That's why I was happy to release it! Lucky I was able to do it with a logged in car as well. Which is incredibly difficult to have happen. I'd need a customer to buy the car, me set it up for them, then they leave and pick up the car at a later day, all of which occurring while we are slow enough to give me time to record!
Watching your video. I see the Navigation, Music and Phone icons are in color?? Is that a new feature or upgrade to only the 2022 Taycan? Or is a software update for all Taycans.
seeing as 2 of my cars don't even have infotainment, and 1 is lucky enough to have a cassette player I can agree to the peace and quite a blank screen can bring! lol
This is our first 2022 with this system, it seems to be an early year update. I don't know much else past that. I remember them mentioning it in training, but I don't have the exact build dates.
Technically not early production 2022's. I can't find the exact production dates needed to have this new infotainment. Anything produced after this point will have it.
I am very curious as to the color of the PCM icons. I have a 2022 Taycan Cross Turismo, and my infotainment icons are monochromatic. I have had the car 1 month. Could it be that I didn’t get the updated version? I have also been having a lot of problems with the PCM (screens not coming on when I get in), Apple CarPlay not connecting, etc. Could the older PCM without the colored icons be the source of my problem? That is to say, not the fact that the icons are colored, but that the updated PCM has the colors.
You wouldn't have the latest PCM version, but it does not answer for your issues. I would recommend videoing the issue occurring (safely of course) then bringing the car in for service with that video proof.
We took a taycan turbo to a polo event, the car was equipped with the same Mission-E wheels you are interested in. The event was at the end of about a quarter mile bumpy limestone road. The car blew my mind at how well it handled the bumps it was almost bizarre. I really recommend Air suspension if you are worried about ride quality, but either way, the Taycans ride really nicely. To give an idea, it handled the bumps better than our cayenne we were using to carry the equipment. I was incredibly impressed.
Good info, but try not to say "Of Course" 217 times in your next video. We are learning about our cars, so nothing, to us, is "Of Course". HUGE distractor

Watched this several times with much gratitude as I to prep for a delivery without your live expertise. 😁
LOL! I recognize this name!
Thanks for this Taycan video and the earlier one about how to set things up. I benefitted from both and highly recommend them to new owners.
Thanks for your explanations , PCM 6.2 is new in 2022 and your' re the first one with this video

Stop, stop stop.... You had me at Porsche.
That's usually all it takes for me as well!
This may sound a bit daft, but is there an ‘Auto Hold’ (for when you’re stuck in traffic) function within the Taycan settings
Yup, it's typically on by default in the settings.
Think you so much for doing this 😊
My pleasure!

Currently only for the most recently produced 2022's. No software update as of yet for previous iterations.
Turn PCM OFF is the best thing about this convoluted cockpit.

I took delivery of my 22 Taycan 2 weeks ago and my infotainment system doesn’t look like that with the color icons. Do I need to update it?

Its the PCM 6.2 , the latest edition 2022
Is the new PCM coming to all 2022 Taycan CT ?
If the car isn't produced yet, or just now being produced, then in theory it should have this PCM.

Take the car to your Porsche dealer for the update. No charges will be applied, plus it may take two days for the update.
@@ahmedjawad9298 Yup! the update is out and we are performing them! If all goes well it takes a day or so as you stated.
What about in 2020 model porsche taycan 4s will i get the new PCM version?
Unless an update comes that hasn't been mentioned yet, I would assume no.
Okey, because i got email where i have all the information how to get New version, but when i tried step by step nothing happend.. :(
@@jas-5911 An update could've been just for some bug fixes, but the update you got was not to go to this version.
I got the Mission E concept wheels, I am nervous my drive will not be as smooth as say a bmw 3-5 series...??? Any thoughts, experience

Thank you for the quick reply appreciate it
@@__SKYNET__ My pleasure!
Will ride fine. Mission E wheels are the LEAST efficient wheels though.
Does Taycan have a mobile app?
Yes, it's called the MyPorsche app.
@@theporschepro1065 apparently it is not available in all regions including ours. I am currently in Dubai. Would you know anything on that?
@@depindersinghpannu Not a thing unfortunately. How bizarre though.
Does it now save vehicle settings like if I turn on sport sound? Or will it reset and turn off every time I turn off the vehicle?
you said letting off the gas; this will be an outdated terminology hehe :)
lol, hard habits to break no doubt!
that PCM is still ages behind Tesla and most Chinese EV.

Uh sir, I only said it exactly 216 times. lol In a 1 take video, there's bound to be some filler words.
