So, also... sometimes you'll have to melt the factory thread sealant on the set screw. Try to apply some fingernail polish back in there to re-seal it or It could very well go caddywhompers on you again. If the thermostats stem is crooked at all it could catch & start working it loose. One scenario, there are several. Good job, thanks!

This is really good stuff for beginners. You guys are doing a good public service that nobody out there is doing! I will introduce these videos to customers and co workers at 3wire
Omar Rodriguez Thanks for saying so. I'm just trying to do my part. A lot of service companies out there are sending me hate mail for giving away their "secrets". Obviously they don't understand the true value of what I am trying to do here. But I really appreciate it, Omar. If there is anything you or your customers or co workers want to see, just shoot me an email info@windycityaz.com and address me in the subject line. Thanks for watching!
@@Windycityequip hi, I have a churros electric fryer. I tried to adjust the thermostat, it reached at the maximum of 99, but the oil still not at the right temperature we needed to cook. Should I go further a 100 and more?
If the dial setpoint is 350 and the measured temp of oil is 410degrees, TUrning CLockwise wise to lower? Did you turn on video counter clock wise 45 degrees? or just until burners came on
Great videos you guys, I have an imperial gas fryer CIFS-40-Op And every time we turn it on it makes a a loud explosion noise and some times the burners go off for a long period of time any help would be good?
Thanks Mohammed. OP means you have an open pot fryer. My best guess is that you have ceramic "targets" missing above the orifices and/or your pilot isn't adjusted properly. This is allowing the gas to build under the fryer until it finally ignites, but then extinguishes itself from the gust. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
You guys are Really doing a excellent job. You might want to put safety warnings on all of your videos example only do this if you are a trained professional . Leaking gas could cause fires along with electrical shock. I'm a former firefighter. Just don't want to see anyone get hurt. Have a blessed day
+Pat Stansberry yeah, I've been thinking that too. We have the safety guidelines in the description of all the videos, but now that UA-cam changed their layout, it's not easily seen. I just have to figure out a way to get it on all videos at once.
I have an older Vulcan fryer with broken GS type thermostat. And I'm not sure of the combination valve. Should I replace original or is it better to use a newer system?
Not really. There's always going to be a variance or threshold, if you will because of the residual heat factor. Once the flames go off water or oil will still continue to rise in temperature until the metal cools or something else absorbs the heat. In this setting, the thermostats are always going to have a necessary swing. Thanks for watching!
I am getting a wild yellow flame out of my fryer tryed to adjust the regulator and steal the flame is wild how clean the burners put them back on and still nothing help
Hey Will, it still sounds like a gas pressure issue to me. Either that or you have a blockage in the flame tubes or exhaust flue. Check for blockages first and if you still have problems then you'll need to take a gas pressure reading at the output port on the valve
Hafa Adai and Happy New Year from the Island of Guam. I'm having trouble with a Vulcan deep fryer burning bright yellow and creating a lot of soot. I tried adjusting the gas valve but nothing is happening. The unit is rated for LPG, which is correct for me. please help if you can. I'm already thinking of ordering smaller orifices. Thanks in advance. oh and great job on the tutorials. Seen 2 videos and liking it.
+Rey Senior Orifices could absolutely be the issue. You may also have to remove the burners and flush them completely. If they are dirty, it will restrict airflow and cause yellow flame. Unfortunately, LPG air/fuel mixture is very precise and is very difficult to get a blue flame sometimes. If you can't adjust the pressure, your gas valve may also be bad. I would start with the orifices though, that's much less expensive. What is the BTU rating for the fryer? Use this chart to make sure you are getting the proper BTU's, Measure the gas pressure with a manometer and the orifice size with orifice drills www.hvacredu.net/gas-codes/module2/Gas%20Orifice%20Capacity%20Chart.pdf Hope this helps a bit, thanks for watching!
+Windy City Restaurant Equipment Repair Hi There Wish you a very Happy new year from Toronto! My fryer(Frymaster-GF14SD) is not able to keep up the stable temperature, I set it at 350 but after few minutes it goes down to 200 but thermostat is still at 350. This problem is only occurring one or two times a day and fryer is also making mild sound(before it used to be loud) Thanks for help.
Kuldeep Blaser Hmm. Sounds like maybe a gas valve or thermostat problem. When you say it was making a "mild sound" can you describe what that sounds was? Was it a click or a "woosh"?
Different fryers use different gas valves, there is not always one universal way to adjust. On the most common fryer gas valves, however, you can follow the pilot line into the valve and look for a small silver flat head screw. This will usually be very near the pilot line and this flathead screw is usually just a "cap" that covers the the actual adjustment screw. Remove the flat head and locate the adjustment screw beneath (another smaller flat head). Turn clockwise to adjust the flame down, counterclockwise to adjust the flame up. Hope this helps! +Adrian Broughton That's a great idea. I can't believe I haven't done a video on that yet. I will work on it. Check back soon to see it. Thanks for watching!
What kind of fryer is it? I'm guessing you either have a pilot malfunctioning and flashing off the burners or the screens on the front of the burners are restricting gasflow (if its a Pitco). Let me know!
So, also... sometimes you'll have to melt the factory thread sealant on the set screw. Why is my cookrite tstat hard to turn when hot
What cause’s everything to go out when the fryer hits temperature ?
Is it possible to use thermostats that are more precise? Like 10F increments or so? We want to use it to boil water.

IS this possible with small kitchen deep fryers like the Tefal Easy pro FR333070?
What brand thermometer are you using?
Comark DT33. It's done me well over the years. Just don't melt it. Thanks for watching!

It's a click sound...yesterday it worked fine whole day but it is making click sound occasionally.
How do you adjust the pilot on the fryer mine is screeching, up to high! What do I do?

my fryer has like a small explosions every time it comes on, what could that be??? It will wake you up for sure

Fryer is turned on gets up to temp but doesn't shut off gets above desired temp
actually gets so hot it starts smoking
High limit definitely sounds bad. Temp could be caused by a bad tstat OR a failed gas valve. 90% of the time its the tstat. Thanks for watching!
