Meet the people and the gear used to produce Peter Gabriel's classic tune, including the producer, engineer and session musicians. The video lists the musicians in the order in which they are customarily recorded in pop and rock: drums and bass; then horns, keyboards and guitars; and finally lead and backing vocals.

Around this time Tony played the Chapman Stick, I thought on Sledgehammer too, but fretless bass played with a pick is more like it

It wasn't the CMI. That shakuhachi patch comes stock with the Emu Systems Emulator II.
