- There tunes do not work. And they will not refund your money. I sent the chip back 3 times to get it re tuned. It barely allowed my engine to run and killed it when giving gas.
I finally got the chip tuned this year by a local with a laptop setup. Didn't need a full dyno. Runs awesome now. Completely different car. And there is nothing wrong with the BBK intake. I've been running it for 10 years! With no issues.
Hey so did u need to buy a whole new tuner to get it tuned? Or was the tune shop able to get this chip tuned? Thanks.
Just bought this and when I installed it 1-3 tunes car starts I give gas and dies instantly
so over all did the get it right or I should not go with this
They never got me a tune that worked and refused to refund. It's a ripoff. To do it right have to pay a dyno shop to do it.

I would find a local Dino shop. Talk to them about what you got and what they can do for you and weigh the costs, benefits.

trick flow heads and cams?! Theres your problem... why oh why would you think it's a good idea to use a mail order tune with mods like that?? The mail order ones can only go so far and are really only meant to squeeze a little more from basic bolt ons.
I forgot what setting is what? Which one is for race mode?
Yeh I will have to get it Dyno tuned,I hear the chips are only half good for stock bolt ons. If you have heads and higher compression you have to get it dyno tune.Thanks for your info, now I know for sure to wait and get it dyno tune.
Kinda sounds like you have a big vacuum leak which i had on mine that caused problems which was on my intake.This would also throw any tune off quickly
That is just the microphone on the camera. I have a vacuum gauge on a vacuum reservoir. There is plenty of vacuum.
I hate when I here crap like this, I need a tune as well for my fox, cam, heads, all the usual.Dyno tune is booked for 2 months and they charge to much.So I may have to live with the bad idle.Thanks for the heads up
If you have a dyno tune your car with a chip for you everyone says that is the way that works. Ordering a tune over the internet does not.
I have a BAMA chip and it seems like it runs lean and doesn’t seem to make a performance difference in my opinion I’m going to take mine off and see if the computer does better without the chip.. but other people have told me the BAMA chip is garbage..
The chip is pretty ok. It just needs a good and accurate tune loaded on it. After I had a friend hook up his laptop and he created an accurate tune it helps my car run great with all the mods I've done to it like heads, cam, custom MAF, etc. If you have a stock engine the chip won't really do anything as there is nothing above stock to tune for.

Having the same exact issue, sent back once already, and about to have to call them again. they know about all my mods as well. Not so high hopes at this point.
My advice is when you give up on their crappy tunes don't return the chip because they won't give you a refund for it. You can either sell the chip online or have a local dyno shop tune it (which is probably what I will eventually do). Luckily I got a refund forced by my credit card but still wasted an entire summer and lots of sweat on BAMA.
If you buy the chip with the tunes on it can you still burn other tunes on the chip?
Yes. All tune chips are re programmable. It is more like flashing then burning. Anyone that has a chip interface unit can hook it up to a PC and tune the chip. A dyno shop does it for a fee. The chip programmers are pretty expensive.

When your switching in between tunes how do you know which tune is which?
After I got the chip tuned by a friend with the proper software he created, I think, 3 separate tunes and the Eliminator chip comes with a switch to toggle the different tunes. If I remember correctly there's not much difference between the tunes tho, they are for different gas octane contents. But I only ever use one of those tunes anyway.
From the sounds of it it sounds like the maff airflow sensor not responding with the chip try changing that out
They specifically programed the chip for the specific MAF I have. The entire tune was faulty. They sell the chip with Free tunes but the tunes don't often work.

I talked to several of their techs on the phone in depth. The light is supposed to stay on.
