Probably will delete the beep for sure but what should folks do when the drone crashes and the flip error pops up? Is there another way to get rid of it without taking the battery out to do a hard reset ?
@@How-to-by-Lou if "FLIP OVER AFTER CRASH" switch is deleted, the flip error issuse would not happen. The propeller of pavo pico is super fragile, it might be broken once do flip over.

I am so frustrated, everything works on my Pavo except the throttle! Ive spent weeks on this thing. Bought the Controller from Beta Flight along with the Pavo just so it would all work. No throttle?

This was how I did it. Using Betaflight configurator 10.9 1. Go to fimware flasher 2. Select BETAFPVF405, fimware version: 4.4.2 [01-Jun-2023], enable full chip erase (load fimware[online] (the website has cli 4.4.1) 3. Select SBUS for your radio protocol. Unsure if (CRSF,GHST,SBUS) might work. 4. Flash Firmware Ports Enable UART4 for configuration/MSP (enable VTX(MSP + Display Port)) for UART 4 only & UART 5 for Serial Rx (Save & Reboot) Receiver should by default be selected to Serial UART and provider SBUS. When I was flying in an area that was not an open field it crashed and the gps told me how far away it was in the woods from where I was standing. This was when I had zero control and was learning to fly in manual mode. Now with the new rates I have much more control and less crashing, still doing repairs but not like before..
I had a "XF Nano 50" soldered to my FC Second batch in my pavo pico. Was not ordered like that but OK. Watched all your videos (and many others). BUT I can't get the DJI Controller (UART5) to send anything in Betaflight, respectively the FC to read the Data. I'm going slightly mad...I would be thrilled if someone has a solution. I checked the text: It reads....The second batch FC starts in August 2023. And If you use the F4 2-3S 20A AIO FC V1, the serial port of the SBUS receiver is UART5 while F4 1S 12A AIO Brushless FC V3 is UART6.
try in beta flight: Ports UART 4 = Configuration MSP = on UART 4 = peripherals = VTX (MSP Display Port) = on UART 5 = Serial RX = on Receiver Receiver/Serial Receiver Provider = SBUS If the above settings for 4 don't work try using UART 3 instead. But UART 3 is off on the version 1 of the the pavo pico Also make sure SBUS is selected in the settings.
From the bottom of their page: If you fly with the DJI controller and want to turn off the internal ELRS receiver on the board. Please reflash RX firmware, close the auto_WIFI_on_interval option, and select UART5. betafpv.com/products/pavo-pico-brushless-whoop

Thanks - glad this helped... Feel the same way too. You're right though, it's an excellent beginner drone, and it's pretty resilient when it crashes too. It also serves as great foundation when it comes to a learning platform on basic repairs, upgrades and understanding BetaFlight better. Once you learn to fly this drone really well and repair it, those skills will be totally transferable to any FPV drone when you decide to upgrade, because there won't be any Care Refresh for the next FPV drone unless DJI comes out with something similar which would be really interesting.

You actually need the remote controller 2 so you can put it into manual mode. Hopefully this will help explain things better...

In Betaflight Modes setting, I suggest to delete BEEPER and FLIP OVER AFTER CRASH. These two items are useless on pavo pico.

why do you have a heavy GPS on this? how far you gonna fly thing thing in 3mins?
