    Matt,
    Each piece of work that you do gives me a peaceful feeling while being educated and carried back, by your amazing presentation, to the time and life of these people.
    Thankyou, as always.

    Thanks again Matt!!! 👍 Another spectacular video.
    I visited the Huntington Library as a young teenager. One day is NOT enough time there. You have brought back some special memories for me. 💚

      You're so right, one day is not enough. I've been there many times, and I always find something new with each visit. It just so happened on the day I went to make this video, the art galleries were all closed. I had to resort to using photos I've taken in years past. Oh well. Thank you as always for your very kind words.

    Magnificent! Somehow, I missed this when you produced it, but like finding a long lost treasure, it gave me great pleasure to discover it. So peaceful, so artistic, it does homage to the Huntingtons and their incredible achievements. Your video could well and should become part of the collection of artistry in this Library. Brave, Matt! Bravo!

    I love your documentaries, Matt! I did a short vlog of the Huntington earlier in the year and I know how much time it took me just to create my visit. I can't even imagine the number of hours you put into yours. Very impressive. Are you a professional filmmaker by profession?

    • @graveexplorations

      Famous Final Resting Places Thank you! I had an idea to make a video of the Huntington’s when I visited San Gabriel Cemetery... but it was the excellent vlog you made here that got me to finally do it. 😊

      Even though we visit some of the same places, our styles are so different that there's not much duplication. I visited Laurel and Hardy's grave sites a year or two ago, but never uploaded a video because you did such an excellent job and so many other UA-camrs have also visited them, but I realized that my visit is very different than yours and the others so I'm going to go ahead and upload it next week. It would be weird for a channel like mine to exclude them, even if I am the last one to the party :-) Look forward to your next video!

    • @graveexplorations
      @graveexplorations  6 років тому +5

      Please do upload your Laurel and Hardy video, there will never be too many of them. If ever there was a classic comedy act that deserves to be remembered it's them.

      So true. It was really nice to see how much you think of them in your video.

    I grew up going to this library. And it is this library that my cousin has the Karpeles Manuscript museums around the nation. Pinky and Blue Boy hung in our house because of this museum. But for some reason I don't remember the tomb. Thank you for the time you have spent on our channel. It is much appreciated my friend.

    Love the history, behind all your videos. Thank you so much. They are all excellent !Such A labor of love, by you. ❤ This place is beautiful and so.peaceful. Established in 1919, the year of my mother's birth.Who would have thought it was at one time a private residence of Mr & Mrs. Huntigton( what insight Henry had about California). Guttenberg Bible, the plays of Sakesphere.& the Cantabury Tales, are housed there, very beautiful Thomas Gainsborough painting of Blue Boy. What extrodonary works of Art , literature and the botanical gardens are gorgeous. an amazing beautiful place.. and such a wonderful gift, they have given to people. All of the exhibits are wonderful..And the info on George Patton Sr. didn't realise he was buried here, I love the quotes of his Son,General George Patton. A hard but fair man ! Arabella was quite the lady. Very wealthy, and quite an intelligent lady. You always provide great tours of places and history that some of us could , or never will be able to visit & see otherwise. The works of Andy Worhol naturally have been added, since then .Do they frequently add to this collection? The $ 728,000 that Mr. Huntington paid for one painting, of Blue Boy, then, would be worth, how much today ? The old saying is , it takes money, to make money. I wonder how many people, who were truly poor, ended up being millionaires? This was, and is the land of opportunity so, thats why people have always loved America!

    The Huntington, Frick & Carnegie's of the world with their vast wealth made by the sweat of men, leave all these great places for the public awe. When none of them gave a Rats Ass about the livelihood of their employee's at the time of their lives...and so it continues today with the Walton and Bezos's families and others. Capitalization sucks.
