Welcome back to Season 2 of FTB FILM STUDY, and welcome to the beginning of Penn State's 2022 Spring Practice! In this video, Coach Codutti helps us understand Manny Diaz's use of split-field coverage and how those confusing looks from his secondary cause opposing QBs to hesitate and not trust their eyes...which leads to turnovers and sacks.

Sounds like we are gonna need some really sharp dudes in the secondary. Thank goodness Sutherland is a LB now ;)

Manny Diaz will be a head coach within 2-3 years after he makes PSU the number one defense in 2022. Manny Diaz is a guy

LOL, Diaz is a very, very average DC. He makes the opposing QB look like he’s an NFL 1st round. PSU fans will come to hate his very undisciplined defense. Don’t take my word, just ask the Miami fans and Texas fans .

😂😂😂😂😂 you must have missed his career at Miami. Lmao. The guy is an average DC and shit head coach. Good luck with the secondary. You’ll be giving up a ton of yards through the air! Enjoy having players that can’t tackle and being out of position. Bwhahahahahah

Only reason miami Defenses used to suck is because of poor tackling. Penn st won't have that issue.

Miami black uniforms and black helmets might be the worst alternates in all of college football lol

Seems very high risk, high reward. Not sure that fits Franklin's personality, honestly

To us, the Franklin-Diaz dynamic is gonna be fascinating. He's a former P5 head coach...Franklin hasn't had anyone on his staff with that kind of cache before. Moorhead was a head coach but an FCS head coach. Will Franklin largely leave Diaz alone to do his thing like he did w/ Moorhead?

I disagree -- Franklin has said many times that his teams want splash plays on both sides of the ball. Getting Manny makes sense in that regard.

He hired Moorhead and that man's first year was basically the epitome of a boom or bust offense.

Enjoy players that can’t tackle and being out of position! 😂😂😂😂. Ran out of Texas and Miami.
