BEST SaltWater Fly!

This is one of the most versatile saltwater patterns out there and can catch just about anything targeting smaller bait fish. While this one was made for bone fish, I've had good luck using it for striped bass.

🌴 Some 20 years ago a local old timer fly fisher named Carl Hanson taught a bunch of us a variation of this was a bend back , it had aluminum foil body covered with monofilament wrap and white deer hair tied with red thread , it didn’t have lead eyes but it worked great it was his rendition of the glass minnow , I’ll have to try a couple of your pattern , have you tried it with bead eyes?

Sounds like a great pattern! I have not because I like the weight. But I dont see any reason it wouldn't work. Just might not ride inverted depending on the weight
