! I don't know how you do it, but I absolutely love it. Jesse Itzler - I am so impressed with you and your thought process!
Stand out interview and guest., Tom. Haven’t checked in for a while but great as ever. As a 52 year old, the “28 Summers” point was a powerful takeaway. Keep up the great work 😀👍
Listened to the Book on Audible...absolutely worth the listen. Nice to hear him speak about some of this in person. Also, if you haven’t read/listened to his other Book, ‘Living with SEAL’, I HIGHLY recommend it. 💥👊🏻💥
Powerful powerful POWERFUL! The last segment about remaining summers and time with parents was especially gripping. Time is SO damn valuable...thanks for this!
Its pretty amazing all the guests you continue to bring onto the show, and the varied fields they operate in. Its helping me develop further the abundance mindset. Like Bedros said last week, there is a problem out there only you can solve, there is plenty of success potential to find in the world. One just has to be willing to put in the work and grow through the screw ups. Another great interview, thanks!
Feels good to know that everything Jesse said is in tune with my mindset and way of life. He not only spoke about it, but showed the world as he changed the perception of reality for many people. Thank you for the interview Tom! Thanks for the experience Jesse!
I truly believe that we can do whatever we put our minds to do. Nothing is impossible to those who believe and have the faith that the whole universe will surrender your dreams to you, never give up and just keep shooting for the moon, even if you miss you will land amongst the stars.
Finally!! I had to insert ‘Living with a Seal’ into your reading list, after watching Goggins! All the books you recommend have been super impactful! Thank you and keep it up!
Dude.. That's fuckin' HUGE! As men, we don't know what we're feeling. 2017 was a huge year for me in learning about relationships. One of the biggest things I learned was women experience life through the emotion attached to the fact, And men experience life through JUST the fact(s).
This is so important and people need to know that it is okay to aim high and not fear about how you look or not accomplish in the mean time. Thank you for recognizing that being fearless allows you to aim for new challenges and not hold you back in life to be able to live full out.
If you read comments first. Had never heard of Jessee Itzler before this interview. Almost didn't listen after 10 min.. Unusually surprised, especially good advice for those really trying to reach a goal and put life into perspective. was worth listening through. Thank you Jessee Itzler and Tom Bilyeu
Tom, this is the BEST thing I’ve ever listened to!! The questions you asked and Jesse’s take on life is incredible!! As an entrepreneur out to help as many people, animals, and as much nature as possible, I am truly inspired! THANK YOU BOTH!! ❤❤❤
Amazing very good interview. I fast for 24 hours or longer water fasting every 1 of the month in 2023 .amazing experience truly life changing. all free highly recommend.
Just had to stop at 18:55, not to bookmark something said, but to say that this is easily one of the best and most genuine interviews between 2 people I've ever seen or heard. I dont know if it's cause Itzler is just my fav kind of person. (eccentric). Or what. This is first I think I've heard of him but I'm sold. 🙏🏾
dude i just found out this guy, wtf leaves me speechless he looks at things differently than i ever heard of... it is very inspiring to hear all of this he is amazing person just what i needed to hear
This was one of your best Tom. I like the emotional restraint you maintained throughout the interview. It allowed Jesse to be more of the focus. IT is an incredible boost mate. Thank you.
Something that he said that many people may not have grabbed onto that I wrote down as soon as I heard it was, reagrding distractions in life, "Whatever your goal is, you have to get there, you have to get the porkchop". My new mantra... You have to get the Porkchop!
Awesome interview! Really loved hearing Jesse's excitement and passion for life. Also fun hearing his stories. Thank you for taking the time to do this and publish this Tom!
The monastery experience can be tried in a minimized way by spending a shift at the library when you need to produce results. Always better than staying home...
The part about visiting your parents is particularly impactful. That's why I make time with my parents frequently enough that I don't regret not spending time when I had it.
Dillon, I wish everyone had your mindset. That's exactly what saved me when my Mom recently passed. I can't even imagine if I was on my phone or not focused on talking with her on my last visit. Please continue what you're doing. It will serve you well when that fateful day finally arrives.
This is still one of my most watched episodes of Impact Theory. What a legend Jesse is! If I ever need it, I get reminded that there is ALWAYS a way. Always. And, that time should be spent deliberately. Thanks again for this fantastic episode, I hope there will be more with Jesse in the future 🤩 (*This is also often the first episode I show to people when introducing them to IT. And it works)
Beautiful episode as always! One take away for me was to keep moving forward regardless of obstacles. And the thing that most successful people do, is work on their mindset because that creates action and momentum.
all this inspiring content, Tom - thank you for making this so accessible to us for free. I've binge watched so much of your videos now and regard them as a daily resource to keep me motivated. They encourage me to grow more rapidly as a person.
I saw a lot of myself in Jesse Itzler and that really excites me! I was genuinely on the edge of my seat listening to this video because I instantly related to Jesse. We share a lot of the same qualities!
Jesse ............... Your muffin story is insane !! Love that determination to do something to make it work !! Tells me a lot about how much can i do further for my goals in mind !! THANK YOU.... as always....... Thank you TOM ......... you're the man..... !
The biggest lesson from this episode for me is once you get over the fear of being embarrassed by your failure, you are liberated to give 100% to your goal. I have to learn to be embarrassed without the negative consequences like eating comfort food to console myself or being scared to make start again tomorrow. Sort of like when you come to the beach in the morning and the water is still cold and you stand in the water forever instead of just jumping in. Because after the initial shock you realise that the water is not so cold after all and when your body adjust to the temperature you don't even want to get out. So it is the question of becoming antifragile towards being embarrassed and I would be really grateful, Tom, if your AMA you can give some tips about the process of it. Thank you!
Most impactful episode of Impact Theory I have seen so far. Loved Jesse's explanation of how we should view time, that we should get experiences as far reaching as possible, even though there is a lot of risk involved and there will be naysayers. Also got a great insight into how relationships, not just romantic relationships, should work- each person should build the other up and be their biggest cheerleader.
Thanks Tom, for bringing for us a great interview. Jessie perspective of seeing the other side of timing (remaining) for doing Worthful things in life is very impactful on me.
This man clearly did not start from zero. For me the takeaway is that even with the connections he had, he WAS being told no. Head start/silver spoon or not he kept pushing and took responsibility for his life. Nobody has it easy out here. The tenacity is the difference!! Awesome interview.
Wow... such a great interview!! There are so many strong takeaways from empowering yourself, maximizing the time you have left to make an impact. I too am 50, and time is limited. Jessie’s point about frequency of seeing other loved ones hits home... Making an effort to live in the moment with gratitude and appreciation is so important. Great interview !!! Before this I hadn’t realized you co-founded Quest, a brand that I like very much. I know first hand much of what you went through building a bar/nutrition brand since back in the day I had built the fastest growing low carb bar in the US. Our goals were different crush Atkins Nutritionals versus yourself starting from a place of core values and inner desire to really help others and not making compromises. Great videos.. love em... Thanks for doing what you do...:)!!!!
Before I heard of Impact Theory, I read Jesse Itzler's book, "Living with a Seal," which lead me to discover David Goggins, which lead me to see the Goggins interview with Tom, which lead me to discover Impact Theory, which lead me to watching this interview right now. I agree! Tom lead me to David Goggins and David changed my mindset in one video.
Yooooo, same. I didn't even realize that till you said it.
Same exact cycle for me. But before the book, it was the appearances of Goggins and Itzler on JRE that lead me to buy the book
Goggins got to me.
I had the EXACT same path
"How many more summers do you have?" I love his philosophy on life and not giving a hell what people think cause they wont be here in 100 years anyway

good for you, simply reading that inspired me! hope you have been loving your life!

Damn if you think of it that way i have 8 summers until im 50 but kind of a depressing way to think!

That's actually a Les Brown quote that Peale used to end his speeches.
I never understood that, as there isn't a star to fall back on between the moon and earth.

I look forward to watching more of "impact theory", would love to see more interviews with people who have cultured positive changes in themselves and improved society for all. Thanks so much for this show and asking that question. When one rises up we all rise up.
Tom - you are the best when it comes to introducing your guests!
Snow mass and always excellent questions too!
I love how he listens to his guests.

"The passion is around the process as well as the product and what you're doing. People often neglect the process, but you can't shortcut it and if that's what you've signed up for you have to respect it." That was the biggest takeaway for me!
very true
Jesse Itzler is the realest. I can see how he has gotten so far. He really appreciates people and means it. Learned so much from this interview. Thankyou.
"I'll take all your muffins." BRILLIANT. This guy's critical thinking skills are bonkers. I'm teaching the muffin parable to my kid when I get home tonight.
Maya M Well, he did get over 900 on his test......
$2 × 80 = $160. Wake up.....
His words about being aware of ones mortality hit HARD and much needed! BEST interview everrrr
It doesn’t matter what people think Alejandra! No one will be around in a 100 years that you might encounter now! Woooooo! Face your fears!
THis is absolutely incredible. Jesse Itzler is just fascinating, and Tom just asks the perfect questions. Extremely Valuable.
I stopped at 18:44 to write a thank you note to Tom.
Thank you for introducing to me an amazing person. If not for you I would never know who he is and his amazing life philosophy.
He seems authentic, cheerful, smart, and really wise. I learned a lot from his wisdom.
Wow.... Time.... No better motivator than the realization that time is fading away. Thanks for the video once again.
Thanks for bringing Jesse to this programme.Humble man with great attitude on life.Inspirational
The perspective he's talking about gave me chills. Thanks for the interview!
Right at three years later and I’m finding it at just the right time 😄
Wow - a genuine guy and legit inspiration. I can relate to his monastery experience and trying to clear away the distractions. Thanks, Tom. One of your best interviews.
I just love this guy, what an inspirational human being
His story verify my belief that the most important thing for success is surround yourself with the right people.
Jesse always makes me speechless
He can live the absolute most luxurious life in this life, however he lives his life as a roll model, motivator, inspiration to below average human beings like me.
Mohamed Abdelkarim role **
Agreed!
Write him a thank you letter man. And never consider yourself below average
I don't know you, but you are NOT below average. Don't sell yourself short. You are average. LOL. I kid. Seriously; believe in yourself.
Gr8 Interview!!! ThankYou
I consider Impact Theory as a gift from god. Thank you Tom, thank you so much.
💥👊🏻💥
I just bought it myself - is it Jesse reading it ?
Friggin love his inspo. I'm here because of tiktok I had no idea who he was. Amazing
I just dove into this channel a couple months ago. Thank you for this... I LOVE Jesse's message and will now be diving into his work.
This guy is an incredible interviewer. Very articulate and thorough.
Tom... So glad that you exist, thank you for all that you bring and the Impact that you're making.
The monastery experience can be tried in a minimized way by spending a shift at the library when you need to produce results. Always better than staying home...
The advice on networking and sending letters of appreciation is so fascinating. It’s so simple and extremely impactful. Amazing interview.
"Experience takes too long."
And then he turns around and says he learns better through experience instead of only reading books...lol I love this guy
Experience meaning having had a bunch of practice
Love this. Many will start -try and stop. That's the difference. He has an idea, goes for it and doesn't stop until he makes it.
That was beyond awesome... I told my grand-daughter I'd pay her $30 to do a book report on this video touching on every key point Jesse made.
This is by far, the most inspirational interview I’ve ever watched. Thank you!
This is probably one of the most interesting characters I’ve seen on any interview, anywhere...
Love him, not too proud to say I need him to have his own channel!
Love Jesse itzler . He’s a good spokesperson . His stories are amazing..
Jesse was awesome. My favorite guest of all time. Truly authentic.
all this inspiring content, Tom - thank you for making this so accessible to us for free.
So grateful I discovered the Impact Theory this guy interviews the best of the best. Thank you.
I was gonna listen for a few minutes in the shower. Ended up ditching my entire morning routine. "28 summers" hit home hard.
This man clearly did not start from zero. For me the takeaway is that even with the connections he had, he WAS being told no. Head start/silver spoon or not he kept pushing and took responsibility for his life. Nobody has it easy out here. The tenacity is the difference!! Awesome interview.
Excellent interview. "Twenty-eight summers left" really has opened my eyes. Wow.
Fantastic clarity of speech and target setting
Wow... such a great interview!!
